Sticking my head out to see what's happening. I've been in a hole of my own digging, but I'm thinking I may be seeing my shadow right now. Six more weeks of winter, minimum.
My news:
Custom pottery orders have swamped me. It's the plates that are doing it. I have made about 25 plates by now, but only four are usable, because of glaze adventures. Mostly pitting, bubbling, and/or shearing off to make razor-sharp shards; but also, I was holding a tray of three greenware plates (greenware: shaped on the wheel, but not fired to make them strong yet) and a klutz blundered into me so that all the plates fell to the floor and smashed.
Finally opened
my Etsy shop. No longer taking custom orders, at least not for now. What you see is what you get.
Next Sunday, I'm going to my friend SD's place to make a batch of castile soap. I'll let you all know how it turns out, if I remember to log into Gaia.
I'm headed to
Gulf Wars in March. This is probably the most exciting thing on my plate right now.
