You have to build up a resistance to face-crushing if you want to do professional faceplanting in the Olympics.
*Climbs back up for another dive.*

I'm pretty sure faceplanting is a normal anime-themed Olympic game.

Well, of course. But they didn't simply know how to faceplant effectively; they had to train for it first!

Aaaah, I remember my childhoods days when my coach use to make us do one hundred face plants a day. We ended up with a lot broken faces, but in the end we were able to faceplant instantly like pros.

I was trained on emotions when I was growing up. Sweat drops, vein marks, even that swirly eye thing.
Johnny never was the same after that last one.

But the hardest of them all was causing the background to change to lines to express how angry or ashamed I was. I caused a lot of seizures to some folks, but in the end, it came natural.
And then that face-size changing thing, I always hated doing that.

Try making speedlines. Nearly put my eye out once trying to get those things to show up when I was charging at someone, and they sliced up my arms pretty good.
Or even causing you and your opponent's outline to go black while everything else went white. And you can only do that on a finishing blow.
... poor Johnny.

His name is Robert Paulson.
