This was embarrassing. Not Seiji, not meeting him, it was Junko that was embarrassing. Her hair curled on its own, an effect of her nerves and watching the way he smiled. Oh, good. He liked her compliment. Good. That was good. This was good. Oh, crap. She needed to get her act together. This was ridiculous! She'd met so many boils and never felt like this before! Then again, they didn't blatantly flirt with her and make hints about being with her.
...Did they?
"You're welcome." She giggled, her gaze following his to see what he was looking at. Oh! She'd seen him befo--was that Mei-Xiu?! Her jaw dropped a bit, subconsciously sidestepping in the direction away from them. She didn't leave Seiji, but she wanted to put as much space between herself and Mei as she possibly could. She turned back to Seiji as he asked what she wanted to do, looking rather...worried about the dancing thing. He was late. He'd missed what happened. "We can dance if you like, but I'm not very good at it myself. I was dancing with Malodore earlier and uh...it didn't end well." It didn't end well at all. She still felt a little bad for asking him to dance with her; if she hadn't done that neither of them would've gone crashing down to the floor. But maybe, since Seiji didn't have a tail like Malodore did, it wouldn't be so bad? It'd certainly be a little less awkward.
Suddenly she seemed to remember something. "Oh! I have a gift for you!" Junko chirped, lifting an arm so she could dig around in her sleeve. "I was going to come bring it to you if you didn't make it to the party at all...but here!" She smiled and held out a small red back tied closed with a black ribbon. Inside it was an assortment of chocolates she had made herself, most of them shaped in plain squares but a few of them she'd tried getting creative and poured them into a skull mold that resembled the skulls the students were given by the school.

West nodded. That would be acceptable. In a shocking moment of self-awareness, the wrath demon realized he probably came across like some sort of prudish chastity sentry, especially to the djinn, but to be honest he didn't care. He had tried simpering, heartfelt love on for size before and it fit like a doll-sized turtleneck made of barbed wire. Bah. Never again.
"Good," he replied, his frown turning sharply into a mean little grin at her next question. "No, this's crap. Idun dance, Idun sing, Idun get flowers fer ghouls, annai don't dance! Again!" He sighed. "Nowwai know. N'more auctions, n'more dances. So glad you're havin' fun though."

Mouth hung open, Junko took a step to the side and Seiji was left to wonder why. He followed her line of sight back to Bul and his date, and that didn't really clarify anything. Did she not like Bul? Or maybe it was the girl? He'd have to ask later. The monster boil was quickly becoming Seiji's friend, and he really hopped the futakuchi-onna didn't have any issues with him. It would complicate things, and the ghost boil didn't really like things to be complicated.
For now he'd let it go, focusing on the here and now and the prospect of dancing. True he wasn't very good at it, and by her own admission neither was she, but it was an excellent excuse for closeness, and even if the boil was a ghost, he was still very much male. "We'll take it slow, and I'm sure it'll be fine." He moved his hand from the back of his neck to hold it out to her, but she was pulling a package from her sleeve, saying something about a present. A present?
Well now he felt sort of bad he hadn't thought to get her anything. Taking the box, he untied the ribbon to peak inside, spotting the hand made chocolates. "Those look delicious. You'll share them with me later, right?" He retied the ribbon, not an easy task with a claw, then found himself at a lose for what to do with it. "Do you think you could hold onto them for me for now? I don't want them to melt in my pocket."
Finally he held his hand out for her again, ready to escort her out to the dance floor.

That wicked little grin did not bode well, Yaya was sure of it, and she met that up tilt of tanned lips with one of her own. A challenging sort of look. She was not disappointed either, as he answered her question. Of course he would complain, though she wasn't certain she fully believed him, and that doubt was clear on her face as she looked up at him. Using the fingers she'd placed at the back of his neck to gently guide him, ever so subtly leading them.
"I'm not sure I believe." She paused, lips pursing in soft amusement. "Why are you still here if you're having so terrible a time?" Even as she said her grip on his neck and shoulder tightened, keeping him from bolting off now that the idea had been presented to him.
"Thank you though, for being glad on my behalf." All joking aside, it meant something to her, and he'd hear that in her voice. "Also for dancing. You're really not as bad as you think." She lifted dark brows at him.

