Icarus didn't stir as Jethrow moved, collapsed, and pulled her close. She was still wrapped up in the blanket so an escape attempt would be hard as it is anyways. But she nestled against him some, nestling into the warmth of her little blanket cocoon. She mumbled something in her sleep before calming again.

Jethrow slept as well, holding the wrapped up bird in his arms as he slept. In his dreams, though, vampires were stalking the castle. It was like a bad horror movie, while he tried to keep Icarus in the castle. But then one got inside, and they chased her out.

Icarus slept contently for a while longer until she started to wake up. She yawned deeply before noticing a pair of arms around her. She glanced over her shoulder and blushed deeply, seeing that it was Jethrow cuddling her. Though it was extremely weird, she decided not to move and let him keep resting.

Jethrow's brow was furrowed as he endured his nightmare, before he woke with a start, glancing down at the awakened Icarus. "Is my head in the shape of a question mark yet?"

Icarus looked to Jethrow when he awoke with such a start. She sat up and smiled at his question. She then put her hands on his head, running them down until they rested on his cheeks. "Nope. Still melon shaped. Like always." she said, releasing his face before laying back down.

As Icarus ran her hands down his face, Jethrow was sincerely glad there was no blood being pumped towards his cheeks. They wouldn't change temperature anywhere but in his head. But what she said disconcerted him. "I look like a melon?" he said, his accent strained with sleepiness.

Icarus glanced back and smiled. "Would you prefer I had called you an egg? With a melon, I'm at least giving you a semblance of brains." she said, smiling coyly.

Jethrow stuck his tongue out, oddly playful in his sleepy state. He ruffled Icarus' hair and yawned. "Good. 'Cause you know, I'm incredibly smart when I'm not in class."

Icarus grumbled and straightened her hair. "Really? Could have fooled me." she said, smirking at him. She undid the blanket a little so it was around her shoulders but she was able to sit up more comfortably.

Jethrow rolled his eyes but didn't retort Icarus. He sat up as well, yawning and scratching his head. "So... Why were you in here again?"

Icarus shrugged a little. "I came to wake you up and drag you to breakfast but I ended up falling asleep. Your bed is really hard."

The vampire shrugged, having not really noticed the texture of his mattress. "I guess I'm used to it. Stereotypical or not, I used to live in a bell tower. It wasn't fun, and I do not advise it, especially if it's a regularly used church," he said, grimacing at the memories of the clanging metal bell that woke him up five am sharp on Sundays.

Icarus chuckled some at his choice of resting places. She simply shook her head some. "I fought a lot. Underground fight clubs pay big if you kick a lot of a**. But I stayed in crappy motels to try and pay for my Vespa."

Jethrow tilted his head. "I am not surprised at all that you were part of a fight club. It explains a lot, actually." He shrugged and glanced around, trying to think of something else to talk about.
