Vahn and Silver sort of did that in Aekea. The original plan was actually to have a tank rupture and they were going to fight in it all epic-like, but we ran out of time, so it was only briefly mentioned at the end and never actually seen.

So, while cleaning, I found a box set of the Final Fantasy Unlimited anime.
The problem being, I don't know where it came from, how I came into possession of it, or what it is.

The art style kind of has a... Kingdom Hearts-esque look to it, if you ask me. I'm all for anime style, but I feel like they took a few too many liberties, particularly with the female characters. But then again, I'm also conflicted about it, since I like the heavy lines that they use as well.
The gameplay and music are really what keep me into it.

I tried it - the combat system was very cool, but I couldn't get drawn in due to the story and the gimmicky'ness of the clothing system. Just didn't appeal to me, unfortunately.
At least Square is trying original things, though, instead of countless FF remakes/sequels/etc.

Yeah, it was the same artist for at least one of the Kingdom Hearts games. Probably the one also on DS. But I dunno. I never played any of them out of sheer disgust.

I played Kingdom Hearts because I had just picked up a PS2 and I was looking for good games. To their credit, they managed to create a compelling story with familiar characters from both Disney and Final Fantasy that worked together well.
Then they made Kingdom Hearts II, which was basically another Final Fantasy game with Disney characters tacked on.
Although it did win for having Tron.
And I'm pretty sure the artist for TWEWY also did KHII; in fact, I think I still have the standee for KHII, one of the nicer perks of when I worked at GameStop.
