@ the group involved with Aziens NPC's. You dont actually HAVE to be held up by them. Reason being, he is delaying you from finding him/us by using an NPC. One of the rules of NPC's are that they can not be used as an extention of what your character can not physically do himself. In other words, creating an NPC for rp can not be used for personal benefit. (Unless you all are ok with it) With that being said, while you cant control the NPC yourselves. You can control the rp in your own way because the fact is they have no stats to make checks against what you want to happen. So if you say were to throw a smoke screen and ditch. No matter what rprical level they are, you can get away because they have no stats to check against it.

Just a general note to the guild regarding NPC's.

An ally item/Summon etc. Does not count as an NPC, it is still a playable character, and as such if they were restricting you to do something you would need to make a check etc. However, because the NPC was made freely IE no points spent and nothing more than an rprical thing. You may rprically avoid them. Case in point being, when sorain and sai attacked the village and escaped capture from village anbu. Because the village anbu are not player characters, as long as it makes sense, you can escape. So a better example of what you CANT do would be. As a genin, go and attack an Anbu NPC and win. Thats simply unrealistic and cant be done like that. However, you can as a genin, distract them, smoke screen, sneak passed them, basically anything that does not fall withen the realm of rprical level vs actual level. Speaking hypothetically if an Anbu was an NPC it would be logically at least level 80 or so. Which means that it would almost impossible to beat in a fight. However, a successful flee attempt using a smoke screen is not out of the realm of possibility because even at level 80 you simply might not be that good at tracking etc. There is no definitive rule on it, its just a "Commence Sense" sort of thing. While commen since would normally dictate that a genin would not be able to out do an Anbu at anything, it is not reasonable OOC wise to be able to create NPC's to restrict the movement of another Player Character, but at the same time it is not reasonable to say that a Genin would be able to beat an Anbu rprically either.

Just use common sense when it comes to rprical situations that include forms of OOC. (Which in this case, creating a NPC for the sake of stopping you guys from progressing, is some what of an OOC situation because there is nothing rprically that can be checked to say rather or not the Anbu actually DID confront you, other than Aziens say so).

I just dont want people to get confused into thinking that you can make NPC's when ever you want to do what ever you want, and people HAVE to follow it. Though Azien did nothing wrong, I just wanted to make sure that the rules were clear and understood.
