Cocking her head to the side, she watched as he attempted to set the cup down behind him---and failed. Holding back a grin and muffling a small laugh, she pressed her lips together in hopes of keeping herself from actually laughing. It was hard to determine what was going on in his head right now.. Her move was kind of sudden. It wouldn't be all too surprising if he was shocked, or even confused.

Brushing a strand of hair from her face, she gave a small shake of her head as he apologized. "Its not your fault. Not everyone knows of what I can, or can not do. So there's no way you could have known." She could, of course, taste things, she just couldn't swallow any of it.. Not unless she wanted to deal with the consequences of cleaning an awful mess later. "Sorry about the mess though.." She murmured, staring down at the punch coating his foot. Maybe there was some paper towels around..? Gaze lifting to eye the boil again at his question, she finally gave up on holding any laughter back. "Hah hah! No, unfortunately I can't produce any to contribute. Sorry." Shame that.

Sobering up from her laughter, she glanced about the dance floor, catching sight of that boil again with---Junko!? Oh! That's where she had seen him before! Yes! Her groanspring page! Oh, it all made sense now. Shaking it from her head, she hoped to put Junko out of her mind for the rest of the night. Last thing she wanted to do was to meet with her.. Luckily though, she had left her plushies at home, safe from the ghoul's evil touch! Snapping out of her daze, Mei looked to Bul again as he finished drinking some of his punch. "You think so?" She asked, letting a small smile form again. To be honest, Mei had tuned out most of the music until he had mentioned it again. "Want to..?" She questioned, holding out a hand for him. She just hoped that they would be as far from Junko as possible out on the dance floor.

She had been in the middle of trying to decipher what he had said when he had kissed her. Whatever he had said, she had forgotten it, so surprised by his kiss. It wasn't nearly as awkward as the first kiss since it was a quick one to the lips, so she found she didn't mind it much at all. She wasn't sure if she wanted to go any further though. She didn't want to give him the wrong idea but judging by this kiss, maybe she already had? Oh no, what if she broke his heart or something? Did undead boys have those kind of feelings? Heartbreak? The last thing she wanted to do was hurt Christof. It was a strange feeling, caring about someone other than herself but he had been nothing but good to her. He didn't deserve to get hurt.

"Patches, I think.. maybe we are taking this too fast. I.. to be honest, you're the first boil I have ever kissed and I'm not sure.. what I mean to say is.. I'm not ready for anything.. serious or.. terribly complicating. I like you. I do. I don't want you to end up hurt, especially by me." She sighed and looked down at the ground. She felt awful.

Mimic snapped at the scareon. It did not like to be touched, sniffed at, checked out or anything by such disgusting creatures. He was a shiny, pretty thing, not to be trifled with. Surely no one would notice if one lone minipet went missing... but he wasn't sure he could swallow the whole thing. Evidence was a blasted thing. Instead, he opted to try to ignore the furball.

West grunted with laughter, partially at Yaya's words, but mostly due to the fact that he had just executed some form of dance move without actually doing much at all. It might have been amusing and mildly impressive, but he still felt foolish.

"Sh'might be." He shrugged. If Tset was having a decent time at all, West was sure it wasn't the result of anything he was doing.

The demon felt a stab of pride as a direct result of the djinn's compliment, but fought to keep his expression neutral. He knew what she was doing and he wasn't just going to lap up her praise like a desperate dog. "So what iffit is? Ican be a nice, prissy lil'demon easy. Pullout sum chairs, curtsy n'bow. Where's th'funnin doin' that all th'time?" In truth, being proper and displaying kindness were rarely actions that came easily to the boil. There were times when West lacked the ability to control himself, but that's why he was in school, right? Maybe he'd learn the secret to being nice all the time, maybe not. At the moment, he didn't care either way.

Christof flushed as he pulled back, hands trembling and clenching and unclenching. Calder had said all it would take was a kiss or two and she'd come back with him but... but now she was complicating things. "R-right... Um." He fidgeted, glancing down the path with a sudden panic. He had felt those lips again, even for a second, and his mind was racing with visions of clean cuts and patterns and shapes and if he just cut along the curve of her jaw there, and up along the lines of the nose there would be minimal seams...

