"This is not my doing. Hurry little one. I will not wait!"

Urgency in the voice. And why? Because even as Dagoth tackled Corbin, Roan was letting something the 'witch' didn't like loose.
Fractures appeared in the void, blue-white streaks lacing through it as Také was called forth, frothing and spitting at the affront before it, but held back by the hand of his partner.

Roan sought only to break the dream-like world Corbin perceived, no more wishing to spark of a new war between the two Daemons than to collect nukes inside her house.

This would leave Dagoth however to try and prevent Corbin from touching the sword as reality began to peek its way back into Corbin's world, flickers of the armoury proper showing through the whirls of red, black and purple after ever jolt of blue shot across it.

And for both Roan and Dagoth, it was already clear that the hefty casing around the black blade was melted. Truly, Corbin only had to reach out and grab.

As Corbin's tail moved towards the blade once again the pirates eyes caught the movement, a quick flick of his right wrist cause his forearm to ignite and send a direct line of flame between the blade and tail. His left arm would rise towards Corbin and drawing the rest of magika reserve into his whole right arm, Dagoth would swing horizontally towards Corbin and then swing back along the same line. This would send forth two lines of solid flame which would start at chest height but as they closed the distance between the two, would chase for oxygen and more fuel reaching down to the floor and creep up towards the floor. Dagoth would then look to roll towards the case putting himself between Corbin and his target. Coiled ready, waiting for anything that would come his way he felt very tired but the beast inside him simply growled through his throat hungry once again.

A vein popped over the Fledgling's brow at the response from the intruder, and he was even further enraged. Possibly even dangerously close to something that would make him an even bigger risk than he already was oblivious to. He was convinced that he was in the right if anything, bringing the fight to someone that had invaded the manor. His rage was enough then to keep him from reasoning with the scenario, and whatever it was that was attacking him.

All he could see was the carnival abyss surrounding him, though he could still feel the attacks, including the flushing heat, then through a sliver of space created by Take, SAW the flames.

Had Dagoth not used this technique Corbin might have instead seen the ally in question, though now all he saw was undulating sickness, and a wall of fire approaching fast.

Snarling viciously he tensed his upper body and raced forward. With fortitude and Potence already invoked he would crash through the flames, growling with malice as he still felt the burning wave over his body, clothes being ripped from his upper body and the brunt of the force, and burns being taken by his left shoulder, a inertia vacuum coning the flames around the rest of his body.

Celerity. He wasn't as fast as Roan with his stats more tipped in favour of power and resilience, though he was still no slouch. It would matter little however. With his skin already a more uneven, tanned hue with Fortitude, and his legs pulsating with Potence, and now Celerity in his reflexes he would turn what ever, WHO ever stood between him and that sword into a stopper for himself against the wall on which the sword rested.

Shoulder down and body ready to twist and throw his opposite hand at the sword, Corbin was a bullet train on crack.

"Then GIVE it to me and lets be DONE with this!"

Some days you got the bear. Other days, the bear gets you.

It was an effort in itself breaking into the powerful illusory world around Corbin. That was why she hadn't moved. And that was why she could only watch in despondent horror as Dagoth sent jets of fire screaming towards Corbin.

In the middle of the armoury.

Full of ammo, weapons and explosives.

The fire was white-blue, hot as hell and just as deadly. The back wall housed the Daemon weapons in their cases, with large shelf stacks to either side holding the ammo cans for all the small arms down this side of the room.
Even as Corbin dives at Dag, they were cooking off, a mere two or three seconds needed to overheat the contents, causing the containers themselves to ricochet off the shelves and leap about the end of the room like angry hornets.
Big metal angry hornets.

And fire spreads. HEAT spreads. In the time it took to say 's**t', Roan had watched the carnage start, and followed the thought to its logical conclusion. Ducking as a slender clip flew over her head, containing some of the more unorthodox ammo she had for a few specialised guns, its elegantly engraved surface defaced beyond all meaning, she dived forwards, resigning herself to the inevitable ow that was coming, despite her Celerity.

