k. here's a rant....
Honestly. Kids of this generation are (excuse me for my language in this post) ******** up. Kids as young as five are watching mature shows like Jersey Shore and Gossip Girl. At that age, I was sulking up in a blanket watching Disney movies and G-Rated kid shows, like Arthur and Angela Anaconda. Kids of this generation are dressing up as if they're the characters off Jersey Shore and little girls are dressing like Miley Cyrus and she dress up as a slut. I recall having my mum to get my clothes out my dresser and I would dress in it without a care. I would cover up all my skin because I didn't want anyone touching me while kids of this generation are showing off their skin- I mean, Do you want to get harassed by a stranger by the way you're dressing?
Not to mention their attitudes to their parents, elders and younger kids. Children and teens in this generation act like they own the world- they push off their parents, yell at the young and disrespect the elderly. You know why this generation is so ********? It's because we're so spoiled with the new technology we are being given- the technology being advertised on the internet. We are given so many treats and yet we don't give anything back to those who we owe people to. We aren't kind, compassionate and giving back what we owe to those who are nice to us.
Don't get me started on the teenagers my age. First of all, why are some of us already losing our v-card, smoking, sneaking out of the house and even running away from home with someone you think you love? It's not love at this age. It's puppy love and you won't understand the feeling truely, yet? Not to mention, kids as young as 12. 12 Are losing their virginity to boys their age or older. Kids my age? We're ditching school, drinking alcohol, smoking and rotting our lives away as if we're 20 years old or older.
This is what I hate about my generation. We're all too proud of ourselves for doing nothing. We all think we're mature and ready to skip a few steps in life to 'be a cool person' when in fact, I think the people who think they're so mature to drink and smoke are idiots. Seriously. You're only 12-15. What the hell do you think you're doing?
You should be studying, looking for a job, spending time with family and friends, purchasing clothes that's what's good for you, reading and doing stuff like spending your time outside wisely. Yet some of us are locking ourselves inside (guilty) our rooms rotting away doing nothing- playing on our consoles or laptops/desktops doing nothing. Some of us are reading, drawing, watching tv, playing on their gaming console or are walking out in the park with friends or something. The kids/teens I just listed are what I want from this Generation.

I know exactly how you feel Emi. I was in the park the other day and there was a mob of 10-12 year olds. The girls were wearing shorts so short you could literally see their asses and crop tops, and the guys were drinking alchohol. I kid you not. They were. You could even smell it.
I worry for the youth of the future. What the ******** is the world coming to?

/rantAgreed, I don't even want to think of the world in 50 years. I swear. This stuff is everywhere. You can't avoid talk ect about sex, drugs, alcohol, smokeing. And most people are too afraid to say no. ********, I'm more like a 8 year old then most slutty dressed 8 year olds are now a days. I don't care for puppy love and frankly love watching disney movies. While they're already fricking making out ._. We need someone in control to just say no. I know thats not going to happen though, because the media pretty much feeds off these things, without them, what would they right stories about? Perhaps things that actually matter, but then the appeal is gone. Children are learning about these things way too young. Dx Hell, I didn't know half of the slang last year and I still dont know a lot of it. And frankly I'm glad of that. But seriously, parents need to stop letting their kids do things like that and people higher up need to try to at least tone down the fricking media.

I got some weird news the night before last and I just don't know what to do with it. My son just kind of drops it on me ..he found out over winter holiday in California that this girl, who is basically my ex (never been big on needing formalization of relationships)is dead. And he just told me the night before last. and he doesn't have any information how so likely she either finally successfully killed herself or her abusive ex boyfriend succeeded in killing her.
I just don't know what to do with this information. I loved her, but it was over a long time ago.
I didn't know what to do with the information when I talked to her 3? 4? years ago and she had hooked up with one of my exes an was still keeping a picture of me on the mantle of her bed and said she still loved me. That was just way creepy for me and so I didn't talk to her much after letting her know why my other ex was in such disfavor. She dumped his a** and was going to hold on to my computer for me.- I don't know why with the computer, the thing is so obsolete it makes a better door stop than a comp these days. so ...um. yeah. Now she's dead.

Thanks to that weird dream I've realized that I'm completely jealous of someone that I'll probably never meet. Going to go cuddle with my blankets and try not to think about it.
