She jumped a bit and smacked his chest playfully. "Stop, Matt!" She let out a giggle and grabbed his hand so he would stop.

Mari's eyes widened and let out a small moan. She started to kiss back and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Mari just let out a sigh as he started playing with her hair and she just pulled the blankets up. "I just want to stay like this a bit longer. We rarely get alone time."

She started to ask questions as she always did when they layed in bed together. She was just a curious person and liked to talk to Smash. "Matt... I was wondering... What's the full meaning of this pendant?" She brought her hand up to it and ran her finger over it.

well the pendant is meant for me to give to who i want to spend my life with. with it if your in trouble i'll always be there to protect you.
*he smiled as he thought about it some more*
after the years i learned i can do anything when i have someone in my life to protect.

Mari was remembering when he gave her the pendant the first time. It wasn't meant in that way. They weren't even going out when he gave it to her. "So were you lying about the meaning of it when we were friends or did you just not know what it did or fully what it was?"

i always had that pendant and i never really understood what it was for. when i gave it to you i didn't really know why i would but it felt like it was the right thing to do.

Mari looked up at the ceiling and just thought about it. "Huh." was all she could say. It wasn't a questioning one, but just a way of acknowledging what he said.