But Calder's plan seemed to not have worked. But... but she liked him? As far as he could tell, few people *liked* him. Riley and Malodore and Barth all found him useful, and he was pretty sure the Kelpie hated him or he wouldn't be constantly putting him in these embarrassing situations, and he was also fairly confident Miss Lizzy was wary of him and he KNEW his relationship with Barth's friend Colette was shaky at best... alright, maybe Miss Amrita liked him, but... she didn't count. That was just an experiment.

He swallowed thickly, nodding a bit too enthusiastically, "Da, um. Um. Thorry I er..." Nobody was around. They were all off at the dance or possibly doing whatever it was teenagers did alone in the dark in hidden places together and more than likely indisposed. "I um. I'we newer done anything like thith before." He managed, fingers fidgeting with eachother now. If she screamed they might hear something- but if he went directly for the mouth- better go with the right hand, it wouldn't matter if she bit off a finger or two- His heart was racing. "I um."

Malodore's constant warnings resurfaced like whales breaching turbulant waters, words like "Suspension" and "Without expressive permission" grabbed a hold of the edge of his senses and he drew in a sharp breath. His movements were stiff and anxious as he suddenly gave her a bow, "I am thorry I wath the betht you could do, I am thure you would hawe preferred thomeone ... er... " Able to stand upright? More demonic? Less of a manufactured man-servant? Wasn't obsessively fantasizing about cutting her into more manageable pieces? "Thomeone you knew better," He finished lamely. "I... I thould go, it'th been a long night," His tongue was throbbing, the numbing from the ice cubes burning off with fresh waves of fire in his skull. "Um. Thank you. Again. For coming. THCRUFF NO!"

He turned to shout at the fat little sharp-toothed creature that had irreverently lifted it's leg to claim it's new found Interesting Thing as it's own, but thankfully was spotted before it would do anything that would warrant losing a limb- if not all of them. With an excited yap, it hurtled after it's hunchbacked master, tail wagging merrily as Christof turned on his heal and all but ran from the pretty Ghoul before he too did something he regretted.

Ren grinned at Alessa, arching a brow in amusement. "Oh, I am, am I?" he said, leaning towards her and touching his forehead to hers. "Am I getting what I want, then?"

With a laugh, he pecked a quick kiss to her forehead, noticing the way her hand squeezed his. The little gesture made him smile, stupidly pleased inside, and he reached out, picking up a plastic plate. The tables were filled with typical school dance food: stale cookies, dry cake, little bits of fruit, and of course, a nearly untouched tray of cut vegetables. Ren made a beeline towards that particular side of the table, taking several pieces of broccoli and carrots before turning back to Alessa.

"Did you want something?" he asked, and then trailed off as she answered his question, feeling his face grow hotter. Alessa stood up on her tiptoes, kissing him lightly. What had started out as a pale shade of red on his face quickly turned into a vibrant scarlet, and for a few moments Ren couldn't say anything. His mouth opened, then closed, and then he smiled at Alessa, ducking his head to nuzzle her nose with his own.

"Good," he said, hugging her tightly. "I'm glad."

When he didn't trod on her bare feet or send them both crashing to the ground, the djinn put a little extra oomph in their movement. Turning them a little quicker as well as switching up the stance minutely. Instead of holding him with both hands curled around his neck, Yaya took a hold of his hand and held it up in proper stance for something relaxed, though passable. She didn't comment on it, didn't make a big deal of it, simply eased him into it so his feet would naturally follow.

As he spoke she watched his expression. He was easily the most animated person she knew, and weird or not, she enjoyed his mood swings. His emotions were rich enough that Yaya could tap into them and get a sample. It was delightful and occasionally heady.

"I'm sure you could," She murmured, trying to hold back a soft chuckle. "But you shouldn't make a habit of it. If you were anything but you, you wouldn't be half so interesting." It was a compliment, and a big one. "And believe me, interesting applies to you in abundance."

"Darn," Bul said sarcastically with a snap of his finger, although he would've liked to have it anyway especially since Mei had played an exclusive role on this day for him. Oh well, he could always just.. see her again! And hey she even laughed. Not a grimace or a sickened look but laughter. That meant they could be cool, right?

Finishing off his cup, Bul watched as the doll glanced at Junko and seemed to froze. This time he noticed the.. indirect tension between them but figured since Mei wasn't seething in rage or anything like that it was something small. Or at least small enough that he wouldn't have to chase after an upset crying girl. Could Mei cry? Now he was just confused.

