FieryLavaElf Answer: Sunshine is my 23-year old Red-ear Slider. Yes, technically he's an amphibious turtle but 99.9 percent of the time he spent under water than on the land made of styrofoam... xp Anyway, unlike the sea turtles, his feet are webbed but has claws (sea turtles have flippers) plus the way his legs are formed... they're not great for walking distances. Hence, they slide across the land (well, in this case, his styrofoam platform) much like the sea turtles. Most pet shops classified these sliders as either aquatic turtles or fresh water turtles. Sorry about the run on sentences... sweatdrop
At least my guess was close in classification, taxonomically speaking anyway. whee

Demented Lamb How long do these turtles live? 20 to 40 plus years depending on lots of factors.
