Tobias walked in with a look of disgust on his face. Since he had been left alone in the infirmiry, he decided to take a look around the city. He could tell there where vampires here, he felt like his head would bust. He had come prepared, with full hunting garb, with all of his weapons. Just let them try and get me! , he thought.

"They couldn't survive without you, evidently." Alexz said, a wide grin on her face, "Though I did enjoy the peace for a while, but I guess nothing lasts. Oh well! I'm glad you're back."

Was it strange to welcome back a hunter? Perhaps so, however it was a peculiar situation, as was everything. Though not all hunters were as kindly welcomed as Kerrigan. Her eyes snapped to a man who just entered Las Noches giving him an icy glare.

"If you know what's good for you, young sir, you should remove yourself from this place until you're unarmed before we unarm you ourselves." she spoke into his mind, and silently alerted the guards.

Raven hadn't gotten such a hostile reception because she sensed he didn't have bad intentions, he had simply had a tough night. This newcomer, on the other hand, was simply looking for trouble, and he was sure to find it here.

Her gaze returned to Kerrigan and Raven and instantly softened, they had done nothing or thought nothing that called for any glares. She hoped it would stay that way, it wasn't so terrible to have hunter connections let alone friendships. Though she might have to watch out with Raven, based on his willingness to admit he didn't fight fair, she trusted that he wouldn't give her any trouble.

"Why thank you!" Alexz replied with a warm smile in response to Kerrigan's compliment, "Though I wish I looked as good as you! You must have every hunter in New York at your heels." she laughed.

"It's not like the peace is over! So buildings tend to blow up around me...and people get...shot," she said, trailing off as she took another sip of her drink. The thought made her laugh slightly - did she really have that kind of track record in this city? It made her both an excellent huntress and a city menace - she could live with both those titles.

Her eyes turned to the figure Alexz' attention turned to, seeing it was the hunter from the Infirmary. Considering the huntress hardly knew anything about him other than his blood type, she was sure Alexz' impression of him was less than favorable. If her eyes caught his across the club, there would be a warning in them, one hunter to another, telling him not to start anything. If he did, there was little she would be able to do to help him, even if she had Raven with her. Turning her attention back to the vampiric elder, her compliment being repaid in kind, she laughed slightly, tossing her hair over her shoulder with a shake of her head. Thankfully, the flashing lights of the nightclub would make it impossible for either person in her company to see the soft shade of pink that came to her cheeks.

"That's a laugh. I'm way too high maintenance," she said with a fanged grin, motioning for the bartender to bring her another drink as she threw back the remaining amber liquid in her glass. She had to turn those kinds of compliments into a joke - normally, that was the only way she could deal with them. While she knew she had looks, lord knows she used them to her advantage time and time again, she would never understand why anyone saw her as anything other than a vampiric huntress.

Marcus was silent as the two girls chit chat amongst each other, causing him to smile and lean back in his stool so they could gain a better visual of each other. Nodding to the comment about his nickname, the dark haired man simply shrugged as the two continued to talk to each like old war buddies. Perhaps they were, but one thing was for certain, this relationship was very unusual. Then again, his experience in the city has been far from normal.

The hunter chuckled as he relaxed even more upon hearing them toss compliments to one another. "This is definitively not California." Marcus mused as he finished his brandy and let out a satisfying sigh. Though Kerrigan had just showed up, Marcus had been drinking for a while and even though he's tried to take it slow, the effects of the drink were beginning to take its toll on him.

Glancing around, Marcus noticed someone else new walk into the room, a man dressed in full hunter equipment. Though unlike Kerrigan and Marcus with their more subtle outfits, this man looked like he came out for a fight. This caused the slightly intoxicated Marcus frown and shake his head. This could prove ugly if the man were to display any hostilities.

And just when I thought things weren't going to get more complicated... The dark clothed hunter thought as he let out a sigh and motioned for a refill. If things were to get hairy, Marcus was ready, despite his senses being slightly damped. If the man was going to start trouble, Raven was ready to make take his leave. He didn't want to get involved again with another barroom brawl, especially one as one sided as this.

"You know...you lady vampires aren't so bad. Too bad I can't say the same about your opposite sex." Marcus mused as he put a glass to his lip, winking at them both before taking a swallow of his strong drink. "Anywho, I don't think the hunters are doing too badly per say..." Marcus then chimed, his voice whimsical as he said it.

