Ed looked at the vampire sitting next to him. She had the scent of blood on her. He looked back at the bar. "Who was it? Your last kill I mean."

Felicia took the fresh martini in her palm and swirled it around a little.
"Well sir, you're quite intrusive."
She took a small sip. This wasn't nearly as strong as her drink earlier. Shame.
"If you care to know, she was a bartender at Demonic Ties." The name didn't matter anyhow.
She took another drink and turned her back to the bar, gazing, mystified, into the mozaic of dancers.

Ed took another swig of his beer. "Its not being intrusive. Its called profiling." He popped a beernut into his mouth. "And you my dear seem to be the type who would rather fight than think."

Felicia, not usually a high-strung person, was starting to get a little pissy thanks to the booze in her system. All she wanted to do was indulge, something she's missed since death, and this man seemed bent on ruining that, and clarifying that he knew how to be a pompous creep.
"It's not profiling if you and I are one in the same."
She pulled the olive off its stake with her teeth and chewed in brooding thought.
"And besides, no one asked for your opinion, sir."
Oh yes, she was feeling very brave this evening.

Ed grimaced at "one in the same". "My dear none of us are the same. We are only united in our curse and in our lust for blood." He turned to face her, still sitting on the bar stool. "And I express that which I see. And thats what Ive just done here. Now. Im sorry if I offended you. I was just thinking before you showed up and I guess my mind didnt stop. So what brings you here?"

The door to Las Noches opened with a slight creak. Immediately, the aura of multiple beings hit him at once.

"It figures, there are bound to be many creatures in a place such as this," he thought to himself. Elyan had taken the liberty of suppressing his vampiric aura as much as possible, to the point that only a highly-skilled and powerful vampire would be able to see through his disguise. He also altered the look of his eyes, transforming them to their natural color. Of course, Elyan didn't physically change them. Instead, it was but a rather simple mind trick.

He made his way closer to the main bar. Already, a few individuals had already claimed their spots on the few bar stools. He was fine with that, he merely wanted an order.

"Excuse me," Elyan said, speaking in a well-mannered tone, "I know this is an odd request, but would you by chance have any coffee?" The bartender's eyebrow perked for a second, before turning and heading towards the back. He returned with a small cup of coffee, saying it was on the house for the simple fact that hardly anyone ever ordered the stuff.

"I appreciate the generosity," he replied, turning and sitting down in a rather secluded part of the bar.

"Now, where to go from..." He began to think, only to be interrupted by a woman's voice. He uncovered his left eye to see a rather young and cute woman standing before him. She wore rather plain clothes; a graphic tee-shirt and slightly baggy jeans. Her face sported glasses, while her long, brown hair swayed back and forth. In her hands, she held a book and some notebooks.

"Do you mind if I sit here with you?" She asked in a rather sweet voice. Elyan was rather stunned for a moment before quickly regaining his composer.

"Not at all, please, go right ahead," he swiftly replied, gesturing with his right arm to sit in front of him.

Felicia no more looked at the man with interest than she did a single person on the dance floor. He'd started this out far too wrong.
"Well I'm not what you see. The alcohol is what you see."
She firmly set the martini glass on the counter, inspiring a lound ringing noise.
"I came to interact. I'm so quiet and I've been locked up for so long..." Her eyes turned to him, a materializing gleam within. "But no more. I'm changed tonight, and perhaps that is why you do not like what you see."
Felicia sighed and ruffled her hair, eyeing a suspicious vampire who'd just entered. "Why are you here?"

Ed watched the vampire who just entered. "Im here because I like to indulge in lifes most pleasurable things my dear. And those things are women, booze, and blood. But it appears not many of the people in here are still living."

The young woman took her seat, the chair screeching slightly on the floor it stood upon. Elan had put himself into a potentially hazardous situation. Earlier, when he had encountered that particular huntress, he managed to spill blood onto his white, long-sleeved shirt. Even though he had managed to cover the blood stains up with his red over-coat, curious eyes fell upon him.

"Even if I disguise myself as a mortal, it merely means they'll think I'm a hunter of sorts," he thought, cursing himself for not thinking. But, his attention was quickly brought back to Earth as the woman had finished settling herself down in her seat. Upon closer inspection, she was a rather petite woman; her face was more cute than beautiful, but something about her was attractive.

"You know, you're the first person I've seen order a cup of coffee at a bar," she commented, now resting her arms on their rather small table. "But, if you let it sit there for too long, it's bound to get cold." It was easy to tell she was flirting.

