The frozen eyes wandered to Meredith. The same look was in them as was the same constant smile. It would have been terrifying for someone of paranoia to see that same thing, but even looking in his eyes to a normal person would give them chills. "Reunions are so wonderful." he said with his own musical voice. "The flood of emotions experienced when you see someone you haven't for such a long time. It just washes away all ill will, no matter the species experiencing it... Though there are reunions that should never take place as well. Those are the ones that tend to be the most fun."

Meredith almost began crying when James hugged her, God knew she needed another hunter to help her out and make things a little clearer. Of course, Kerrigan and Lydia had both made brief entrances and exits into her life, at times she'd needed them for sanity but for the most part she'd been running the hunters alone. No wonder William hadn't had time for anything and now as most senior hunter she'd been temporarily elected to be thrown onto the chopping block and take care of things as if her last name meant she had to be good at it. She definitely wasn't a William and right now she wished her brothers were here more than ever but she was holding strong even with Veroen once again disappearing from her midst without warning. However, despite all this she held herself together. She wasn't going to be weak in front of opposition though lately she'd been focusing the hunters more so on keeping the public from getting themselves killed as opposed to actually hunting. Masked protectors if one would go as far as to say that, secret monitoring systems with hunters posing as members of a silly faction desperate humans had created.
She wanted to tell James what had become of Tokeru, she knew that he was as close a friend to Tokeru as Tokeru would have allowed but now was not the place and it was clear that James was getting some sort of information. Naturally the club had been loud enough that she hadn't heard his questions so she wasn't exactly certain why James was here dealing with Rogue but she decided to ask questions later and let James get back to whatever it was he'd come here for. Indefinitely, though, she would remain at his side since she had his back and wasn't going to let anything happen to him after she'd just been reunited with him. After all, she'd let such things happen to Kerrigan and Lydia and they'd up and disappeared. While she knew that she couldn't stalk James to the end of the earth without him getting pissed off at her and probably shooting her in the face she had every intention of keeping a closer eye on him than a mother her newborn child. This was definitely a time of need and she was going to take all the help and familiar faces she could get.
"I missed you too but we'll talk later since you seem to have some business here."
That was about when the odd man that seemed entirely white began speaking about him. When she took a second take of him she realized that he seemed very ... ghost-like, ethereal, not of this world. She couldn't figure out if she was getting these vibes because he was so pale and looked like a beautifully tended walking corpse or if there was something more than met the eye. She was almost certain that it was the latter option since things were indefinitely more or less than they appeared but something in her gut told her that this guy was dangerous. It wasn't just the smile, something about his tone of voice, or lack of tone for that matter and the way he spoke of things so speculatively. Meredith was fairly certain this lycan-leader look alike would only prove to be trouble but for now she kept her thoughts to herself. After all, she was within the vicinity of mind-reading vampires that would exploit any weakness they could and her and Rogue weren't exactly on good terms with one another, not that they ever really had been. Now, she decided was a time for caution thus she decided to block out the thoughts as to what potentially made her vulnerable and purposely had her mind immerse itself within this situation at hand.

"Battle at the docks. Funny, I've been in a few scuffs there myself, so I don't quite know what you're referring to..." She in reality did not know if she wanted to give anything away about any fight she got into at the docks. A woman came up to the group. Edith. Excellent. Rogue's eyes moved to her, searching for any trouble in her face that she wished to cause. One could never be too careful. Rogue's eyes were glowing as she searched Edith's aura for hostility. Though there was annoyance, there was not quite enough anger or rage that would make it seem Edith would lash out...yet.
"Edith, what an unexpected surprise." Her gaze did not drift from Edith, a look that seemingly could burn holes into foreheads. "I suppose this would be one reunion that tends to be on the 'more fun' side, Issacc."

James bit his tongue. He knew he had shown weakness in front of enemies, but every weakness has its own strength. That is in his iwn mind.
James soon put a smile on his face. He turned back toward the green eyed lady. He let her finish her remark."You say you don't remember the battle, but you forgot the other part of my request. I asked for details. Where could you or your friends not been able to reach?"
He paid no mind to mister smiles.

