Jethrow watched as she disappeared, and he pressed a nearby button to close the garage door again. Getting up, he tucked his hands into his pockets and started to wander the hallways, hoping to encounter the Irish nurse and not have to spend the rest of the night being bored.

Icarus headed out past the small town and, after a bit of driving, she came to her element. The big city. All the lights, the hustle and bustle. She loved this! The girl sighed contently before going and parking her Vespa in a garage. She then grabbed all the money she had on hand before setting out. First stop was to get a few cartons of cigarettes. The next stop? A bookstore.

Jethrow wondered why he even gave a damn. Probably because he didn't like the god, on the mere principal of what he was god of. Or perhaps it was the fact that he needed somebody to drink from, and with Icarus gone he'd be forced to keep a fridge of synthetic blood in his room. He didn't want to have to deal with that again....

Icarus didn't spend too long in the city. She bought some new books, cigarettes, and some food to stash in her room. She soon arrived back and got the garage door open and rolled her bike back inside. Once inside and the door was shut, she grabbed her bags and yawned a little, heading up to her room.

The next day through classes, the god of death's appearance was still bothering Jethrow. He even managed to be kicked out of a class for not paying attention, and chose to sulk in the library, where nobody seemed to go.

Icarus had seen the boy get kicked out. Since it was the only class they shared. He did seem rather distracted...
Of course, Jethrow was very wrong. A certain god of death was laying on top of a bookshelf in a darker section of ceiling. It reminded him of when he first met his wife Maria. And that brought up feelings of how he missed her so much.

Jethrow sighed. Staring out the window was just hurting his eyes as the sun came out from behind the clouds. He shrank back into the darker rows of books, running his fingers aimlessly over the shelves. He didn't particularly care for reading, but at least he was shielded from the stinging sun amongst the forest.

Shiro soon glanced down and saw the vampire. Obviously hiding from the sun. But what was he doing out of class? Delinquent maybe? A talk wouldn't hurt. "Ya know, vampire or human, it hurts to stare at the sun." he said, smiling down at the boy.

Jethrow jumped and looked around for the voice. "I wasn't staring at the sun," he said indignantly, before he looked up and caught sight of the death god. His eyes widened, and he wished he could capture his previous words and shove them back down his throat.

Th god laughed softly before jumping off the shelf and landing in front of Jethrow. "So. I hear you're the vampire drinking Icarus' spare blood." he said, dusting himself off.

Jethrow watched the god carefully, and he rubbed the back of his neck at the statement. "Er... Y-yes...Um, sir?" he said timidly. He wasn't entirely sure what protocol with gods was. After all, most people didn't live after meeting gods.

Shiro nodded some, patting the boy on the head. "Well keep her alive and watch out for her." he said until he seized the boy by the collar of his shirt, bringing his face closer. "Because if something happens to her and you did it or could have done something to prevent it, I swear I'll be officially seeing you very early." he growled before releasing the boy, going back to his friendlier personality. "Are we clear?"

Jethrow nodded hurriedly before the god released him. "Y-yeah," he said nervously, rubbing the front of his throat nervously. The vampire was quite frightened by this revelation. His mind briefly flashed to the night before. What if her Vespa had crashed? He would be dead by now....

Shiro nodded some. "And don't worry. I'll know when you break our little deal. After all, I am the God of Death." he said, smiling back at the vampire before shooing the boy out of the library. "Now back to class with you. And pay attention."

Jethrow gulped and practically ran to his next class, actually getting there early. At least he now knew that the god didn't care to kill Icarus... In fact, the god actually seemed quite preoccupied with keeping the bird alive. So, he took comfort in that, and attempted to pay attention to the classes.