"Yeah yeah for sure!" ((I'm loling- read this in Ukranian accent cause a friend of ours from there always says this)) he replied as she held out her hand. With a crunch of the cup Bul tossed it aside and quickly took her hand in his and worked their way back onto the floor to keep on dancing. In the meantime though he had lost track of Seiji and Junko. Maybe it would be good for Mei and perhaps all of them in the long run.

Of course, it wouldn't be too much longer of dancing and working up a sweat until Bul would bead little red drops of sweat. He didn't notice it but this was generally the sign of a break-out. They were sporadic enough that he could walk away from the dance with a couple boils on him.. and not in the fun sense.

If she blushed any harder Seiji was worried she might pass out from lack of blood to the brain. It was cute, in a way, but it also made him very self aware. Her nerves were actually managing to make him nervous in turn, and he had to muster up more concentration then was strictly necessary to to trod on one of her feet as they moved. Rolling his eyes down to her he gave her a considering sort of look, almost a frown, before smiling gently. "Hey," he murmured, head tilting as he watched her. "Just relax, ok?" That pointy grin returned in full, reassuring. "You're having fun, right?"

Sure, the dating game could be a scary place, but it didn't have to be nerve wrecking or stressful. At least not all the time.

When she asked about hanging out more he chuckled, smiling taking on a decidedly smug curl. She wanted to hang out more. They'd barely met, and she was already asking about next time. That was an ego stroke if ever the ghost had heard one. "Sure, whenever you want." He wasn't going to impose of course, but there was little mistaking the eagerness in his voice.

Held so close to him, he couldn't help but notice that she was a dainty thing. Petite, like her hands. Except those legs.. Somehow, despite being short, those legs managed to look a mile long. It could have been the stockings, or the platformed sandals, but whatever the reason the boil was a fan.

"That must be awful," she said while giving it consideration. "Being around someone basically chewing on 'you'." Colette placed the cupcake back in its place, deciding against taking any more. She had a few cookies already, she didn't need to take another thing; even if she wanted to.

Calder taking a seat on the table and eating the less than perfect cookie like it was no problem bothered her, but she tried not to stare. Instead, she stood in her place and picked up one of her three cookies, taking a careful bite out of it as to not get crumbs anywhere. Sitting on the table wasn't proper, she knew that, but eating that cookie wasn't exactly good or bad; it was just.. gross. To her, anyway. Boils will be boils, she assumed.

Colette was still chewing when Calder asked his question, and she tried to nod and buy time while chewing faster so she wouldn't have to speak with food in her mouth. Finally swallowing, she answered, "Yes! Um. I think so." Nicely dressed ghouls, boils, and some that weren't either; food; other stuff; and dancing. What else was there to expect? Though the dancing didn't end well, it was still a good try. "I'm sure this has everything a dance is supposed to. I didn't really know what to expect." Having Calder as a date certainly wasn't it, but she couldn't complain at all. "What about you?"

Grinning up as he took her hand and headed over to the dance floor once again; Mei made sure to not make any eye contact with the futakuchi-onna in high hopes that she hadn't noticed her yet---yeah right. At least among the crowd of students dancing, they seemed to had disappear from view for the time being, thank Jack! For now, she could relax and enjoy herself, and work on getting these dance moves down.

It took a moment before she started to get the movements down again, but not with the odd step here and there. Granted, it would take a lot more than a few dances before she would be able to get out onto the dance floor and move without fault. For now, it was just fun.

If there was one good thing about being a living doll---it was that there was no shortage of breath. None! If it weren't for the whole cracking issue, Mei could probably go on all night and more so without a problem. Though, she doubted she would be able to say the same for everyone else.. Besides, it wouldn't be as much fun to continue without anyone else to dance with. "Thanks for coming with me today, in case I didn't already say it."

What? Why was he frowning? Junko pouted a bit at the frown and opened her mouth to tell him to stop that until he smiled and spoke, blinking and just staring at him. Relax. Right. Sh-she wanted to! She really did. This was strange even for Junko. She giggled and smiled, nodding her head and leaning into him; the leaning didn't mean anything other than...purely leaning, she was just trying to behave more comfortably like she did with her other friends. "I'm having lots of fun! Especially now that you're here! I was so disappointed when it looked like you wouldn't be able to make it." Junko pouted at him for a moment at that but brightened up again a moment later, adjusting her hold on him to be a tad bit more comfortable.