"Well, there are certainly a lot more fights when you're around, though that's more of a good thing than a bad thing, I do quite enjoy the challenge of fights." Alexz said with a grin.

Though she wasn't up to fighting at all times, she did enjoy an action packed fight. Her mind wandered to the last fight she had been in back on the Docks. Shaking her head almost imperceptibly, she pushed that memory out of her mind.

"Ohh nonsense! You're gorgeous! You can admit it, I won't hold it against you." she laughed, finishing off her glass in one quick motion.

She ordered another, it was evident that she had quite the sweet tooth, and attribute carried over from her human life. It was incredible how certain things never really go away after an extremely long time, but hey, she wasn't complaining.

"Ahh, quite the charmer, I see, Raven." Alexz smirked, "Is that the alcohol talking or have our vampire charms gotten a hold of you?"

He was human, after all, therefore would be easily persuaded by their charms, which were very useful during hunting, though Alexz had never used them for that purpose.

Kerrigan chuckled, thinking back to some of her fights with the vampire elders. She knew first hand how fearsome the vampiress could be - it brought a grin to her lips to know that she was so highly regarded in the woman's eyes. Smiling as the bartender brought her another drink, she turned her attention back to Alexz, noticing her order another drink. The elder turned her attention to Raven, who just praised both women in his presence. Whether it was him or the booze talking, she didn't know and frankly didn't care. In terms of his comment about the hunters, she snorted her drink slightly, the burning sensation meant for her throat burning her nose instead. When she got ahold of herself once more, she laughed for real, glancing at him. From all her drinking from before and now this, even she was starting to feel the slight effects.

"Well, things could be infinitely worse, that's for damn sure," she said with a fanged grin, giving him a gentle nudge as she took another sip of her drink. Whether it was the conversation or the drink that was keeping her mind from unwanted thoughts, she could care less, but it was nice to not think about her personal life for the first time in a few days. Why was it she kept getting tugged back into her old mindset? She had not come this far to be thrust back into square one.

The man gave an exaggerated expression of shock on his face as he switch glaces at both ladies between him and laughed. "What? I gotta be drunk or under some kind of spell to give two ladies a compliment?" Marcus then broke into an amused grunt before taking another gulp of his drink. Giving them both a sly smile, Marcus then finally broke into a chuckle as he shook his head upon them both. "No, I'm not under any enchantment nor has the alcohol gotten me...yet."

The man then pondered about a fight between the Huntress and the Vampiress. This caused his smile to become warped into his familiar crooked grin as he shook his head at how intense the conflict would of been. Being human, Marcus had always kept his fighting simple and easy: Gain the advantage through either distance or surprise. If you don't have one or the other, screw it.

"You gals sure are an interesting bunch. Talkin' like war buddies or something. Heh, at least your hunter group has some kind of organization or what not. In Cali, we answer to each others Craiglist and show up to the party. The only rule we follow is that we do it in groups of at least three and if possible, during the day." He grunted at that and looked over to Alexz with a predatory smile. "Told ya I didn't fight fair. Us humans aren't as strong and mighty as werewolves, vampires, demons, or those 'gifted' humans. Just old school know-how and the application of Art of War."

The man took another sip of his drink and sighed as he thought back on his own past experience as a hunter. This caused him to grunt once more in amusement as he took in another sip of his fiery drink.

"Anywho, does this place serve food? I was plannin' to eat somethin' at Hunter's but...er...yeah." The man then asked, his stomach now taking over for the talking.

Tobias came up to the bar where everyone else was.
"Do you serve water?" He asked the bar tender.

"Seems like the alcohol's getting a bit of both of you." Alexz laughed lightly.

Her gaze shifted to Kerrigan as he described them as old war buddies. That was the most accurate description she could think of so she nodded and smiled, her fangs slightly elongated. They certainly had some history together, hell, they all did. The races had joined forces numerous times, creating strange situations like this one.

"That sounds about right." she grinned raising her glass slightly to Kerrigan and drinking some more.

Alexz had certainly seen her fair share of wars, whether herself or through the minds of others, including those who had no surviving veterans. She assumed Kerrigan had seen her fair share as well, and had many more to come now that she had been turned. Being turned was both a blessing and a curse, she sighed.

"So basically, you know you wouldn't win at night so you resort to fighting during the day when you're safe, hmm? Not very impressive, I must say." she teased.