Huh. So he really didn't mind dancing with her even after admitting that she couldn't really dance? Okay then! Junko smiled and nodded a bit. "Alright, as long as you're okay with it." She'd try not to step on his feet!
Quite honestly, Junko was okay with Seiji not having a gift for her right now. She didn't give things to people with the mindset of 'oh they need to give me something back!' and besides she was taught by her grandmother the human customs of...what was it called? She couldn't remember right now. He'd just owe her a gift in a month's time! She just hoped he liked the chocolates! Junko watched him quietly, her hands clenched together as she waited. Oh thank goodness! She beamed with pride at the compliment and the question, nodding her head. "Of course! I'd love to!" She took the chocolates as he asked her to hold on to them, nodding again with a little 'mhm!' and tucking them safely away in her sleeve. She then looked up to find his hand held out for her again as he'd done earlier, blushing all over again.
Junko swallowed hard and took the offered hand, smiling shyly as she walked with Seiji out onto the dance floor. Oh! Yaya was here too with...West? She blinked a bit and tilted her head, turning to face Seiji and put reach her arms up to lightly put them around his neck. "Is this okay?" It got her sleeves out of the way! Clearly this had been her mistake with Malodore.

No, West wasn't having any of this. He wasn't going to leave or cause a scene, but he also wasn't going to play this 'I know you like this more than you're letting on' game Yaya seemed so intent on signing him up for. He wasn't really enjoying himself at all, but he was still going to stick around.
"I'm'ere 'cause..." He pulled back a bit, unconsciously chafing against her attempt to hold him still. "I'm here because I said I'd be." It wasn't Tset's fault that he had bid on her, and even though it appeared he had failed at being a good date, he was determined to stay. He looked past Yaya and around the room for the pale ghoul, his lips pressed in a concentrated line. "I like't'follow things through." He shook his head at her comment, rolling his eyes in joking mockery. "Even'ff there's dancin' involved."

"Uhm.." she started quietly while removing her hand from her stomach, "Yes." Yes, she was very hungry! Thank Jack he didn't seem to mind. "I'd love something to eat." She said it relatively calmly, but she was so happy to get to go eat something.
Allowing herself to be led to what was left of the sweet treats, Colette looked at the scarce leftovers and her heart died a little. Most of the cookies and cupcakes were gone, and a few of those that were still there even had bites in them. Who would do such a thing to the cookies and cupcakes? They deserved to be fully eaten. She could have eaten those! Noticing a few untouched cupcakes, she sighed and turned to Calder. "Well, it's not too bad.."
Colette grabbed plate and placed a few cookies on it before picking up a skull shaped treat and giving it a look over. Whispering to Calder, she asked "Do you think skeletal students mind students eating these?" It was supposed to be a joke really, but she supposed of there were cookies in the shape of her face and students were eating them, she would feel uncomfortable too.

A faint smirk stretched along gray lips, showing pointed teeth to perfection as he took her hand and he started leading he out on the dance floor. "I'm not exceptionally skilled, so we'll just have fun with it." They could be offbeat and clumsy together, he didn't care. There were far too many other things to think about beyond looking a little silly while dance. Like how dainty her hand was in his. Delicate little fingers intertwined with his, warm and alive against his cooler skin.
Even as she lifted her arms to curl around his neck he helped guide them, fingertips trailing down the length of her bare wrist and upper arm, savoring the heat of her skin, before her sleeve got in the way and he settled for clasping his own hand behind her waist, palms resting against her lower back. "Mm, that's fine." His voice was soft, and that roguish smile softened considerably as he glanced down at her.
No one was currently singing, so the music had kicked in again. A slower song that was conveniently appropriate for the situation, and Seiji gave one hip a little sway, starting them off on slow, lazy circles. There was no skill behind it, it certainly didn't look at all impressive, but there was a very small chance of botching it up and that was really all he was going for. Stay on tempo, keep their footing, and have fun. That was his priorities for the immediate time being.

Junko gave a nod and grinned. Fun was the whole point, right? Huh, he felt really cold! Was he alri--oh. Right. Ghost. Duh. As he guided her arms she blinked and just stared, blushing a bit. She usually only got this close with Yaya! Junko squeaked and clenched her fists as he touched down the length of her wrists and arms, her blush growing darker. What was he doing? She was only used to Yaya touching her like this, not a boil she'd been flirting with. Were they flirting? She thought they were. Or she tried to. Had he caught on? Oh, Jack. She swallowed hard and gave a sheepish little laugh at her own behavior, threading her own fingers together and swaying with Seiji. Don'tsteponhisfeetdon'tsteponhisfeetdon'tsteponhisfeetdon'tsteponhisfeet! Junko did look down every now and then to make sure she wasn't getting dangerously close to doing the very thing she was chanting in her head not to do, but her head did turn back up to Seiji seconds later every time.
"Soooo...oh!" Her eyes widened and she smiled. "If you're here that means you're done moving in, right? So we can hang out more?" He was her friend now, right? They could hang out and stuff! She looked excited though, which was proving to be a very good distraction from her being pressed up against her date like this. Wow, he had a really nice smile.
Hey, it was one thing to flirt over groanspring, but an entirely different thing to see it in person!

