Mari kissed her daughter's forehead and rocked her in her arms. "We just need to keep teaching her right and wrong... Be there for her if she needs us... And you can help her control it..." Vinsa had returned and walked into the room. He smiled and seen Mari was awake. "Good to see you're okay. The boys are safe in Trina's hands and are going to stay at the castle for the night. She was very happy to see them."

Vinsa went over to his desk and started to write a letter. He was scribbling for a while until Mari spoke up. "What are you doing, Vinsa?" He looked over his shoulder and then back down at the paper. "You said that Devana's right arm was broken? I'm writing a letter to send to all the clinics in Angelicus. She's going to need some sort of medical attention and if they see her, they can turn her in. She won't come here. She's not that stupid." Mari nodded and held her baby, running her fingers through her hair. He then finished and stabbed a daggar through the paper. "With that, I'll be next door in my house if you need anything. You can stay here for the night unless you want to go home. You and Raine are fine enough that I don't have to watch you. Good night." He smiled then left the clinic to go to his home next door.

She looked up at him and let out a sigh. "I want to go home and rest in my own bed."

he nodded then opened a portal to their house. he helped her up and they went though together as the portal closed behind them

They came through the portal and were at their house. She carried Raine upstairs and into their room. "Will you go and get her nightgown for me, Matt?" She then got undressed and changed into her own pajamas. Mari then started to undress her sleeping daughter so she could change her into her night clothes.

he nodded then got her nightgown. he handed it to her so that she can put it on her.

Mari took her sunglasses off of her face and placed them on the dresser. She put her nightgown on her and laid her down in the bed. Mari took her own glasses off and put them on the nightstand. She layed down in the bed and pulled the covers up over them, holding her in her arms.

he got himself changed and then crawled into bed. he put his arms around raine and mari as well. he needed to be with his daughter as well.

Mari ran her fingers through her baby's hair. "Earlier she wanted to follow you into that city... I wouldn't let her and she gave me this look like she hated me... I just wanted her to be safe and I couldn't even save her..." She started crying and held onto her even tighter.

tears formed into his eyes and he held them tightly. "there wasn't anything we could do.. we just have to be a lot more careful.. " he lifted her head so that he could look into her eyes. "raine does not hate you. watching you getting hurt like that was what made her use the game face. she loves you mari. she couldn't bare to see you being hurt like that"

he started crying mostly because it pained his to hear her say these things. "thats not true.. you've always been there for us.. i can't look after them without you..."

She rubbed her eyes and gave a deep sigh. She didn't know what to say so she just ran her fingers though Raine's hair and held her tightly. "I love them so much... I just want the best for them..."
