OOC: Thank goodness for Wikipedia, then.
Shaken, Marcus pried himself away. Marky-poo. "Wonderful. I'll just be a moment." And with that, he darted away, and instructed his driver to form a small gathering. "Somewhere--anywhere. Far away. Take that horse." The driver, perplexed, rode off, and Marcus reappeared. "My driver's gone," he said with a shrug. "Very irresponsible of him. Why don't you get into the coach, and I'll drive?"

((indeed!))
Evelyn clapped her hands together and squealed with delight. No really, she squealed. Like a pig. "Oh Marky-poo that's so romantic!" She climbed into the coach and sat in the seat, picking at her dress and pulling long threads out of it, which for some reason she started chewing on.
Terryn, meanwhile, wanted very much to be ill. She stared daggers at her father the entire ride to the DuBois residence, striking the fear of God into him. When she jumped out of the coach, not even allowing the earl to say goodbye, she told the driver to go quickly to avoid her father getting out and saying anything. She made sure not to appear the least bit enthusiastic as she approached the etrance and told the doorman of her arrival.

Marcus got onto his horse, and decided to wait until his driver returned. Evelyn probably wouldn't notice that the coach wasn't moving, anyhow.
Andrew, upon seeing Terryn arrived, bounced down the stairs ecstatically. The stairs shook. "Terryn!" he shouted, his voice both nasal and heavy. He very nearly took the life of his doorman as he flung him aside and clasped Terryn's hands. "How good of you to join me!"

Evelyn eventually just layed down on the cushioned seats and curled up into a ball, closing her eyes and falling into a deep, snore filled sleep. Being annoying is exhausting work.
Terryn shuddered, whimpering quietly like a puppy being kicked as Andrew seized her hands. She looked pointedly away from him, for fear that his greasy, dirty face would blind her. It was bad enough that he was getting his sweaty palms all over her. "In-indeed..."

Andrew beamed, putting his yellowed teeth on display. "Would you like to eat something?" he asked. The truth of the matter was that he himself was getting rather hungry. Without waiting for an answer, he flung a heavy, reddish arm around Terryn's shoulders and began walking the two of them into the kitchen.

Terryn nearly gagged as Andrew threw his arm around her. Had he never heard of bathing? Or cologne? Or water?! She coughed a few times, trying to cover it discretely. Honestly, she wouldn't touch any food that the awful family had bought or prepared, and the smell of the manor didn't help any. "Actually...why...why do we not eat outside? Out...out by the garden?" At least there were flowers there to cover up the smell of Andrew DuBois.

Andrew paused. Would that make it seem more romantic? "Splendid idea," agreed Andrew. "I'll have the cook bring food outside. Tell me, Terryn, what have you been up to?" He'd spent five minutes with her and she had yet to threaten kicking him in the groin. Splendid, splendid.

Terryn sighed as she nearly made a dash to get outside into the fresh air. "I have been...busy." She took a seat on one of the rickety wooden chairs outside and looked at the flower bushes, which, despite being wilted, looked better than the face across the table.

"Really? Doing what?" asked Andrew interestedly, smacking his palm on the table for his servant to come, apparantly oblivious to the horrible sweaty grey marks being left on the tabletop. "Tell all, dearest Terryn. We have all the time in the world."

Terryn cleared her throat and moved as far down into her seat as possible. "Well, Marcus and I have been having a wonderful time together. We went to the gardens a few weeks ago and we spent a night over in his favorite hideout and-oh, you know about Marcus do you not? I assume my father must have told you all about him."

Andrew's mouth went dry. He'd heard rumors, of course--hushed whispers from the maids and what not. But the maids always whispered things, and he knew that Terryn would never consort with the likes of Marcus. He dismissed these rumors as something devised by the maids when they had nothing better to do. "It's...it's true, then?" he asked, leaning forward and providing Terryn no escape from his rank breath.

Terryn coughed a little, patting at her chest as though it was something pulminary and not breath induced. "Yes, yes it is. Marcus and I are very happy about it as a matter of fact." She sighed. "I feel so terrible right now, you must not want to be in my company now that you know." She looked at him, almost hopefully.

Andrew could scarcely believe it. His sister, too, had fallen in love with Marcus, in addition to what seemed like every girl that he attempted to forge a relationship with. He'd never met Marcus, but hated him. Hated him. "Do...do you know him well enough to like him? He's been with nearly every girl in the kingdom, you know. And then many more. I heard he's got children. And a harem in the land of the heretics."

Terryn nodded. "Yes, I know. Trust me, the harem barely surprises me. But..." She sighed, looking past him with a distant glance. "There is something about him...something different that I just can not help but be attracted to. And you know me, I hate all men...no-no offense intended of course."

Andrew sighed. She was with child. With Marcus's child. How pitiful. He shifted. "Now...I'm not sure if you know this or not, but Marcus has vowed to never marry." His sister had nearly cried herself to death with this piece of information.
