"During your rebellion, key defensive sturctures were assulted by my covert opperatives, weakening the internal defenses to your attempts to bring order to the city." THe drow said calmly, "And I personally killed a few of the more troublesome people." The drow smiled, "All so you could orginize this little kingdom."
"Why?" The drow asked hypothetically, knowing full well he would just blurt out the reason anyway. "Because I wish to make this bastion one that may stand up to the storm."
"Thus, Raven, you."

He cleared his throat. "My name is Gerard, though Diamond called me Wart."
"I suppose I must then thank you for your efforts. But why help us? What are we to the drow?"
He paused. "What storm?"

"Diamond was an excellent paw-fellow." Replied Kimmuriel, "Died nobaly as any human ever dare do so, should all warriors be so lucky." His voice drifted in a very sentimental tone, one which reflected a sincerety that only Warhammer would ever agree to existing.
"You, offer the drow nothing. I am a mere Pirate, and not a very good one at that." The drow out right lied, with a very sincere and professional face that he could probably fool any none-truth spell wielding person. "I merely owed a few favours to King Jiscal and his lovely wife, and decided that assisting Lord Diamond would assist those two, levelling my debts."
"That, and did not wish to allow my fellow drow to gain a foot hold in this area by using Lostagrace, then, as a starting point for an invasion. As much as I might hate humans, I most certainly hate the drow infinately more." Dancing the lines of honesty, with truth nonetheless.
"The storm I forsee, is an invasion from the caves. Not necessarily my people, but those who would gain most from certian doors within the sea's reach."

Onyx looked at the note, and titled his head lightly..then gave a grin. he got himself, gave teh dragon in human form a hug, and handed him the makeshift basket.
"Since they won't let me in, and they kinda have to let you in, I suppose you can get this to the Oracle, yes?"
Then a bit of a jump, and airborne, sweeping wing beats to take him to where he knew his twin was. one of those things about twins. they always seemed to know where the other one was, especially if one was in potential trouble.

"He was a good friend."
"So, we are a target then. We should work on fortifications while we still ahve some time." He rubbed at his brow. they were running out of resources. The only thing they had inplenty was wood, bit that was not overly great for defenses, since fire could easily take it down."
"So why are you here now? To see how my kingdom fairs, is that your only reason?"
Tanundra blinked at ht ehug a bit, and would not have allowed it had he been more prepared. He sighed, and shook his head. After the vah had left, he looked back up at the building. No, they didn't let him inside either.
Moonstone and Kat were busy cleaning out the small place they had been able to secure to set up the medical center.

"Some defenses would be necessary, a palacade would cover the most of you needs, but wood is perticularly frail in this underdark, as most armies carry some siege tools, and those often use rocks to batter down walls..."
"My visit is but a formality, I have been in and out of this city since longe before you were ever born."
The drow smiled, "Don't fret, Raven, or should I call you King?"

"We will find a way. Lostagrace usd to be a resourcfull place, before it fell under."
"Don't call me king until I have rightfully earned that title." He smiled a little crookedly.

"Yes, Raven." The drow bowed in appology, "Now, I would offer one piece of advice for you, should you think that the words of a drow are worth hearing. I think that you should send envoy to King Jiscal, and officially offer terms of an alliance."
"If he comes to you, it will look like he is trying to take advantage of a weak kingdom, if you go to him, they might say you are calling for help, which Your brave People may resent, but if you write terms of an alliance using defense as the soul cause, you may find yourself with more than your wood to defend you."

"Thank you."
"Advice is usually free, so I will take it wihtout complaint."
"Deep Water has not been fairing well. If an alliance is signed, and Deep Water were to all into even harder times, Honoursfeild cannot help. We do not have a military, we are not wealty, and we are struggling to feed whom we can. We have nothing to offer Deep water. Why would King Jiscal accept such an alliance, if we cannot be reliable?"

"Proof that you are not pawns or under the influence of those who would do Deep Water harm." Replied the Drow, "If King Jiscal where to get wind of any hostility towards him from this minor power, for now at least, there would be nothing you could do to defend yourself from his might. You must appear to be his friend, even if it means leaving a very dear hostage with him." The drow bowed his head, "Leave with him your heir, or you beloved, or sibbling, and he will not feel any threat from you so far as you show that you intend for the safety of the hostage."
"As Deep Water floats, we are all aware, on a very thin blade. If he faulters, the ruin will spread to your kingdom. You would not want the faulter to be because of you, nor do you wish for your people to be used as a pawn to attack or weaken him. Deep within Deep Water, there lay a plot to undo the kindness that is the King, and should that plot get hold anywhere within you walls, you will find a not so willing King Jiscal's lancer at your door, wanting retribution or mere destruction."

He folded his arms. "I do not enjoy the thought of leaving my only family in a place where she cannot reach me." He sighed. "But I suppose, it is the king that sohuld give up the m ost to save his kingdom." Usha may yell at him, though she would accept the idea with a little convincing. The penincula had done the same thing with the cheifton's son. Although that had been under Dimitri's rule, where the boy's life had been threatened almost daily to milk the penicula for what little resorces they had.
"You're advice is well taken. And appreciated."

"Well, with all that considered and done, I shall return to the shadows where my kind belongs." The drow bowed. "In your security, I gain much." The drow waited for a response before leaving.

"We will prosper on the day that there are no shadows for us human's to dispare in." He sighed. "We do not live well under the surface." Wise for a kid? Nah, he just listened to hos grandfather's stories alot.
"In that prosperity, we all will gain much."

The drow nodded, and retreated from the room, and dissappeared quickly there after. Moments later, he was shifting through some Scimitars, looking for a perticular pair to bring with him on his next little adventure. He missed Silence, lost to him long ago when a ship was sunk. Silence would have been the right blade for this job.
