She smiled at the corner of her mouth. "Piper can easily understand my words, Tier'Dal. Is it so difficult for you?"
She lifted a hand. "But before you elave, sicne I will tell you no more here after, close that gate. The frequencies of most planes, including the Andalian plane, are too strong for this one. Everything that comes through that gate clashes with the world here. If it continues, chaos will convert and spread." She crossed her arms again. "Do not ignore my warning."
Aella glanced behind her, lifting an eyebrow. "Someone's gittery. I didn't think malik frightened you." Bit of a smile.
"But..wasn't it your idea?"

Where was Zahara through all this drama? Standing right behind everyone watching and listening to everything. Oh yes, she saw and heard it all. Malik being an a** and arguing. Piper getting upset, the whole nine yards. She just stood there petting at Serino while he was messing with her and every once in a while she would hold in a giggle as he nipped her. Serino made her happy, though her eyebrows shot up when Piper lost it, that was rather interesting, now wasn't it? She said nothing, and just shook her head. This hadn't quite gone as planned, now had it? Well...that's life. She smiled softly to herself, served him right. Of course every once in a while she took a glance around, Oracle, upset Vah, Sevilin, Piper, Tarathiel, Sevilin, Malik, Morelle, Sevilin, Nym...wait...she shook her head. She had to stop this...stupid whatever it was.

Tarathiel sat on the rock on the other side of the wall, listening to the conversation. "You know Warhammer, surprisingly I know the answer to all of those questions."
"Your face is a mess. You really should stop fighting creature's larger than this castle."
"But if I die-"
"My people are good as dead. The Mark is with you, not your people. Your survival is my people's survival."
The drow remained quiet for a few moment while the bull tried to fix the drow's face. It was not an easy task to set bones when your hands were the size of the creature's face, but in another way, it made it all the easier.
"Your helmet took the blunt of the blow, but you still have some damage. What were you wearing?"
"The acid one."
"It was only made from steel, you are lucky to be alive."
"Not lucky, but loved."
"Shush." Warhammer paused, "Why did you let them talk to her?"
"What makes you think that it was her?" That certainly caused the bulvine to step back. "Just kidding." The minotaur simply looked at the drow, who was laughing softly because his new face felt tender. "The ring will do the rest?" Warhammer nodded. "Ok."

The air around Zahara began to chill, her breaths seemed to hasten without her giving it any thought or effort, or the hastening was simply caused by everyone else seemingly slowing down.
Suddenly as the world seemed to sit still, the images about her, Piper, Serino, Sevilin, and the rest faded into darkness.
Before her stood two images. The one on the right, looked very much like a drow but his features were augmented by spider-like agumentations. His purple eyes glowed with a soft lavender light. The left image was a more wholesome image, that seemed to be at ease or blessed. His enlightened form was a muscular minotaur, of drow proportiions.
"You have a choice. You may chose to continue to worship the Spider Queen and embrace the Damnation that follows in the Lady Of Chaos' wake. Or You may find another diety, and embrace the Pact that will bring you salvation." The voice was an echo, as though Malik D'vinn, Sevilin, and Kimmuriel were whispering together, while a very strong feminine voice overlapped them.

Every instinct Zahara posessed was raging. Something was happening adn it wasn't normal and normal reactions were to draw her daggers and crouch down in the ready stance to maim and destroy. Though violet eyes narrowed as seh looked between them and then widened at teh sound of that voice. Well...that was odd. Interesting combination. She considered it for a moment. There were a few gods and goddesses she'd read abotu that she could serve fairly easily. Lothlonglathe' was one, and Eilistraee was another possibilty. Both were patrons of the good Drow which it seemed that she was. She couldn't serve Lloth any longer, not when she didn't agree with anything that the Spider Queen taught. "I choose another, the Queen no longer holds my loyalty."

The spider-like drow male screamed in pain as its body litterally melted away before Zahara. The form became a pile of bile, then the voice spoke. "The Spider Queen is jealous, and will hunt you forever for leaving her." The minotaur-like creature sudenly split into two forms, one white, one black.
A new voice began to speak, very archaic and wise sounding. "You must choose. The Path of Light will bring happiness to the world, but will cause you the most certain peril. The Path of Dark will bring you happiness, but will cause the world most certain peril."

She raised an eyebrow as the b***h became Bile and the bile became...well never mind. Oh great, now she had a pissy Spider haunting her. Was it any different from what she'd had before? Nope. A glance between the two. So it was that kind of choice was it? She shook her head, "No middle Path? I find that hard to believe. There's always a middle ground and between these two choices I think I'll take the third. So tell me what you're not telling me...whoever you are." She suddenly had a thought. "Tarathiel? Are you here?" She was suspicious, this seemed exactly Tarathiel's style.

