Ed stood up. "Sorry for disturbing you then." He started to walk back to the other end of the bar. "Principessa maligna" He muttered under his breath in Italian as he walked. He sat next to the drunk vamire again. "Well my dear, it seems you are my type after all." He gave a gesture to the bartender for another beer. He took a swig of the new beer. "So what were we talking about?"

A drink. Yes a drink would definitely settle her nerves down and it'd also help her to cope with the horrible stench she'd just put herself through. She wasn't normally much of a drinker but right now she felt that it couldn't do her a whole lot of harm, that was, until she remembered the twins and became disgusted with herself. How the hell could she almost forget something that important? Whatever she ate and didn't eat they had or didn't have as well!

She sat down on a bar stool and put her palm to her forehead for a few moments until a bartender asked her if she was alright. Meredith nodded silently and decided that she was going to ask for something that wasn't alcohol but something that actually cost money so water was out of the question. "What kind of soft drinks do you have here? Oh my God and if you have tea that would be even better!"

The bartender told her that they did, in fact, have tea and listed the types of tea they carried.

"Chai!" Was her instant response. It was the only kind of tea she desired at the moment besides perhaps her favourite tea from her fabeled Starbucks. "Could you make it a double cream and double sugar as well?"

The bartender nodded, looking at her strangely and then went about fulfilling her order.

Meanwhile Meredith sat around and decided to see if she noticed anyone she recognized within the establishment. She looked over and spotted a blonde head of curls and realized that she'd just spotted Cosette, the snobby French girl that Stan had beat up over yonder. The prissy brat looked like she was in an absolutely sour mood so Eden didn't bother to try and flag her down, not that she would have otherwise. The vain were best left to admire themselves.

Her eyes sought elsewhere but she did not recognize anyone else within the bar, nor was there really anyone that particularly stood out from anyone else. There were vampires galore and a few unsuspecting humans. She seemed to be the only lycan that was attending this bar at the moment but that was to be expected seeing as this was vampire territory. If Meredith was smart she'd probably take the longer walk to Demonic Ties but she wasn't energized enough to put the effort in.

Elyan managed to see a rather familiar face in the distance, and not one he had wanted to see at a time such as this. Had she not noticed him? Or, was she just giving him the befit of the doubt?

"I'm such a goof, sometimes," the girl exclaimed, sucking on the newly-formed cut. "I forgot to introduce myself, the name is Amber. A pleasure to meet you."

"Let me guess," Elyan began, as calmly as a vampire in blood lust could, "you were named because of your eyes, right?" Already, Elyan's personality was beginning to change slightly. He could feel something taking hold over him, like another presence. It wasn't something he found foreign, but rather, something personal. Like, a long-lost friend whom he hadn't met in a while.

"You're rather good," Amber replied, with a rather seductive tone in her voice. Was she playing into his hands? And, was it something he wanted? The fine line which Elyan always walked upon was slowly fading. His fists had already relaxed, with his eyes now a much darker red to those who would be able to see them.

"Don't worry, Elyan," a voice whispered, again. "It's what we need in order to find Ellie, is it not?" Elyan's eyes widened as Ellie's name was heard. Yet, his actions were falling beyond his control. He continued to gaze into the young woman's eyes, returning her seductive look with his own.

"Why don't we head over to your place?" he offered, with a dark smirk crawling upon his normally kind face. "This place has gotten a bit too crowded for my taste."

"Why not?" She replied, rather stunned before regaining control over her emotions. Already, she was under Elyan's control, now. He had cast the bait and she fell right for it. Her gaze made it much easier for him to gain control, her mind becoming completely defenseless and susceptible to his mental hijacking.

"Shall we get going, my lady?" he replied. He stood up, extending a gentleman-like hand for her.

So maybe the Italian wasn't as daft as Cosette had first assumed. Or rather, She was thinking that before he went and muttered something upon his departure like a petty child egging for the last word. Though she wouldn't openly admit it, She didn't know a single ounce of Italian and just that fact that he thought to one up her with his fancy accent irritated the blond to no end. Fine, he could have the final word, but she was still going to win even if she had to revert to deceptive tactics that would probably just make her poor headache all the worse. Piling on the charm; Cosette straightened her posture , flashed one of her brilliant white smiles, and captured the bartender under the gleam of her baby blues with one brief little glance. Although the bartender had earlier seemed perfectly set against granting the glamored blond any attention, they now literally dropped what they were doing and fumbled over to Cosette to take her request.

