"Order" is such a misleading word. For us, it usually means PIZZA PARTY WOOHOO!

Well, it's just that most times in a movie they try to make the main character so... cool...that you love them automatically. This time they did that to Ramona. XD Dude, she put up with his s**t like... dude. I expected her to walk off in the end and leave him with his cute little asian Cathloic Private High School uniform-wearing 17yr old.

Well she almost did if you can remember. Just that the cute little asian Cathloic Privite High School uniform-wearing 17 year old saw that Scott and Ramona was the better couple.
See, we think relationships are supose to be all lovey dovey with no fights and similar intrest and stuff, but that's not true.

Scott is a loser and a geek who's prone to being an a** at times but is generally a nice, if slightly misguidedm, guy while Ramona is a hot chick who's had an interesting life that's she's not proud of and wants to change. Yes, friction is to be expected and in the long run the whole 7 evil exes might seem like a cake walk, but they do care for each other and thus the trials they encounter will be overcome.

Yes, but I was almost certain that he would stay with the asian girlie and she'd disappear back into the dream she walked out of. XD
Aaaand then the asian girlie was all cute. What the hell.
And yes, I'm pretty sure most of the relationships I know of have fights. And if they don't, that says something all on it's own. Movies just tend to tone it down while TV blows it all out of proportion. It's rare to see something in the middle.

D: Don't you think Loser is a bit harsh? He seemed immature and geeky, and yes even assish, but made of watered down win.

22 years old, no job and not in school. Also the comic, which the movie was really true to but had to compress time frame, shows that between the fight between the twins and the final fight he spent 4 months doing nothing but laying on a couch, playing games, and generally not doing anything productive with his life, not even going out and looking for Ramona.

I was also stating where he started off at, he did get better as the movie progressed. I also don't blame him for being slightly P Oed when him and Ramona had that fight in the club. I mean, he nearly got killed by Todd and won by quick thinking and luck and the Roxy fight did kinda mess with him since he didn't want to hit a girl. And I'm sure the whole "You'll never... be able.... to do this with... HER!" statement hit his self esteme a bit.

But that's just me. He had a right to be mad, but he didn't have to take it out on Ramona at the time.

XD
Ok, that's not even watered down win.
Pish, What was Todd going to do? Bash him over the head with a carrot? I don't see how any of the fights were really life threatening.. except suddenly he's turning people into coinage. SO. I blame comics and the insane endurance of all fight-anime heroes.

The first ex, who everybody agree's wasn't a threat in anyways, did kill some people when he was throwing fireballs. Remember? Crash and the band became skelletons?
Todd really was going to kill him, just going to make him suffer a whole lot of pain while doing so. Since he's an a** and is like that.
Roxy had a freaken' chain blade! And if not for Ramona helping him he would have been killed. Espeically since he didn't want to hit girls.
The twins summons a twin headed dragon with the power of their... techno.... rock... music.
And finally, if not for the 1-Up *it's in all the trailers so that's not a spoiler* Scott wouldn't have won in the end. If the screen had remained black for three second longer I would have yelled "Welp, movies over!"

The only Ex that probably wouldn't have killed Scott was Lucas. Beat him to a pulp maybe, but wouldn't have tired to kill him. Of course the rules stated that all fights where duels to the death. Had it been an actual video game and not a film we would have seen the "You are dead" screen a lot more.

>_____< Pish. They were extras. Everyone knows they were there to make the other band look good. I know I'm wimping out, but really.. I didn't get the whole danger feel. D: Maybe if they had showed his HP/SP bar.

Hahaha... well. If it were a video game, he'd have gotten more available powerups, a couple more 1-ups, and we'd still have seen the Game Over screen more often.

Haha. Well there really is a game out. I've only played the demo but it's fun. Just hard as hell. Even on easy mode. Seriously, I was getting my arse kicked on easy mode. I only beat it because I memorised what kind of enemies was going to pop out and had to play the level so many time I could buy the higher power ups avalible in the demo.

XD Hahahahaha
Duuuuuuude.
That's... so... funny. In a really bad way.

Bright side: I just got a blue giftbox. =O I didn't know Gaia even gave those out on pages anymore. I thought they all came from the Overseer in the aquariums.

Congrats ^.^ I get an enchanted Trunk and flying gift box every now and then. But I have to agree it's amazing they still have those around haha.

But you know, even with all the praise I've been giving the movie, the comics, the game, and even the 5 minute short they had on Adult Swim to promote the movie... it made me realized I really need to get out and find my own "Ramona". Of course that means going up to girls I like and asking them out. But the last girl I've met around here that could have been my Ramona was Kitty, and she was engaged at the time and now married.

Well, I'd agree that's a good way to go about it.
And you never know... you could find a Ramona in a totally unexpected place.

But I have to admit, I liked the girl's hair. I want to dye my hair blue now. XDD

Of course I have to be careful and not find "The Ramona" or else she's going to use my mind to help deliver packages and I'd have to fight a set number of evil people.

I'd still do it though. I mean, Scott was genre savvy enough to trick Lucas into defeating himself and used Todd's mind powers against him. Me, I'm genre savvy and probably wouldn't fight completely fair so... yeah.

Her hair was super awesome though haha. I wasn't much for the green but the pink and blue was stylen.

XD Well, Why not find THE Ramona? With or without quotes. I'm not sure she's gonna use the same tricks everywhere, but That's probably ok. By the time she gets to you, the league will have one or two not quite set exes and so you would have an ambiguous number of people to fight, evil and not so much so.

Dude, I almost had a theory that she changed hair colors every time a new ex was introduced... and then it got blown with 3...D: Or was it 4? But yeah. That would have been too cool.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 18, 2010 6:53 pm

This is mainly in the comics, which I've only read a few pages of the first ones and I have the last volume because that's all I could find in physical form, but Ramona is trying to hide from her past and also trying to keep herself from getting "stuck in the stream of life". She also said she changes her hair once every week and a half or something along those lines.

Of course they probably could have done that if not for the time compression. The comic took place over a year, with four months inbetween the 5th and the 6th(the last) one. But the movie was broken down into... what? Month and a half at tops? And that's if Ramona had just dyed her hair pink the day before or the day after we first saw her on screen.

I keep hearing about the comic. XD Was it a webcomic or something...? I've actually never heard of it or anything... So it's all news to me.

Indeedies, Time compression is a b***h. God only knows how long it really took. I'd follow her example and dye my hair but like... D: It would kill my hair, and then I'd never have happy hair again. I'd just have rad hair. With amazing colors.