Her first step carried her to grab Corbin by the tail. Her other hand closed around the back of Dagoth's shirt. Potence hurled both of them out the far door with a sound like a thunderclap, and the scent of heavily charred meat.
Her second step was AWAY from safety, and towards the cases on the back wall the two had been so desperately fighting over, to tear open a THIRD one, grabbing and throwing the curved sword inside it onto the burning floor.

Then her third step was towards the exit, fire licking at her heels, dancing dented cans of ammo smacking into her sides and thighs as the heat continued to cook off more and more items. In front of her, a stand of rifles fell tot he ground as something impacted the side of them, causing her to hurdle awkwardly and cut her calf on a bayonet sticking up out of the pile.

Cursing in an arcane language, she barrelled through the door, knocking anyone in her way to the ground and slammed her palm on the closure panel, willing the thick protective plates back into place before anything majorly explosive went boom.....

"URRGKKK"

The noise left Dagoth as he felt his clothes tighten around his neck and momentum start to drag him backwards away from the charging target. His senses was overwhelmed with the smell of burning meat during a long groan from his stomach, whilst he was being thrown he tried to scramble in mid-air to grab and bite his meal. There was a surreal moment for the pirate as he could see the burning Roan surrounded by the fire, the sensation of being weightless only adding more to his confusion. That image burned into his mind, it filled him not with dread but awe it was primordial and powerful image. It was a string to something, something that had bound him and all of them to this house.

Striking the wall outside the armour was far more bone jarring for Dagoth in his current state, the hardened skin of his caused his whole body to slam into wall rather than bounce. The image was still with him drawing Dagoth back from whatever edge he was tipping over, he would begin to retch and struggling to breath from the damage inflicted from earlier tonight. Blood would leak from between his teeth, the Pirate was determined to try and not loose any face here but the damage was mounting up fast. His fingers would struggling to grip into and tear up the floor around him, every now and again his head would droop towards the floor before a long groan of pain would force him to look towards Roan.

What the hell now?!

Turning his head just in time to see the flames again behind him, Corbin was yanked, and flung by his tail from the room unceremoniously. Cracks and fissures forming around his charging shoulder from the heat started to fisure though as he hit the wall much like Dag had sections of the hardened hide shattered.

The cooked skin around his shoulder crumbled, a portion turning to ash rather as it had taken the brunt of the force.

Hitting the floor he immediately rolled away growling, though as the door to the armoury closed, the world of whimsy that clouded his senses started to disperse and he was first able to see Dagoth, unleashing a ground and pound on the hall flooring.

What the hell, was it HIM?!

Trying to decide if it was in fact that pirate that had been attacking him or not, and what he should do if it had been, sound returned to him, and hearing the pops and bangs he turned to look in awe at Roan.

"Wha-what teh ******** is going on?"

He then hissed as one of the rounds in his side arm discharged, thankfully outward from his ribs and he quickly ripped the shoulder holster off, tossing the handgun aside, where it would lay harmlessly, already starting to cool down.

Unaware of the awe the pair were apparently viewing her in (and not condoning it HAD she known. Standing around in the middle of a fire was not wise for anyone, let alone the undead, and SOMEONE was going to have to pay for the broken items, and damned if she had to do it alone...), Roan sighed softly as the door closed, a sound like 'kruuump' rebounding off the inside several times, muted immensely by the thick walls of the armoury doing the exact job they were designed for.

She rested her head against the wall, enjoying the feeling of cool stone against her body, and idly ticking off the burns and damage to her limbs without really feeling the pain. It wasn't that bad. It could have been worse.

Without turning, tucking her tail around her waist, she spoke very calmly and quietly as she addressed the two.

"Are you both ok, and do either of you hear a voice in your head? Corbin, I mean besides the normal."

Dagoth pushed himself back on to his knees as he moved the grey hide covering his body began to dry patches of white pushing through the deep grey shade. Sliding backwards like a new born faun Dagoth rested against the wall behind him, occasionally coughing and sputtering blood into his lap. Turning his neck Dagoth's hide would pull and spread away from his inner body, he looked at Roan mouth slightly agape.

"ok....ok..."

Much the same as Roan, Corbin was taking stock on the damage he'd taken in the brief exchange with Dag, then the jarring smack into the wall.

Wincing as he rose to one knee, a hand over the left side of his face, he took in what Roan was asking and waited for a moment.