To Calder, the food was fine. True, untouched was better than anything else, but he wasn't choosy. Jumping up to sit on the table, he plucked a bitten cookie that was slightly damp from the tipped over punch bowl, and started to eat it. Considering he was a creature that either ate fresh meat or plants on the ground, something nibbling on a cookie didn't bother him at all. The dampness from the punch actually was a nice flavor, and he ate the soft, mushy part before eating the harder part of the cookie, not even eating around the bite.
Thinking about it, he didn't give any courtesy to not just speak normally. Why whisper? "Not as much as they would when seeing a dog chew on a bone, and I've seen plenty of monsters chew on bones in the cafeteria. As long as you don't look at a undead and bite the cookie's head off, I don't think they'd mind. Better the cookie them their arm anyways." He happily chewed, happy with his dose of sugar as he looked around. "So are you enjoying yourself? Was it what you were expecting?"

Ary Keeyara
"Well, I suppose that's one thing your parents did for you that wasn't so bad," Alessa murmured as they spun and dipped. After she said it, she realized it might not have been appropriate and her mouth open for a a moment, but no correction came out because she couldn't think of one. So instead she diverted, knowing he wouldn't mind, but hoping she hadn't altered his mood. "It's alright. I already tried staying mad at you and look how well that worked." She offered a sheepish smile.
When he took the time to call out a challenge to LW and Gabe, she tugged on his sleeve, managing to whisper as at this point in the dance they had been brought close together. "Don't interrupt them...besides, not everything needs to be a competition between you two." It was hard to tell which of the two she was even referring to, but likely her advice would have been the same.
She likely would have said something else, trying to maybe elaborate so that she didn't come off as too critical, but she hesitated as he swung her into an elaborate dip. She might have continued anyway, but his question and the quick kiss he stole, well, stole her words too and she turned about as scarlet as her hair. It shut her up for a bit, long enough for Ren to lead her off as the dance competition ended. He kissed her cheek then, making it impossible for her to recover from her previous bashfulness.
"You may want to stop," she warned him shyly, though honestly, "Or I'll be tongue tied all evening."
She was relieved when he went over to the game, because it meant she got a little break from being the center of his attention and she could compose herself. As he rolled she commented teasingly, "You know, the girl is supposed to blow on the dice. It's a lady luck thing." But, seeing as his roll turned out well enough to earn him a candy she said, "But maybe you're a lord luck instead." [[ this is like so delayed, but ]]
Ren smirked, reaching out a hand and letting his hand trail down Alessa's hair, playfully twisting an auburn strand around his finger. "My parents have done nothing," he said breezily. "They may have signed me up for lessons, but I was the one who chose to go to them and do what I could with them, so it's really all me."
This was all said in a very lighthearted, teasing tone, and Ren playfully spun Alessa around, grinning down at the nagual as he pulled her back against his chest, arms around her waist.
"Maybe I like seeing you at a loss for words," he whispered and then laughed, nosing her hair before letting her go, stepping back around in front of her again. He knew she didn't like too much physical affection in public (or in private either, really; she blushed easily and got shy and bashful quite a bit), so he settled for reaching down and linking his fingers lightly through hers as he looked out across the dance floor.
"Look," he said, pointing a finger at the table a few yards away. "Are you hungry? Let's go grab some food."
Motioning towards LW and Gabrian, Ren tugged his ghoulfriend playfully towards the food table, his gait easy and cheerful. The Skareoke from earlier had finally started to die down a bit (a good thing, too; Ren's ears were still ringing) and the dance had grown softer somehow, quieter. He turned back to Alessa.
"Are you.." he started, then stopped, tilting his head to look at her, his expression somewhat hesitant. "Are you enjoying yourself so far? With - " he added quickly, cheeks tinging a pale red. "With me, I mean. Are you having a good time with me?"

