Gible stopped at the entrance to a small, partially hidden cove. He turned to Zero and pointed; it was one of the few caves in the area, so this one was their closest search. Zero nodded and mentioned the Gible to move away from the entrance. He jumped up to a high branch and gestured for Memo to come close to him. Memo silently landed next to Zero, not even stirring the leaves while he landed.
Zero whispered his thoughts to Memo, turning off his and Memo's TADS. "She may or may not be in this cave. Either way, she's probably set up a warm welcome for us, and the last thing we need is to carelessly barge in to what could be a hideout. Maybe she's expecting us to know that she booby-trapped the area; who knows? If she has the reputation of having a brilliant mind, you'd best keep your guard up." Memo nodded.
"So, do you want to keep calling the shots, Memo? You're higher in rank than I am, so technically I'm supposed to follow your orders, regardless."

"Hehe. Just stay behind me for now." The boy silently fell from the trees and entered the cave. He heard an obvious recording and he knew that traps were set up. As all the traps went off Memo simply weaved, spun, and split through all of them and made his way to an area where it seemed that she had escaped from. "Zero, please, tell me what you think we should do next." Memo said with a giggle as all the ropes and traps fell failed and fell to the floor. Both Elvis and Memo gave a wink as he poked himself from Memo's back. "She thinks she's so smart." By this time the boy had a kunai in hand and played with it lazily, but with an odd fascination.

 Each step made an unavoidable crunch; the air around her was getting colder by the minute. She was nearing the land where permafrost began, and the clouds were blocking out the moonlight. Tommy's Program in her TADS had gone silent [not even the sound of heavy breathing came in], and she pursed her lips [yet again] this cold, cold night. "Looks like he found out something about the bug," she muttered. Talia, her Feebas, was giving her an awkward look. So far, she wasn't complaining about the getting-colder weather, but as a precaution, Ciel gave a small scarf around the head. [Besides, it made it look prettier, which was always a plus in her books.] With each step, she rose higher and higher, the lack of moonlight making her trip somewhere between crazy and just-doable. The scientist soon began to climb over a series of rocks; the tree-line was beginning to show and the pines were fading away. FAR down below, too far for her eyes to see in this darkness, rested the main part of the forest and the beaches. If she could get up in time, she had a chance at winning! Nothing was a 1oo% success rate [if someone told you it was, they were lying], but... she had some hope.

Zero nodded, inspecting the traps and looking at the recording from the TADS. "Well, judging by how these traps were laid out, I'm guessing she left from here. And I'm assuming that these traps were laid out quickly, so..." His eyes turned to the undergrowth. He walked back out of the cove, focusing his eyes on a certain pattern of broken leaves and bent grass. "She couldn't have gotten far. My guess is that she'll go somewhere where she can hide her tracks, like a river, and then go either upstream or downstream, whichever will lead her to an easier method of escaping."
He looked at Memo. "Either way, I'll need your eyes up in the trees again. Nothing we passed by had the same yellow color as her hair, so keep on the lookout. Let's go." He ran after the path, following in Ciel's footsteps.

"Got it. Leave it to me." The boy gave nod and smile as he held the kunai in hand and Elvis on his head. He headed for higher ground and watched Zero from a distance with glossy eyes. "Hmmm." As the boy made his way up he noticed an odd shape climbing up and tilted his head. He spun the kunai and then flung it out towards the silhouette. If he missed it would be on purpose, after all he just wanted to capture the Doctor, not kill her. He sent Zero a message saying to be listening for a shriek or rusting above. "These new recruits..." He prepared his Shellos for another move and waited. "Are pretty good."

The woman went as far high up as she could, making sure all of her skin, minus her face, was covered. "C'mon, Talia," she muttered, picking her little Feebas as she saw an outcrop of rocks that was hidden from people's who's eyesight was lower than there. And if Mr. Hanabari and Zero were above her, all was already lost. "55% success. I can take that, and so can you, Talia," she muttered. With a stifling yawn, the woman squeezed her figure in the rocky nest she was going to call a 'bed' that night. She set her TADS to vibrate at 4 : oo AM; plenty of time for a quick nap. Far down below, the kunai that Hanabari threw hit not a certain blonde doctor; but a certain blonde -yellow Pokémon - Chingling!!! A wild Chingling!

Zero heard a distinct chiming in the distance. He sighed; a Chingling. Of course. He stopped at the river and looked around, the light beginning to become too dim for the search to continue. He squatted down and stared carefully at the grass leading upriver, downriver, and at the sandy river itself. A faint footprint was visible, going north. Zero nodded; at least he was getting somewhere.
He looked up at Memo and sighed. Of all things, Memo was perhaps a bit too predictable. He sent his message. Memo, since you seem to be good at sneaking by the forest undetected, search the lower half of the forest overnight. To be sure that we're going the right way, I'll search downriver, where the beach is. It'll be easy to find her if she's at the beach, and I'm sure your skills can be put to good use looking for her in the forests. Either way, we can't continue going up the mountain until we get better lighting. We could ruin her tracks without knowing it, or mistake each other for the enemy. You can rest if you want, but I'll be searching the lower grounds, just in case. Meet up with me here by the river at around 4 AM; if she's in the mountains, the sun will reach her first, and we can't let her get a head start. -Zero
Zero ran off to the beach. If he was going to search the area, he had better do it quickly; time was short, and there was only so much he could search before the lighting was well enough to continue searching upriver.

Dark trots into HQ looking pretty beat up, but happy. He's been training again, with his Pokemon. He plops down on the couch after grabbing a coffee.

~Sanctus Espiritus... Maddy teleported into HQ and jumped up into her usual corner. She took out her book and continued to read it, hoping someone would come by and make something happen. She sighed as her TADS began to vibrate, but she ignored it. "..."... Redeem us from our solemn hour~

She was cloaked by the darkness of the night sky and clouds.... Redeem us from our solemn hour~ He asks, noticing that Maddy had already left. He scratches his head and sighs. A portal of pure darkness appears below him and he's pulled into it willingly. It vanishes once he's pulled in.