Had he been here earlier during the year, his strategy would not have played out as desired for she would have been able to fight against him int he sun. But that was another story for another time. The pain in her stomach returned again, but she was able to maintain her composure.

Finishing off her glass and sliding it across the bar towards the tender with her mind she laughed, "You humans and your food." she shook her head lightly, "I don't believe they do, but then again, how would I know? Feel free to be on your way, no need to stay here for conversation's sake, unless you're planning on buying me another drink."

Alexz laughed again and turned her attention to the dancefloor momentarily to see that the hunter who had entered before had moved to the bar. Shrugging slightly she turned her attention back to Kerrigan and Raven.

"War buddies...that's one way of looking at it, for sure," she said with a soft chuckle after Alexz raised her glass to the huntress, Kerrigan responding in kind. A fanged grin made it to her lips as she drained another significant portion from her glass. Images of their epic fight on the docks kept flashing through her mind, specifically the part that led to the scar she now sported on her shoulder blade. Giving the woman a small wink as she continued to joke around with Raven, she chuckled softly, letting her hair out of the clip she pulled it back in to fall about her face and shoulders. Messing her fingers through it, she stuck her tongue out playfully at Alexz.

"Oh, now give him a break. Surely you remember how good food is...Ice cream, potato salad, steak," her voice trailed off as she named off her favorite foods, a sort of dreamy quality taking over her piercing green eyes. All this talk of food was making her hungry as well, the huntress laughing as she leaned into Raven, momentarily resting her head on his shoulder.

"Anyways, I thought he was buying us both another drink," she said, batting her eyelashes at him with a bright, fanged smile. Drawing her head from his form, the huntress tossed her hair over her shoulder body swaying in her seat slightly in time to the music. She saw Alexz gazing out to the dance floor, her own eyes traveling to the hunter that came up to the bar, smiling softly at him. There was still a warning in her eyes, though it was clear that she had already had a few drinks. Nothing like killing brain cells to get your mind off things.

"Surely you didn't come to a club for a glass of water," she called over the music to him, still grinning. Shaking one finger at him with a small wink, she straightened out in her stool, back against the counter as she leaned her head back, cracking her neck. Despite everything, she was already feeling better - it had been a long time since this huntress was even remotely this tipsy. She kind of liked it.

The man threw his arms in the air as he then shifted in his seat to pull out his poor excuse of a wallet. The black leathery money holder has seen better days, with pieces of its surface missing and its edge rugged. Opening it, Marcus was somewhat relieved to see he still had some cash on him, mainly three twenties. Glancing at the two vampiress, he narrowed his eyes.

"You women will be the death of me." He said in a solemn tone, but his eyes showed his hint of playfulness. With that, Marcus took out the forty dollars and left them on the counter. Before he even noticed it, there were refilled and his money was gone. There goes four hours of work... The man thought, remembering to keep that thought behind his mental brick wall he had for the psychic vampire.

"Enjoy. As for the whole staking at day...well, yeah. We had to. Heh, unlike you guys, we were under armed, had non-experienced fighters, and well...we had to take the advantage. Sure, it was a cheap way of doing it, but it got the job done." The slightly intoxicated man said as he took his glass and stole a few sips from it. He sighed and shrug his shoulder.

"But yeah...I'm sure you guys got story to tell about yerselves, right? I mean, your both vampires. One's a hunter and the other is well...er...an Elder. Come on, spill your beans."

" I dont drink. I come just for the atmosphere." He said.
His head was pounding, he had to be careful.

Smiling as Raven pulled out his wallet, refilling all their drinks, she drew him into a one-armed hug, her body leaning on him a little more than she normally would before turning her attention to the drink before her. He might say they were going to be the death of him, but she knew he was excited to be sandwiched by two females. Drawing away from him and taking a sip of her drink, she thought for a moment about the history between Alexz and herself. If only he had been there - it was easier to understand their rather strange relationship after seeing the things and situations that brought them together. Setting her drink back on the counter, she shifted in her stool to face him, green eyes gazing off in a moment, showing she was lost in thought.

"Well, there was the time I blew up Mauser's building, had to jump off the roof to keep from getting incinerated and she used those nifty powers of hers to get us in the evac chopper. Oh, the good one is the time she tried to shoot me with my own bullets at the Docks," she said with a grin, thinking back to all the times the pair had come into contact with each other. The fight at the Docks was by far the most "warlike" they had been. Realizing Raven's interested look at her, she cleared her throat before continuing.

