Kraun I cant decide whether I want to get a battle axe or a flanged mace. I'm wondering what for, but at the same time I'm not sure I want to. That said, I'd go with the axe for the reasons posted already. That and people just don't want to realize the bone crushing power of a mace sometimes. Just can't argue with an axe like that.