The man continued to smile gently as he watched them. "No... I don't see this as one of those fun reunions." he said musically, the frozen eyes unwavering from Rogue. He may have just been a beautifully crafted statue.. "I mean it's been only a few minutes and no one's tried to kill each other yet. The only genuine threat at this is that Mr. Kensington has cocked his Webley Mark VI .455 as a precaution."

"I have to say the same, Rogue, never thought I'd be back here or that I'd be able to get in here after our little party we here the last time we got together. I saw your dancing partner around but Alasdair seems to have up and disappeared again." She decided to clip it off there and leave things at that. Though she wasn't particularly bitter at the moment there was still resentment toward Rogue for slipping her that formula that'd made her go berserk and almost kill Tokeru and innocents. That would be something next to impossible for Meredith to forgive but now she would have to overlook it since she was the highest hunter authority around and operating in haven at the moment. It was a really stressful existence stepping in as temporary leader when you weren't even sure if it was going to be temporary.
As for when James bit his tongue at his moment of weakness, Meredith did not notice his tongue biting nor did she judge him for turning his back on potential enemies. Here it was not likely Rogue would willingly shed blood seeing as the premise was her own club that she probably got tired of paying damage reparations for. Rogue probably had more than enough money to fix the club a million times over since she was an elder, which meant she was one of the oldest vampires so she probably had tons of money from previous lives. All in all Edith was just relieved to see James and that he hadn't died but he'd probably been away training or dealing with something else. It seemed that all of the hunters she was once close with had disappeared but having James back and having seen Kerrigan for a brief bit had rekindled some of the fire inside her and some of the will to keep going and take things in stride.
"I think he means the kind of reunion that causes mass panic and brings armageddon upon us and is really just a huge old pain in the a**. Then again it's pretty much mass chaos right now with everyone on the streets forming their own little rebel groups and shooting people they 'think' are vampires. This has just gotten absolutely ridiculous and out of hand if you ask me. There are times to fight and times to hold back and right now I really think its a time to hold back, at least for the hunters since we're more focused on rioting groups not getting themselves killed by a lycan or demon than actually hunting. Mass babysitting, that's what it is." Clearly Eden was wanting things to change because this system of complete and total anarchy amongst the entire populace of the city was simply not working. "I personally think we have to do something about this. Somehow we have to calm the public down and make them disbelieve what Mauser's shown them."

"You think your so mighty don't you? Well, your just a worm."
James never seemed to have patients for the undead. This worm bait could let her race die, but he would save those who changed their ways. This is a new world, and they would have to follow its rules some day or die.
Edith at lets gave he a name."Im going to end this panic even if it kills me. This Mauser person just tossed us in a pool of piranhas. You sink or swim." The blood in his mouth was building up. He took out a twenty, held it above his head, let go, and then spat something at it. It landed on the table with a dark red crystal sliver three inches long pierced through the middle of it."Thanks for your time."
He turned and walked out of the club
*exit*
The crystal metls after a time being.

Rogue listened to Meredith's remarks quietly, especially after she mentioned Alasdair. Her face revealed nothing, and moved little, resembling stone...the only movement was the flicker of her eyes beginning to glow soft emerald in the darkness of this part of the club. Internally, she was enraged, but she used her years upon years of control to contain herself.
When James cut in with his funny remarks, she did not let her eyes leave Meredith. "Your remarks are so cutting, James. I now see the error of my ways and will use all my resources at my disposal to make your life happy." She looked at him then with a sarcastic expression as he left.

"Alasdair is a weakling... As he is he's attempting to take control of the vampires." the man said casually. "He is amusing though." He shifted his gaze over Rogue mimiking her own glare. There was a difference to the quality of it however. Where Rogues gaze was hot enough to sear through the flesh his was of the other variety. His eyes were so cold they seemed to numb the body, but sharp enough to cut into them. It was deep and invasive, in it's way far worse than any fire. "You're losing your grip. Just as the Lycans are currently losing their grip. The tainted have practically all become rogues. And Daiguren is going to attempt to kill Jaden, the current Lycan alpha, wit the help of a Fallen. Meanwhile there is another Fallen far worse than anything else on this plane pulling strings from the background." Leaning back slightly something shifted beneath his expensive white coat. "This of course is a brief summery of things. None of them good."

