Good. That takes care of that problem. Now for the next one.
Nova knocked on the door without saying anything. If he did identify himself to her she might send him away because she refused him at first. Perhaps the element of surprise would change that. He grabbed the bottle and held the glasses in his other hand.

Shara heard the knock at the door. Hmmm... wonder what that pup, Alex wants now.... She opens the door, and found herself pleasantly surprised. It was Nova with wine and a pair of glasses. She already liked where this was going. Why not? She already reported to her master what happen so far. She wondered where Alex went but didn't think much of it. "Hi there, won't you come in?" she invited him in.Rikki Tikki Travi Alec looked up at Nova, without saying a word, then nodded. He stood up and shuffled into Kerana's room. He saw her sleeping soundly, yet she had a troubled expression. He kneeled down at the side of her bed, trying to remember everything that had happened in the last few hours.
Even though he can't remember, he has a sinking feeling that he said something awful. Unaware of the conversation in the other room that had just taken place, he kept vigil over her. Kerana sniffed the air, she could smell him it was Alec. Shara must have given him her order to kill her. She turned away from him preparing a light spell to blind him and make her escape. "Just do it, I'll be out of your way from protecting her... might as well get it over with." The tip of her tail was flicking something she did when she was mad.

Alec knew that particular tick of Kerana's. It had been a while since he had been the cause of it. Yet he still didn't know what he did to make her say that.
"I did do something to you then. I don't think I want to remember now. What did I do to make you hate me? Please don't hate me. I'm sorry."
His words came out disjointed and confused, almost like he is talking in his sleep. The powder was still in his system trying to work it's chemical magic. At the same time his love for Kerana was fighting it.

Nova gave her graceful bow. As graceful as his occupied hands allowed him.
"Yes I would like that. Thank you for having me, my Lady." He gave the room a quick glance. No one else was there. Magical means of communicating then.
"For a moment I feared that you were already occupied as I heard you talking. But it seems my mind was playing tricks on me." Nova said as he entered the room.
He put down the glassed and opened the bottle. Pouring a glass for Shara he looked at her." I was under the impression that you might enjoy a good conversation without the children around."

"Well you may have heard one of my clients, you see a girl still needs to make a living and can't always depend on the kindness of gentlemen such as yourself. Speaking of which, I don't believe I ever caught your name. With whom do I have the pleasure of sharing a drink with?" she said using her charming qualities.

He sounded confused about what just happened. The light spell she prepared faded. She sat up turned and hugged him "Alec! It wasn't you.... it was that powder that woman placed on us earlier... Ofcourse I forgive you." she hugged him tight

The haze from Alec's eyes finally cleared. Kerana's embrace warmed him to the very core. Everything became clear and he remembered all that had happened. His eyes welled with tears as he returned the tight hug.
"By the Gods. Kerana I am so sorry. I didn't mean what I said. Are you alright? Did she do anything to you?" He pushed her in front of him and grasped her shoulders gently as he looked into her eyes.

"My apologies my dear Lady Shara. I believed I had introduced myself already but your beauty seems to play with my memories." He had finished pouring the glasses.
"You have the pleasure of a sharing a drink with Nova Blancke." Nova walked up to her and handed her the glass of wine. " A toast. To you my dear Lady."

Shara smiled after hearing Nova speak to her. Looks like the powder hasn't worn off on him yet. "and a toast to you Norman for this pleasant idea." The glasses chimed to their toast. She crossed her legs, "So, what's on your mind?"

Shara needed to keep her cool. She pulled out a fan from her cleavage and started to fan herself. "I get that a lot. So tell me about yourself Norman. Where are you from? What are you doing with the two k-9 kids?"

Despite Nova's act her little act of drawing out the fan caught his eye. Or rather the place where she pulled it out from caught his eye. It certainly was a nice view. His wife.....he hoped she would never ever find out.

" To be perfectly honest my Lady, I do not know" It was the truth, although partial." I remember being private schooled by the upper society in everything a Noble needs to know. Magic seemed to be what I excelled in so they invested in that. After all what House does not desire a strong heir?" Nova explained and took a sip from his wine.
" As for those children...well...I bumped into them. They are still students and I took them under my wing. I've only known them for a couple of days but they both show promise "

He thought of asking Kerana about it. He decided against it considering the more dire situation at hand.

Kerana noticed the way Alec was touching his neck. She didn't think the day would come that she would have to tell Alec about it, about the Guardian Seal. "It's the Guardian Seal isn't it?" she asked softly. Nova Blancke " But enough about me. Surely my history means nothing to a woman such as yourself. I would like to know more about you. If you would indulge me."
"As would most men..." she played with a necklace that had the necromancer's symbol on it. One would have to do enough research to know that it had a connection to the one the group sought after. That is unless if someone had seen it before.
She looked distant as she spoke about her path. "Just a small town girl, my parents were tailors and were well renowned for their craft. I admit I was a bit spoiled by the types of garmets I wore were the same ones worn by the nobility." She took a sip of her wine, "All was well until... Trinity. She came into town burned it to the ground and killed everyone in sight."
The woman was thoroughly convinced that this was what happened. So much so, you may think she saw Trinity in the act of doing it.

Alec half laughed at the name. "Such an endearing name for something that equivocates to a choke chain. I guess I should be greatful. It brought me out of the trance that powder put me under. Why didn't anyone tell me? Why didn't you tell me?"

"That would be my fault.... I was supposed to tell you when you were 10. But knowing you that long I knew you weren't going to turn on me. So I didn't think you'd run into that seal and so I didn't tell." She pulled out a book about their kin. "Here it is, the Gaurdian Seal." There was a picture illustrating what it looked like. She started reading from it. The Book of Kin In order for the wolf-kin to maintain their promise to protect the fox-kin, a precautionary measure had been taken. The fox-kin instilled the Guardian Seal in the wolves at birth. This Seal only revealed itself when the Guardian refuses his or her duty to protect their assigned fox-kin. The Guardian Seal when revealed chocks the wolf until they realize what they did wrong or... kill the wolf... if they don't... "I'm sorry Alec, I didn't realize that this thing could kill you..." her ears slopped down. She could have lost him for simply not telling him of the seal.
