Half-flashback/half-rewind. We're resetting the guild's date to August of 2552. Which means that anyone with a character born before 2535 cannot be a Marine. The legal age to enlist in the UNSC is 17.
HOWEVER, we do have some civilians. So it's possible that you could still use your character. Keep in mind though, that 16 is the limit for being a combatant. Anything younger than that and you're a civilian. So go ahead and fill up sum new profiles if your character isn't old enough.
Also, keep in mind that this thread isn't a one-shot deal. It's basically going to fill in the gap between the events on Reach and the guild's current timeline using characters that weren't involved the in the main events of Halo 3, IE those of us who didn't go through the portal or were on Earth while the Chief wasn't. This isn't a half-assed flashback Rp, it's more of a fully-assed rewind RP.

I'm making a wild guess that my new character should be assigned to the UNSC Iron...whatever it is. That's what I put it as on my new character.

Technically, you don't have to be assigned to the Iron Sunrise. Most of the personnel aboard are either transfers (supposed to be temporary), civilians, or Military Personnel who evacuated from Reach.

No. Our story arc will not interfere with the events of the Halo novels or games. We will be participating in combat action that took place in similar time frames, but not actively participating in the same events.