Lips pursed at the slight tug, and she kept her grip firm until he eased up again. Absorbed as she was in her dancing with Sharra she hadn't failed to notice West and his little date, and all things considered it looked as through they'd been having an alright time. So even if he didn't like things like this, he couldn't deny that things could have been going a hell of a lot worst. But, she kept these thoughts to herself, for now. If he kept trying to pull out of their dance it would be quite difficult to lead him successfully.
"That's an admirable trait," she mused, picking up on the positive and playing off of that. "Following through with things even if you don't really want to." Come to think of it, the wrath demon actually had a fair number of commendably aspects. They were just often lost behind the slurring words and irritating jabs. Oh, and the temper. Mustn't forget that.
One dark hand slide across his shoulder and down his arm, fingers tucking beneath it to lift, and as that arm came up she stepped away, but not to release him. As her fingers meat his she hook one with his and twirled beneath his arm before reclaiming her grip upon his neck, moving them in a slightly more complicated matter. Thus far he'd followed her without a hitch, and she had a feeling he could do even more so long as she kept him occupied so his brain couldn't get in the way of his feet. "I'll bet Tset is having a great time."

Bul was completely unaware of the ghoul's inability to eat. The rules of living dolls were as much of a mystery to him as the things that lurked in the deep oceans that he'd never step foot in. It stood to reason that she would like a drink in his mind, that is, until she brought him down close. His eyes went wide for a moment and he tried not to blush while he stood there with a goofy expression across his face. "Oh I... I didn't uh know.." he said and laughed at himself, very slowly setting the cup down on the table behind him- of course it missed. Luckily the floor was probably already kinda messy from the party as is.
"Uh... thanks," the monster said still smiling. It wasn't like he had never kissed or been kissed by a ghoul before but... it was a long time since Dayscare where he held the record for most stolen "kisses," granted they were hardly such. "Sorry, Mei, I didn't really think about that," Bul began to return to the reality of standing there. There was a little bit of punch splashed on his foot but it wasn't bothersome- the half beast was pretty tolerate of messes anyway. "I guess... does that mean I can't ask you for contribution to my snot ball?" he asked awkwardly, then bit his tongue. Probably not the best question to follow up with but..
Shutting himself up, Bul gulped down some of the punch leaving a stain on his lips. He licked it up and scanned over the dance floor once more. Seiji was dancing with his ghoulfriend Junko- well as far as Bul was concerned she was. His buddy had asked her out on Groanspring before he had got to Amityville. He didn't catch Junko's notable discomfort but felt the urge to get back out on the dance floor with Mei- that is if his question about snot hadn't sent her away disgusted. "Just a bit more punch- seems like the beat is catching back up. If not I can go kick it with a Scareoke jam."

Sepheran smiled happily glad Tess said that she was having a good time as well. "Oh, it was my pleasure Tess really," Sepheran replied feeling her wrap her arms around him in a hug. His pale face flushed a moment but quickly returned to normal. "Thanks!" he added when she congratulated him on his win.
He shifted slightly when Tess suddenly went silent, but he could hear the soft clicks of buttons being pressed on a Skelephone so he didn't worry too much knowing she was probably talking to Lizzy. He was surprised however to hear that she wanted to go sing on the Scareoke machine, course it was a pleasant surprise. "Yeah! I'd love to hear you sing," Sepheran replied with a smile. He always did love music, it was something he didn't have to see to enjoy like everyone else.

Alessa supposed she should have expected that. Since he didn't really get along with his parents, it would make sense that he wouldn't want to owe them anything. Not even in light conversation. So she simply smiled, feeling as if her face was permanently stuck the color of her hair. It wasn't her fault, she argued to herself mentally. If he'd just stop swinging her around and touching her sweetly like that...
"Well, you're certainly getting what you want then," she said a little breathlessly. It was true she was rather shy about showing affection, especially in public, but that didn't mean that she didn't like it. She wished that was a bit easier to convey. So instead she squeezed his fingers in hers when they went over to one of the tables. Things really had quieted down. The karaoke had gotten rather slow, it might have even been over, and she felt as if things were a bit more sparce then they once were. Maybe everyone was starting to feel the time of the evening, feel the need to enjoy their time alone with their scarentines. Not everyone liked to flaunt affection in public.
When he stopped suddenly, she blinked her wide eyes and turned to look at him. She was surprised to see his embarrassment, and perhaps his nervousness too. He was usually so confident, so charming that she wondered how he did it, while she was always blushing and stumbling over her own two feet...Squeezing his hand again she turned to to face him fully with a very sincere smile. "Of course I am." She then rose to the balls of her feet, reached up, and kissed him very gently on the lips.