...Nothing.

"No... The voice is gone. Who, what was it? First he attacks me in the TR, then tells me that he is in the armoury."

Thankfully, his injuries weren't so severe as they seemed. His skin had been burnt away on a large portion of his body, but that was something that could be healed rather quickly with focus. Right now though, he was too focused on what the hell was going on.

"La Magra will likely figure it out in time. I won't have him re-invoked tonight by naming him. He was indeed in the armoury. And still will be, despite setting the entire place to the bomb."

She turned slowly, small chips of burnt charcoal like skin falling from her cheeks as she did so. She looked at both of them, quirking what HAD been an eyebrow until the fire a few moments ago at Dagoth.

"You, I want to know once and for all what's going on with you. No more excuses, no more hiding behind half stories. I want to know everything so we can sort you out. And you will do an inventory of what is broken beyond repair, what can be salvaged, and what survived from that mess as Jan cleans the room out and passes things to you.

Under no circumstances will ANYONE save myself or Jan enter that room from now on. Is this clear?"

Her voice never changed. Gentle, soft, consistent.

Dagoth groaned with despair struggling to raise his hands to his face, he began clawing at the second skin covering his body. Tearing huge chunks of the dried flesh from his body, underneath the skin was bright pink pulsing with new life. He would look at Roan, his eyes still capturing the awe from seeing her in the fire. He managed to suppress the coughing long enough to finally get some order into his voice.

"My curse, My shame. The price to pay for power, the old gods cursed us when we were throw from this world."

He would pause only to wince in pain, the whole of his body shuddered a moment before suddenly relaxing as the hide began to quickly fall off him in large clumps. His colour would turn to a more olive tone, his hair falling to a more dark red then it had ever been before.

"Usually I can suppress this year on year, but recently.....I've been having attacks at least twice a month. I become feral, angry and hungry. I hear nothing but screams and a hunger."
PostPosted: Thu Aug 02, 2012 1:56 pm

She was right of course. Magra knew who it was that brought Corbin to cause such a mess, though he now stubbornly resorted to silence and not giving the boy any clues, after being ignored earlier. Childish really, though the Fledgling would find out eventually regardless.

"He said I should 'ave known him with access to teh library. Why teh hell he want me to get that sword so bad?"

"You will want the books on ancient oriental legend and daemonology. Ninety percent of it will be misleading. But the book bound in red and black leather will prove the most enlightening.

He is Také's brother. One of them, anyway."

It was all she was willing to say on the matter. Amatsu had nearly caused chaos beyond reason with no prior warning tonight, and she refused to even name him out loud.
Plus, there was Dagoth to worry about. Or more... to do something about. Her quiet speech was the biggest clue that internally, strong emotions were at play.

"Is that all, Dagoth? That's easily fixed. Before I do so however... why do you think its been flaring up? Come here."

She beckoned him to her as she awaited his answer.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 02, 2012 2:15 pm

The moment she said 'Daemonology', it all made sense. Suddenly he felt likea complete mental deficient. The b*****d reminded him of Take, and was intent on him picking up that sword. Because he was sealed inside it, the same as Take in Roan's sword.

He couldn't help it, he simply tapped his knuckles against his forehead and said barely above a whisper.

"Idiot..."

He listened however, with regards to the books and made a mental note to take a good long hard look at them.

He then wanted to ask Roan what it meant when she said one of them. How many were there, and of them, in the armoury. Furthermore, why the hell keep them just sat there on the wall like that, and more over still, why the HELL did that Daemon want him?

Dag's issue however, took priority, and he simply sat with a tired sigh, focusing on his healing, while producing the one cigarette he had that survived, and lit up.

"is that ALL! You don't know what it's like to feel your mind devolve into a beast. Why isn't important, it's NOT IMPORTANT!"

Anger and fear was all was feeling these days, the pirate had noted that no matter what happened or when that was those were the strongest things he felt. He wanted to stand get into Roan's face, tear at her eyes to stop her looking at him, rip her flesh from her bones and slate his hunger. Yet before her, under that gaze he couldn't move just shout at her, he sounded like a petulant child barking at a parent and he prayed his fear didn't shine through.