Cosette's psychic abilities were often a gamble. Half the time she could no more control them than she could manage to be sweet and considerate. The stolen abilities were often too much for the young vampire, overwhelming her senses and often turning out disastrous. It was often the cause of many of her problems and currently the culprit of her mind numbing headache. But this was a simple little task, That's what Cosette assured herself as she reached out and laced her finger's around the bartender's wrist. Without the focus or energy to project her influence, the physical contact instead had instantly struck the connection, driving Cosette's psyche straight home into the Bartender's mind.
“You will take a mug of beer and walk over to the Italian who is chatting up the intoxicated women. Then, You will pour it over his head.” Cosette whispered, her voice airy and poisonous with completion as she peered up at the bartender. She allowed a second for it to sink it, the need to obey without question before Cosette had released the bartender who immediately turned to fill a beer without hesitation.
Cosette was already giggling before the bartender had even reached the Italian vampire, a sinister little grin lighting up her round doll face. Ever the bi-polar, her mood commonly snapped and shifted so swiftly and just as suddenly, Cosette was in a better mood. In fact, She was full out laughing and nearly toppling off the stool as the bartender poured the drink over Ed's head.

Despite all the noise and potential distractions all around her, Meredith's sensitive ears managed to pick up Cosette's hysterical laughter the instant the bar tender had poured the glass of beer all over some Italian guy's head. Meredith had been observing the bar tender, wondering if he was going to bring her drink to her only to see him bringing beer to another. However, when he poured it all over the guy's head she laughed despite herself. It wasn't everyday you got to see a bartender be a complete and utter jerk to one of his customers and this certainly managed to entertain her while she waited for her Chai she'd ordered.

For Cosette to have shifted from such a dour mood to a full out laugh must have either meant that she really disliked the vampire, was particularly amused by the fact some guy had beer dumped on his head or she'd been pulling a few strings in order to get the beer dumped on his head. Meredith wasn't certain but she was going to lean more toward Cosette having something to do with the bartender pouring the glass all over the Italian guy's head. Why else would she be so utterly amused over something that she might normally scoff and turn her head at. A snicker might have been a normal reaction but full blown laughter didn't seem like something she would do in fear of degrading herself or lowering herself to 'other' people's levels.

Just as she finished chuckling at the man who'd gotten beer dumped on his head, the bartender returned to her with her Chai. She laid out her money before she even tasted the drink or inspected it to assure that it was Chai, such was her trust. "Thanks a lot. Nice stunt there, too. Hope that guy doesn't give you too much trouble for dumping beer on his head."

The bartender smiled sheepishly and returned to his duties, making a point of not meeting the Italian man's gaze or Meredith's as he worked away.

Meredith finally took her tea in and swallowed a fair amount, only to burn her tongue the slightest. Upon burning herself she scrunched her face and exhaled rather loudly through her nose as she proceeded to clench the counter with a little too much strength and dented it slightly. When she realized she'd disfigured the counter she looked at it with slight dumbfoundment until she decided that she'd better act as though nothing had happened or else she'd get kicked out of the place for causing mischief. She really hadn't meant to damage anything, it'd just kind of ... happened. It was just the way things were when you were adjusting to a new body capable of so many more things than your old one.

She decided to wait patiently a moment before taking another sip, which caused her to look over toward the Italian guy curiously in hopes of gauging his reaction to having beer dumped over him. It didn't bother her to have to wait a little for his response, she didn't have anything else better to do anyhow. She could potentially be out hunting and saving lives but a break was needed every once in a while, it was only fair. She could only do so much on her own anyhow.

After looking around again for another few moments she decided to try taking another sip of tea and patience did prove to be a virtue when she discovered it was not going to scauld her mouth again. Of course, it probably had something to do with the fact that her tongue was still numb and tingling from the initial surprise of the hot liquid burning it but she decided to stick with the patience part of her idea. She was going to have to learn how to be more patient now for a number of reasons anyhow, after all she was expecting to be a mother and now she was officially the leader of the hunters. Had the circumstances been different, she probably would have been proud of herself but she wasn't, instead she was here drinking tea by herself celebrating absolutely nothing.

Even though she was fuming and highly offended, Felicia hid it well.
"Really? Well she's much prettier than I; Perhaps you should try harder."
She grabbed up the glass of red liquid previously ordered and stuck her index finger inside. Holding it to her lips, she sucked the cranberry juice off and placed the hand back on the bar.
She knew how to take a hint. "But if you've really changed your mind, maybe you and I could have some fun, eh?" Felicia winked playfully.

