When Benjamin and Sophia were done eating, Benjamin took his girlfriend's hand and led her to the assembly. The doors were shut and the principal came up to the podium. "As some of you may know already, a young man took his life early this morning. I am not here to give you the details as to why or how. His name was Jacob Thrise. Some of you may know him, some of you may not. It's a tragic thing when such a young life is ended so soon, and so classes this week will be canceled. Grief counselors will be brought in, and anyone with anything to say is welcome to come in. We will be having a service for him in two days, and then his body will be sent home for a proper burial. Any close friends of his were invited by his parents to attend the burial. For now, you are dismissed."

Sophia listened to the announcement and gasped softly before clinging to Benjamin. Once they were back out, she sniffled a little. "Poor Jacob.... He was in my math class. Really shy, but he was really sweet." she said sadly, sniffling more and pulling out a handkerchief. She was afraid she was going to cry.

Benjamin pulled Sophia into a hug, running his fingers over her hair and holding her tightly. He hadn't know the boy himself, but he thought it was such a shame that the boy had taken his own life. Then there was a scream. A girl, one of the cheerleaders, went running past, her pretty hair streaming behind her. She screamed something about Jacob and a mirror, before her friends started huddling around her. Benjamin frowned, and he thought he saw a shadow. Turning, he was sure he saw someone's reflection in the window, but then it disappeared.

Sophia almost jumped into Benjamin's arms, frightened by the girl screaming. Once the girl was gone, she gently put a hand on the Spaniard's chest. "Let's go get Jethrow and Nightingale. They need to know about this. And I'd feel better knowing they were safe..."
Icarus soon woke up again. She yawned and slipped out of the vampire's arms and went into her bathroom. She turned on the light and stretched before bending down to start washing her face. Once done she turned the water off and grabbed a towel. Icarus wiped her face off before looking into the mirror over her sink.

Benjamin nodded, taking Sophia's hand and leading her in the direction of Icarus' room.
In the mirror, a shadowy figure stood in the door frame. It crossed its arms and tilted its head.

Icarus peeked over the towel and saw the figure and she froze. She was feeling that chill up her spine and the goose bumps on her skin. She glanced over her shoulder quickly, seeing no one in that doorway. She swallowed hard before slowly looking back at the mirror.

The figure was gone when she looked back.
Benjamin knocked on Icarus' door, only for it to be opened by a sleep and annoyed looking vampire who sighed and opened the door for the Spaniard and his girlfriend.

Icarus looked to the door hearing the knock. She glanced back at her mirror one more time before setting the towel down and turning the lights off. When she came back into her room, there was the European couple. And she was suddenly mauled by Sophia.
"Oh Nightingale! You look so oriental!! Like an exotic eastern beauty! And you didn't dye your hair either! It's so pretty!" the French girl squeed, as Icarus flushed with embarrassment as Sophia moved from her clothes to stroking her river of mercury colored hair.

Jethrow and Benjamin shared one of those awkward guy glances before mutually agreeing to look at anything but each other. Jethrow chose to stare at a mirror on the wall that he hadn't noticed the night before. It was round, shaped like an egg, and... Was there a girl? Standing behind Jethrow? She had red hair. He glanced over, but Sarah wasn't there. Frowning, he looked back in time to see what looked like giant wings sprouting from the girl and lifting her up into the wall.... No he was hallucinating.

Sophia and Icarus continued for a few more moments before they went to their respective males. Icarus plopped herself in a chair next to the vampire before noticing he was staring at a mirror she hadn't realized was there. "What're you staring at?"

Jethrow shrugged and looked away from the mirror. "Nothing." Benjamin smiled at Icarus and put an arm around Sophia. "Looks like that vacation did you some good. Where'd you end up going?"

Icarus grasped Jethrow's hand as Benjamin spoke to her. "I went into the mountains to Shiro's village. It was really nice. I should take you there over the next break." she said, running her fingers through her hair. "So what was that announcement about?"

Benjamin nodded at Icarus' statement, then bit his lip and squeezed Sophia lightly. "A boy--Jacob Trise--killed himself last night. They canceled school for the week and there's gonna be a service in a couple days. There were some people who were really torn up about it."

Icarus looked to Benjamin as he spoke, blinking a little. "Trise? I think he was in my science class. Real quiet dude. Didn't get to talk to him. Mainly kept to himself." the punk reported, thinking more. There was something else she remembered, but it wasn't clicking in her head. What was that last detail about Trise? What was it... Now it was going to bug her all day.

Jethrow tilted his head, but he couldn't recall the boy, either. Then he snapped his fingers. "I knew him! I met him... Once... God, I can't remember where. But it wasn't here. I remember recognizing him when I got here." Benjamin shrugged. "I didn't know him. But something weird happened. There was this cheerleader who went screaming down the hall, claiming Jacob had been in a mirror. This was right after the assembly."