That was a strange smile. She tilted her head a bit like a curious puppy and blinked, some of her hair raising much like a dog's ear. She ignored it. Why wouldn't she want to hang out? They'd been talking a lot over groanspring, why wouldn't Junko continue to treat him like a friend even in person? That'd be silly. But that smile was peculiar. But she was glad they could hang out, she really was! "Good! I'm glad." She cast a glance around to make sure Mei-Xiu wasn't around, holding herself close to Seiji as a source of comfort. She would have done that for anyone! Really! Seiji just happened to be her current source.

Junko carefully rest her head against Seiji and giggled, trying not to wreck the buns in her hair. Underneath her hair She was scowling, nearly growling with displeasure. Yet another idiot making Junko happy and wrecking all her hard work. Great. Juuuuust great. "This isn't so bad after all. Maybe it's because you don't have a tail like Malodore." Junko mused, turning her head so her chin was against his chest and she was looking up at Seiji with a smile. Dancing could be fun, apparently! Even if they weren't moving too much. "I think I like dancing with you. Is there anything else you want to do, though~?" She asked out of innocent curiosity. He just got there! Surely there had to be something he wanted to do aside from dance. Maybe he was hungry? Ohoh! Maybe he would like to do scareoke with her? It was a shame he hadn't arrived earlier when all the games were going on.

The wrath demon grinned then, finally fully taking her bait. "Damn right," he chuckled. "What wouldya all do withou'me'ere t'make things int'restin'?" His feet shuffled along, if not in the most graceful of ways, then certainly in a wholly satisfactory manner, and he didn't seem to notice when she shifted their movements a bit closer to an actual dance. At least he didn't notice until he stepped a little too far to one side and stumbled, catching himself right before he fell into Yaya.

His lips pressed into a narrow line and he slowed their dance back to something more plodding and uncomfortable. "Jus'so y'know. This's not me havin' fun." Bah. Sneaky marid.

Tybalt blinked out of confusion when the little Chupacabra hugged him. Was it because he wasn't mad? Or was she just really happy? Well whatever the reason, he was glad that she hadn't disappeared to go and hide or something. That was the last thing he would wanted.

"Ehhh?" He took a good look at her again; only just realizing that she had changed into her track uniform. "So we do!" He couldn't help the smile that crept across his face. He hadn't even realized she brought her track uniform with her. "What happened to your dress?" He asked, not that he thought she should still be wearing it if she didn't want to. In all honesty, he preferred the track uniform.
"I. . . I decided I want to be a bit more comfortable. You were smart in wearing your uniform, it is something I should have done first."

The Chupacabra didn't want to admit that she'd ruined her dress in a small fit of upset but she didn't really like lying to Tybalt either. This evening was awkward and needed to end soon, even if she was glad that he wasn't mad and was smiling at her. Still. . . . there was no need to linger, not now that many people were leaving; even if she was the VP of StuCon she had some things to do, like prepare for clubs and classes and whatever else she'd been sadly slacking off from.

"But. . . well, I. . . I think I should be going now. I just wanted to make sure that you were okay and tell you again that I was sorry. I. . .I hope I'll see you soon at track practice, okay?"

And with that she was gone, her small stance carrying her quickly out of the room amongst the much taller students. The chupacabra had things she needed to get done, and quickly.

Once her dance with Malodore was over, Riley had stolen away for a few minutes, though it was unclear as to why. She watched for an appropriate moment, before she was suddenly behind Israfel, sliding her hand under his arm.

I hope you don't mind, Lucien - I need to borrow your date for a moment. I promise I will return him in one piece. She pulled Israfel away, finding a quiet corner, and sat the two down. There was a tense moment of silence, where her eyes remained looking on the dance floor falling on several of the couples. She took a deep breath, and put her hand on top of his, patting it.

So? Did I do well?

He was preening. Smiling, and feeling like he'd done something right for once. Lucien was happy, he was happy, no one had thrown anything at him or threatened to rip out his voice box. On top of the world he-
He was now going to talk to Riley?

Tiny little peeps came out as Israfel muttered an apology. He did need to talk to Riley. Even so, leaving behind Lucien was a tad annoying. Why he couldn't say. But his stomach was settling. No more flips. But now Riley time.

Eye lit up and he nooded, pulling her into a hug. "Better then I could have ever imagined! Ah! You and Malodore~" the siren sign, clearly happiest with the end result of that whole fiasco.