"And you must think of myself a weakling then, too, as all of the races seem to be going to hell..." She was a bit surprised at the cold of his eyes, but not shaken. The blue of them was otherworldly. She lifted an eyebrow at the thought of the lycans falling apart which did not quite bother her. But at the rate that every race was tearing at the seams, she wondered if she should not be bothered by this information. "What is this 'far worse than anything else' you speak of?"

"It is one of the strongest entities I've ever encountered. I don't believe it would be good for you to encounter it since you have psychic tendencies. It has no body to speak of and yet still retains an amazing quantity of power without overly influencing the physical world." He was watching all of them, not just focusing on Rogue. "Fortunately it is an old one that seems to have been stuck here for a long time. It's patient and doesn't seem overly concerned about what happens at the moment. So I suggest you put it out of your mind for the time being unless it moves to destroy you." He suddenly shifted and his gaze burrowed into the beautiful green ones. "If the current Lycan alpha survives the attempted rebellion that you meet with him. He's certainly garnered more attention in the city than most during this crisis. And I don't suppose he would be able to refuse you much of anything."

As much as she didn't want to be here and as out of place as she felt, she was currently the representative and stand-in leader of the hunters so she needed to behave and respresent the hunters accordingly. She wasn't going to be one of those block-headed hunters that rushed in and didn't ask questions first, she'd been able to do that when she'd been under William and Krii but not anymore. This was an entirely new concept to her and she had some hunters here that rebelled or refused to listen to her and others there that were devoted supporters. Some believed she was a great leader because of her last name, which her brother had made a legacy amongst the hunters and others simply spat upon all of it. Either way, though, Meredith chose to stay until she decided that there was really nothing too great of consequence.
She listened to the stories of the cold-eyed, white look-alike of Jaden and decided that something definitely wasn't right in this city and that more than likely that'd been the reason for Veroen's unease. However, she quickly shifted her thoughts elsewhere, not really wanting to experience the worry from his absence, choosing not to think about it was just the better way. So instead of hanging around too terribly long when it seemed that the Jaden look-alike wasn't going to reveal anything more on this "entity" she decided to head off and try to track James down, which probably wasn't going to be the easiest but she was sure she could do it one way or another.
First, though, she decided that she would make a pit stop by an old "friend's" house to ask for a very huge favour, not that she thought Ceon turning her into a lycan would be that huge a favour to ask. He'd only tried to kill her and his own child, what was it to him if she asked him to help their child? Of course this was likely to prove more a chore than anything but it was something that had to be done and so before the elders could pick up on her thoughts she decided to steer clear and assure her thoughts were her own.
(( Exit to Ceon's ))

"The current lycan Alpha is someone I do need to meet with..." She thought of Jaden, and how he had spared her life before...unnecessarily to boot. And the entity he spoke of would most likely not affect her, knowing her psychic tendencies were learned after years upon years of practice. Most vampires possessed these bottom of the line skills for communicating without speech. She was able to read auras since as long as she could remember, but she would hardly call herself someone who possessed much of anything psychicly. There could be some severe advantages to meeting with Jaden, and this, Issacc, whoever he was, for whatever the reason thought it good. She just wondered why he thought this an important move. Her gut instinct told her to do it.
"And I do suppose you could be the one to arrange a meeting...assuming he survives..."

"I'm sure that one will survive. It seems impossible to kill him no matter how badly he is injured. Among all of the species he seems the most beautifully perfected." There was a slight tone in the musical quality of the mans voice, something close to admiration had entered his speech though his eyes still didn't show it. "Something so feral that it can't be completly contained within his human form. So instead of those others that can walk in the world of humans he relies on such amazing power and determination. Of course that's not why Daigurens master wants him." The tone in his voice had returned to normal. Looking at his blue tinged fingernails. "And I would do not such thing. I have my own plans at the moment that involve things of a shadowy nature. I would not risk that creatures wrath at the moment until I have retrieved the weapons and blueprints of said weapons from the humans." He looked at Rogue, seeming to ignore all else. "They had an extremely successful field run but now they need to be modified. I can not allow inferior creations of mine out among the public after all."