Ed grined as the beer was poured over his head.He looked at the girl sitting down the bar from him. He knew she had wormed her way inside the bartenders head. "Thanks, Principessa Maglina! Thats the way I like my alchohol! All over!" So she wanted to play hard to get, huh? Well Ed could play that game. He looked into the bartender's eyes, it wasnt his speciality but he knew how to work a human womens heart from the inside, why should this be any different? Once he knew he was safely inside he ordered the bartender to: "Go over there to that pretty little blonde and give her a glass of wine. But slip this into it." He slid a small bottle of aphrodisiac across the bar. Ed laughed in his head. "That'll warm her right up to me." He looked back at the slightly drunk vampire next to him. "No. Ive made my decision. Shes not my type, stuck up and bitchy. You on the other hand, my dear, are my type. The type to indulge in all that life has to offer."

Nightingale pushed her way into the night club, the music vibrated her to the core. Closing her eyes briefly she let the music carry her a distance, she opened her eyes and made her way towards the bar to get herself in the mood. She leaned forward on the countertop and smiled sweetly, "Rum and coke please."

Meredith managed to relax and ease up a little once she realized that the Italian guy, now categorized a vampire, wasn't going to take the bartender being subjected to Cosette's will the wrong way. Nor was he going to take such angers out on the bartender. However, Meredith's eye did catch the bottle he gently slid down the counter to the bartender and she instantly became suspicious of the action and couldn't help but wonder whether or not Cosette had noticed his not so subtle action. Then again, if Cosette hadn't been paying him any heed then she might very well fall for the man's unstuble trick. Apparently this was a game to one of them and the more stubborn of the two was going to prevail.

She was about to take another sip of her tea when a breeze blew past her and she recognized the scent from earlier. Elyan was here and he'd just passed by her as if she didn't exist and when she turned to look she realized why. He was with a woman and that instantly drew Meredith's attention. She wasn't sure if he'd just double crossed her with the whole feeling guilty act but she wasn't about to let him get away with creating a blood bath with some poor, unsuspecting mortal girl. It didn't matter whether he'd felt bad earlier or not, this now was about a life that was potentially at stake and when she tried to get a reading she could feel his aura slightly clouded over. His scent had the slightest hint of ... something to it that just made her realize he was different again.

Once Meredith came out of her thoughts and realized that she would probably want to leave the bar quickly though not too quickly so as not to be noticed while she tailed him, she also realized that she had been clutching the bar stool she'd been sitting upon. The stool had also been imprinted as the counter had been earlier though this time it hadn't been out of surprise but out of determination and anger. She silently rolled her eyes to herself and began her casual rise as if nothing had just triggered her interest. She even took her time doing up her coat and carefully slipping on her single feathered hat and turned to the lycan girl who had just walked in and offered her a smile along with some friendly advice. "This place is littered with vampires, make sure you keep yourself out of harm's way. They're probably itching to have a reason to shred a lycan on their turf to pieces, keep it low key."

After a few moments of puttering around, seeing how the situation with Cosette and the Italian vampire went, Meredith decided to take her subtle leave. She'd taken the time to finish her tea and had taken in all of her surroundings, even bid the bartender who'd served her a good night and then she began to make her way out of the bar. Her footsteps did not betray her for they were calm and purposeful, she had confidence in the way she carried herself but nothing was hasty or sloppy about the way she walked. She was a simple predator following her quarry and she wasn't about to rush into the situation and lose it so foolishly. This was a waiting game and a game she had learned to play over the years so she was pretty damned good at it.

Cosette's laughter sobered to random hiccups by the time Ed lashed back with his not-so witty remark after being dosed with alcohol. How could he like that? One didn't need predatory senses to pick up on that scent, he smelled absolutely foul. A sloppy drunk that couldn't manage to pour his drink between his lips. Any girls he might have hopes in picking up now would either be in desperate addictive need for midnight love or tragically missing their nose.
“Well love, Now you smell like the pig you are.” She replied in a tone dipped with sweet notes, playing all innocent and coy. One couldn't be absolutely sure Cosette had lured the poor fuzzy headed bartender into doing such an absurd thing and while there was reason to doubt, She was going to play it. The Italian didn't know what he was thinking because Cosette would never do anything so rude. Stuck up and bitchy? She was a little princess, perfect and charming. A natural born killer wrapped up in one pretty bow of golden curls. All this she sent out into the atmosphere, a projected, compulsive thought to linger in the air. She couldn't be sure it would latch on to the appropriate minds, but who was she to complain about a few admires. Just like the scent of a delicious perfume, the string of lies were left to float between the crowds.