"The smell of coffee has always been something I found relaxing," he said, staring down at the steaming liquid. "Unfortunately, I get sick if I drink it." The smile he placed on his face was almost an embarrassed one. The truth is, he couldn't eat or drink anything but blood, else he coughed it up. So, at least he wasn't lying to the woman. Her emotions radiated off of her like a bright light. She was happy and infatuated. Her mind focused on Elyan's almost perfect looks, but also his rather innocent personality.

"So, what brings you here, this evening?" Elyan asked, trying to get his mind to stop reading hers. They continued to converse for some time, with minutes going by like seconds.

"Blood...", the word rang inside of his head in a soft whisper. His attention turned to the woman, who had cut her finger on one of the pages of her book. Elyan's hands balled into tight fists.

"I thought I had more time... it hasn't even been an hour and already... it's back." He cursed under his breath. He would need to get out of there, and soon.

"Yes, I did speak to my security. Yes, everything is in place, and the blackmail is safely on its way when I say the word. The advertisements and the media have already been unleashed on the story that all the vampire projections to the public have been a farce. It should be quite believable. Yes, I'm aware of that, but you have to understand, the media have always been on our side, and people want to believe they're safe. Tell them there is nothing to fear in the dark enough times, and they will begin to believe you.

Yes, the other races won't be happy about it, seeing as we've had to drop off the radar with killing and cloned blood, but there have been enough innocent people killed in the crossfire that the public will believe they were in riots for nothing. Yes, I understand."

She stood in her office pacing on the phone. She had fed well on human flesh, not having a real meal in quite some time.

"Well then, I'll see to it that its on your head if it fails. Quit making excuses Xander, it will work." She shut the phone and lit a cigarette.

What a funny world we live in...Her thoughts drifted and she laughed alone in her private room that overlooked the main dancefloor and bars. There was a one sided looking glass, and those below could not see her but she could see them. She took a long drag.

Felicia sensed the vampire's thoughts and grinned. Maybe he'd lose the facade now.
She then turned her eyes upward in a random direction, unable to disguise the feeling of being watched. This all seemed like a game..
When she shook the feeling, she chuckled slightly. "It seems you and I have more in common than you know."
She ordered a cranberry and vodka, and examined her nails nonchalantly.
"But I'm sorry you're disappointed with the crowd. I'd be happy to keep you company - Unfortunately, it seems as though I lack a heartbeat myself."

Ed let out a rarely seen smile. "As do I but i still find a way to live."

This was honestly that last place the petite blond would normally have been found. The music was too loud, the lights were to colorful, and the crowds were an awful bunch of rowdy and hungry creatures. She didn't like it one bit, but it was just the distraction she needed. The throbbing headache demanded her attention and snatched her senses. The pain was a greedy fixture in her mind, leaving no room for lonely musings or dreary thoughts. Cosette stumbled her way trough the crowd, little white hands smothered beneath the fluff of her gold curls and pressed securely over her ears. Somehow, She made it to the bar counted and rather clumsily climbed onto one of the stools. She propped her elbows on the counter and cradled her head, baby blue eyes starring ahead at nothing in particular. Cosette might have been dressed in movie star glamor and brilliant jewels, But she looked awful otherwise. Her smooth skin lacked proper coloring and her gold curls were a mass of tangles. There were even slight little twitches of her slender fingers as the music pounded away, each beat throbbing at her skull. The bartender ignored her, quickly skimmed past her to refill a drink a few stools down. It was for the better, Cosette wasn't positive she could have responded in a civil manor. Who would really want to speak to a crumbling princess anyways?

Ed looked at the other women sitting down the bar from him. He thought to himself, "Tonight must be my lucky night.". He stood up and looked at the drunk vampire next to him. "Excuse my but uh, im going down there. No offence but you dont seem my type." He walked down the bar and sat on the stool next to the pretty blonde women. "Is this seat taken." He asked, though the answer was obvious.

Oh, correct that then. Apparently someone wanted to chat up the miserable little princess, even if it was simply some arrogant Italian out for a lively night of blood and fun. He thought he'd struck gold, a lucky streak considering just how many pretty girls were out clubbing this evening. Cosette at least managed to filter out that much when the Italian's thoughts stampeded through her mind, streaking through the jumbled mesh of sounds and thoughts that thundered against her skull. Did the antsy vampire really think she was simply another one of those girls? Nice bodies and rich blood. Oh please, Cosette was so much more. She might not look her most splendid tonight, but twitching or not; the Italian would never be her choice of company.
“Yes, The seat is taken.” She muttered in a half hearted reply. An obvious lie that she took no pause to conceal. He ought to be glad she took a few precious moments to answer him at all, considering just how much was on her fragile mind. Cosette hoped that answering him might help him get the clue to leave. There were plenty of other girls in her that would just love to be pestered.