A third minotaur materialized between the two, grey as a soft smoke. The other two minotaur's shrank beneth his gaze before become whiffs of powder which was drawn up into the third creature.
The archaic voice asked another question fallowed by several more. "What is the most important thing in the world? How do you intend to uphold and protect this?" The rude voice seemed to ignore the questions that Zahara asked.

She thought about it for a moment and watched, smiling to herself. She knew there had to be a third Path, there always was you just had to look hard enough to find it. And now she'd found it, of course if Tarathiel was the one behind it, he wasn't going to admit until he was good and ready. She tapped her foot for a moment while she was thinking and then said, "Just to live. To live for myself and make myself happy as well as those around me through my actions but not lose myself in the process. Happiness is important but understanding me and finding my truth is by far the most important thing. A long journey of self realization is required but once found, can never be lost." Again she paused and nibbled on her lip, "I shall defend my allies and friends against those that wish to cause them pain, be nice to those who would see my death in a heartbeat and live to make myself happy. I offer my daggers and my service to those who require it."

A song began to play within Zahara's mind. The song carried several tunes, each one promised victory in battle, strength of courage, and the triumph of a divinity bent on protecting his beloved.
"This song will replace your former diety's presence within your mind. If ever you need the strength of a diety who wishes success to these goals you present here, in the Trials of Fate, you only need focus within your soul, and feel the righteous might there in."
The grey minotaur began to sing a tune from the vast song encircling the darkness about Zahara. The minotaur suddenly glowed a softer grey, and seemed to contain a great strength, he then called out the archaic words that were within another tune, and conjoured a column of fire before him. With one final demonstation of the song's power, he called forth another, but very faint tune. This tune could barely be heard in the mass of other songs. The body of a fallen minotaur appeared before him, and he pressed one hand to its body, and cried out the final words which caused his soul to be released, but reserected the fallen minotaur.
"These powers and more are yours, but you must meditate each day to find the song. In time, you will hear each verse, and you will know how and when to use it. Never forget your goal, and never forget your strength. Those with strength are charished above all others, but those who will their strength beyond eternity to protect the beloved will be granted great favour."

It was a compelling song and her eyes closed as she allowed the music to flow through and around her, bathing her in it's brilliant simplicity. She felt like dancing and screaming all at the same time, a breathless pleasureable pain that was brought over her body that she could barely fathom. And as soon as the song ended, she longed to hear it's joyous notes fill her soul once again, ached for it. Her eyes reopened when the song changed and became fainter. Oh joy, now she had to meditate every day. "I understand and will do what will please the new deity." IT shouldn't be too bad, right? Lloth was a bitchy goddess in her own way and she still claimed the clerical powers that went along with it. She raised an eyebrow, "So do I get to know who allowed me to make such a choice or do you intend to remain anonymous forever...Tarathiel?"

The darkness became complete for a moment, and the image of Tarathiel appeared. "You called for me?" The Son of Chaos looked very much like Zahara would picture him, as though her mind's eye was altering his image.

She tapped her boot adn then rolled her eyes, waving her arms to encompass teh entire area aroudn them. "Very nicely done there Tarathiel. You bring me to this...place where I have no one I know and nothing to help me choose and give me a choice. First you try and make it all concrete so I bend it a little bit to see how far I can go. Then the next thing I know I have a new Deity to serve and I know you were somehow behind it all. So tell me Tarathiel. Why?"

"Because I hate Lloth and everything she stands for, and you deserve better than the eternal damnation that accompanies her spellcrafting."
"Because I killed Tarathiel for her desires, and that killed me."
"Because maybe I like you and want you to find happiness."
"Because my consious is an active part of my life."
"Because it will increase your power and your ability to help me."
"Because it will lead you to were you want to go, and that might benefit me."
"Because we might become friends."
"Because we might find something in this world that might bring us some measure of joy."
"Because I might love you."
"Because it will draw Lloth's powers away from me."
"Because Lloth's agenda is not a very productive one."
"Because I am enough Lloth for this side of the Galixy."
"Because I simply wanted to help you."
The answers came out earnistly without break, his voice seemed to uncontrollably speak the answers as though he did not have a choice in the mater.

Eyebrows shot up at the list that he began spouting as soon as she asked th question and then raised even higher if that was even possible, when he said a few of those reasons. She wasn't quite sure what to say...he'd told her he liked her, loved her and wanted to her to find happiness as well as use her all at once. Needless to say she was confused. "Well...you had your reasons, didn't you?"
