x-cupids arrow-x Sammy paced around on the beach, wondering why she had agreed to this. "Let's get this over with," she spat, readying herself in a defensive position. Dark agrees. He then takes a deep breath and spews a Fire Blast right at Sammy.

Sammy jumped to the left, towards the water, and grimaced as one arm of the blast burned her arm. She sent out a cotton spore, just like she used to: The only advantage she had over Dark was her speed, and she intended to use that.

x-cupids arrow-x Sammy jumped to the left, towards the water, and grimaced as one arm of the blast burned her arm. She sent out a cotton spore, just like she used to: The only advantage she had over Dark was her speed, and she intended to use that. Dark feels himself slowed as the spores cling to him. "Really? Is that all?" He raises a foot and stomps the ground, creating a powerful Earthquake that affects the whole area.

Sammy yelped, falling down on her butt after the Earth Quake. She got up quickly, using her tail to balance her weight. She pointed upwards where a cloud was forming. From it, a Thunder attack came down. She didn't know why it was called Thunder when, in truth, it was lightning.

x-cupids arrow-x Sammy yelped, falling down on her butt after the Earth Quake. She got up quickly, using her tail to balance her weight. She pointed upwards where a cloud was forming. From it, a Thunder attack came down. She didn't know why it was called Thunder when, in truth, it was lightning. Dark is struck with the lightning and lets out a small cry in anticipation. He then stops once he realizes it hurt less then he expected. "Strange..." It seemed he wasn't sure of his own abilities yet. He then turns his attention back to Sammy and spits out a powerful beam of ice. It seems after being slow he's decided to remain immobile.

Sammy yelped again as a beam of ice hit her. She looked down at her hand, seeing that it was completely encased in ice. "Well, that's a problem..." she muttered. She summoned another Thunder, although she hated using that move; it drained her a bit. Instead, she decided to take on a different tactic. She began to sprint towards the trees that ran on the fringe between the woods and the beach.

x-cupids arrow-x Sammy yelped again as a beam of ice hit her. She looked down at her hand, seeing that it was completely encased in ice. "Well, that's a problem..." she muttered. She summoned another Thunder, although she hated using that move; it drained her a bit. Instead, she decided to take on a different tactic. She began to sprint towards the trees that ran on the fringe between the woods and the beach. Dark is struck again and his scaly rock skin absorbs most of the attack. He watches Sammy take off and uses Dragon Dance. It boosts his attack and returns his speed to normal. He then begins chasing after her.

Sammy reached the Fringe, then climbed up into one of the trees. "I guess Flaafys were born to be pokemon of the trees~" she chimed, jumping from branch to branch and sticking her tongue out at Dark.

x-cupids arrow-x Sammy reached the Fringe, then climbed up into one of the trees. "I guess Flaafys were born to be pokemon of the trees~" she chimed, jumping from branch to branch and sticking her tongue out at Dark. He stops at the edge of the forest and looks around. He seems completely pulled from the fight. "These voices..." He mutters, slowly looking around the area. "These emotions... How can I connect to them?"He looks down at his hands before regaining a competitive composure. "Let's see if you can handle this."Wherever Sammy was a large group of wild Pokemon would begin attacking her.

Sammy heard a rustling noise in the tree beside her, from the spot he was currently hiding in. A group of Aipom began looking at her; glaring, actually. "Shhhh, I'm hiding!" she said, bringing a finger to her mouth. But they had different plans. They all jumped on her at the same time, catching her off guard. She fell from the trees, along with the group of Aipom. She landed awkwardly on her wrist. "Dammit!" she yowled, grabbing her wrist and glaring at Dark. "That's dirty," she said before the group began swarming her again. She tried to fight them off without using electricity; she didn't want to hurt them.

Once Dark has caught up to her the Pokemon leave the area. "Thanks friends." Dark says as they leave. "And that's not dirty. It turns out I have the ability to connect with Pokemon and call upon their assistance in battle. I just learned about it myself. So, you ready to admit defeat?" He asks, noticing her wrist injury.

"I'm not admitting defeat," she snarled, holding her wrist. "However, I am taking the calculated decision to end this battle because it seems to be dangerous to my health. And don't taunt me anymore, sir. I've had enough of that from you," she grumbled.

And don't taunt me anymore, sir. I've had enough of that from you," she grumbled. He shrugs. "I was hoping I'd get to open up a bit more. Every since I've returned I've felt a lot... weaker."

She no longer was as hard-headed and she knew when to stop. "If you still wish to test your abilities, I would be happy to spar again just..." She looked at her wrist. "When I'm not as weak," she muttered. She doubted she would get stronger. She examined the sand with a look of doubt in herself, and disappointment.
Arthur, back down in HQ, was arranging all of the food in the refrigerator into alphabetical order.

"It's really annoying 'cause I'm supposed to be able to grow stronger than I used to be... yet it feels like it'd take an eternity to get that strong again by myself." He crosses his arms. He then extends his tail like an arm to help Sammy up.
