Goodness, you know you're a band dork when you star whistling songs you played years ago.
*is whistling Haven Dance* it's a good song though.

Hello Shadow, hello Kyrre. Actually Haven Dance is a tune written for band. It's grade 5 I think, and it's really fun to play. The melodies rock and the french horns actually play the melody for one! *is a french horn player* we should play it again this year!

Well, arent you lucky. This year marks my third on the drumline. It's all good though, because we tend to have a lot more fun than the rest of the band. We also play twice as much as any other section, especially considering our percussion instructors.

Ugh, those drums get heavy! I've carried a few back to the band room from the practice field on more than one occasion and they HURT! I don't know how the drumline does it! But thena gain, playing melaphone is no walk in the park, even if it isn't as bad as drumline.

What can I say, it builds the back. You're right though, it's tough when your not used to carrying them around. I think the only instrument that has it harder in that respect are the tubas, since they have to use susaphones to march, rather than a regular concert tuba.

Eh, bari sax is no walk in the park either, or bass clarinet either. Or any other big woodwinds. And I'd rather use a sousaphone than a regualr tuba...and marching baratones are big too...

Yes, I'm sure. And even most of those are considered lightweight next to our quads. Especially the new ones. Those suckers are heavy.

That's the one I usually carried, though I would take a base drum on ocassion. Dude, those things are SUPER HEAVY if you're not used to them. NO wonder the drummers would put their drums down when we weren't marching.