Cosette accepted the drink, but there was absolutely no way in hell it would be going anywhere near her prefect plump little lips. No only did she have no taste for wine, but she wouldn't submit herself to drinking anything potentially poised or stale that came from the bar of gritty and rowdy nightclub in the middle of this horrible city. The Italian was kidding himself if he honestly thought she was gullible enough to drink anything that came from him. As she stood from her chair, Cosette tossed the glass over her shoulder, no care in the world who or what it might shatter against. It wasn't her mess to clean up. Before Ed thought up any more creative ways to slip aphrodisiacs to her, Cosette turned to leave, shoving through the crowds.

Nightingale nodded at the advice and grabbed her glass and began to drink, she wouldn't stay long, but it was nice for a change to go and listen to music and be around other people. Finishing her drink she began to make her way towards the door, Nightingale had a harder time getting out than in, it seemed more people had arrived while she was getting a drink. She knew she was in a place where she wasn't supposed to be, but it was her night off and she was going to enjoy it. She finally made her way to the door.

Felicia sighed at this little game in which the two were engaged.
"Well I'm glad you said that.. Because my alcohol was about to be in the same place." The invitation was merely to throw this man off guard before his vodka bath, but the little wretch across the bar beat her to the punch. What would be the point?
She calmed herself and sat comfortably on the barstool again as she watched the transaction between the man and the barkeep. Who was she to interfere in such a task? Felicia turned a blind eye and leaned heavily on her elbow. This was entertaining. Too bad all she had were bar nuts.
Before the little princess could leave, however, Felicia took an opportunity (out of both revenge and sheer amusement) to break her dimeanor.
"Watch this," she muttered to her fickle companion.
With intense focus on a shirtless dancer, she twisted the large, sweaty man's legs around each other. This in turn caused him to yelp and fall back onto the prim little victim. "And...connection!" the vampire soberly giggled with delight. That would teach her to steal Felicia's ideas, and expect a red carpet everywhere she went.

Ed laughed at the maglina's misfortune. "Principess, you should watch where you walk. You never know when a pig will fall from the sky." He looked at the man who was now on top of her. "You two look perfect together."

Cosette had rotten luck. Things always seemed to go wrong when she was otherwise occupied or she always managed to say just the wrong thing to the wrong person. This evening, Cosette was too overwrought with her self-inflicted killer of a headache to rely on her snappy reflexes to save her from the pig of a man that topped over above her. Sure, she had realized that intoxicated hussy was weaving some sort of spell, could figure something misfortunate was coming her; but by the time her sluggish mind deciphered all this news, Cosette had only managed to take a step. It could have been worse. The brute of a man could have knocked her over and landed her among the dirty floor. Or worse, he could have been ugly. But it was bad enough that he had caused her to stumble into a table and knock over a few drinks, sending glass shattering and chairs toppling over. She shoved the sweaty giant off her with a nudge of her palm that hit the poor man squarely in the face with one sickening crunch.

Cosette ignored the man's wailing about his poor broken nose and instead took a moment to straighten herself up and dust off her blouse. Those brilliant blue eyes starred back at the pair after she'd managed to correct herself. With her hands resting limp at her sides, She stood utterly still but for the slightest little twitch of her small delicate fingers. She considered the consequences and fought the compulsive need to ignore the facts. Oh, If only she didn't have her headache. If only she could concentrate long enough, she would have taught those two a real lesson. Maybe have fun, shatter some bones. She really did need a bit of excitement lately.
It wasn't until she'd taken an involuntary step towards the pair that she'd manged to catch herself and pause. She shook her curly blond head though she was trying to clear a mental fog. These two pathetic little vampires weren't worth her energy. What purpose would it solve to spill their blood in the middle of this crowded club? She'd merely end up landing herself in more trouble. With a defeated and dramatic sigh, She turned and started once more on her way out of this wretched place.

Felicia sighed cheerfully. It was that kind of person she'd strived her whole life to avoid. With a flutter of her fingers, she waved the spoiled little darling farewell. It was a shame she couldn't have a taste of her life, but Felicia had quenched her thirst, and so tried not to think about feeding again; That was dangerous business.
She picked up on the thoughts whirling about the blonde's aching cranium, and almost welcomed a brawl. It would be no contest. Felicia would load her up in an ambulance with the same man she'd just injured.
Her eyes twinkled beneath the strobe lights when she blinked at the retreating figure. With hope that the petite distraction would just disappear, she turned back to the man next to her.
"Were you wanting to have a conversation, or should I pay my tab and follow in her footsteps?"
Felicia was much calmer now. The buzz has dissipated and her reserved demeanor shined through some.