"Well, I shot at Rikku, and since deflecting bullets is like breathing to this woman, they came whizzing right back. If it wasn't for my amazingly graceful moves, I wouldn't have gotten off with just a grazed shoulder," she said, raising her glass to the vampire elder once more before taking another drink. Those were the two occasions that she really remembered - mostly because they were the most fun for her. Truth was, save the incident with the black diamond, she had nothing but good relations with this Elder. Some of the other ones were a different story, but Alexz always seemed to be the more compromising and caring of the Coven leaders. She was fortunate to know her and be on her good side - as she had seen on the Docks this elder could make a powerful enemy.

"Was this after or before your...er...transformation?" Marcus interrupted as he listened quietly to Kerrigan's tale of battle with the Elders at the dock. He wore an interested look and a warm smile on his face as he absorbed the daring tale of blowing evil whistle-blower's buildings and Alexz ability of persuasion. The hunter chuckled and nodded his head as he stole glances towards the other vampiress.

"Well, I'm not that surprised that you got off with just a grazed shoulder. Heh, remember, I've seen you move. Not too shabby." Marcus playfully uttered as he put his drink to his lips to finish off it's content. His eyes were beginning to show signs of his drinking and though his voice held its usual playfulness, subtle hints of intoxication were slipping.

"Anyways, I'm a tad disappointed at this joint. If yer gonna start serving to humans, you might as well be prepared for the request for food." The man then mused as he let his gaze fall upon Alexz for a bit as he carried a wolfish grin. "Because I'm starvin' and your alcohol isn't fillin' my stomach..."

With that, Marcus cautiously stepped out off the stool and made an extravagant bow to both women. "So you girls enjoy my forty dollars of drinks for me. I'm out to find somethin' to eat." Still carrying his devious smirk, the man straightened himself up and adjusted his long black coat before taking his step out the door. But before he was fully out of bar, he paused in mid step to turn around and look directly at Kerrigan, his face giving an amused face.

"Er...you know, I'm still new to this place. You wouldn't happen to know of a good joint to eat, would ya?"

"War buddies for sure." she grinned widely, remembering the events she described as if she had just walked off the battlefield.

"I saved your a** at Mauser's place. You should be thanking me!" her grin twisted into a smirk, "Though if I left you on that building then I guess I wouldn't have any competition, 'cept for this one here, but he doesn't seem seem like too much of a threat. You however, are quite delightful to fight with, not to mention look at." she teased Raven, winked at Kerrigan, and laughed a little too much. Oh alcohol.

It took a lot of skill to avoid that many bullets, and that certainly proved Kerrigan to be quite the opponent in her eyes. She certainly wouldn't want to get on her bad side, though she definitely had been that day on the Docks. She was very much grateful for their peculiar friendship for she had found Kerrigan to be quite different from other Hunters. She wasn't so ruthless, though she be and had definitely seen that side of her, and she couldn't exactly recall her killing without reason or any ridiculous things other Hunters seemed to do.

"Ahh, we all have our battle scars, pretty kickass though, if you ask me." she laughed again.

Alexz shrugged the foods Kerrigan listed for her. Not having been of nobility as a human steak was a luxury that her family wasn't able to afford. Her human years had been so long ago that things such as potato salad and ice cream hadn't been of existence, at least not in her home.

"Stew is all I ate really, but I barely remember the taste." she said regretfully.

Kerrigan was still very young, making it much easier for her to remember the tastes of her favorite foods, it was much harder fo Alex. Hell, she could barely remember her mother's face, though that wasn't nearly as hard as trying to remember her father's, she had always taken after her mother.

"And if you wish us to be the death of you, Raven, that can easily be arranged." her fangs elongated suggestively but retracted as she burst into laughter.

Alexz raised her newly bought drink at him, smiling and winking in thanks before downing it in one quick movement. She laughed for no particular reason and pouted slightly as he announced his plans to leave.

"Well that's no fun, though I don't suppose I can blame you, we are a dead crowd." she smirked.

She looked quickly at Kerrigan before speaking into her mind, "Why don't you go show this boy around the town? It seems to me as if he'd like that." she smirked.

"Well it was a pleasure seeing you again, my dear." she said happily, getting up from her seat and giving Kerrigan a quick kiss on the cheek before heading to the door and and giving Raven one as well, "Nice meeting you, Raven."

Out the door she went, down the street, and then back home.
