Fenrir Graveheart Ana Helios Here you go, the first, and extremely rough, sketch of Ethan...Knight since Cross is too common of a name. The actual picture that was done is miles better in my opinion. [[This is an image] He looks like a half-dead Dante rip off. o_O You sure this is the look you wanna go for? I mean I know Dante's badass but there are other ways to make him look cool. lol Its not bad but I'd change the hair. I don't really see it...and I've been a fan of Dante since...forever. Anyway, I made personal changes to him myself, making him look more like...I can't compare it to anything really. I can explain my personal changes to him if you want me to, when i look at the Work-In-Progress and my own picture I see how dramatic the differences are.

A large portion of the changes I'm gonna guess are the colors, which the black and white pic is obviously missing.

Really man, I can't see it, tons of people have that kind of hair in games, but Ethan's is different anyway so I don't see the similarity. And if you're talking about the black and white guns...dude, colored guns, I've seen it plenty of times. And his main color scheme will stay as black, once again this is just a WIP, it isn't the complete picture. But you're right, I did get the idea of the guns from Dante, but black and white handguns are not exclusive to him in any way. And here is what I've gathered... Hair: No Clothing Style: No Gloves: No Guns: Yes Bookbag: No Shoes: No Color Scheme: No Eye Patch / Eyes: No Jacket: Not even close... Pants: No

I was just so angry my drawing was jacked up...I cooled down so I'm back to the way things were. Sooo good? o_O Ok then. I finished watching both of the karate kid movies. They were awesome. And it made me come back to a question about the SFvsMA series that I haven't thought about for some time. And that is the question of the setting. I wanted to set it in japan to perhaps play off of the foreign scenery and stereotypical japanese high school setting, but the more I get into the more I realize that I really just don't know all that much about Japan. I've never been there, so I feel like I really just don't understand the land I'm talking about. Should we change the setting? He doesn't HAVE to go to Japan you know. We could set him up in someplace like San Francisco, in China Town. It would at least explain how everyone knows the same language. >.>

Yeah, it was a bit of a rare coincidence. However, would an american high school have the same number of martial art-type clubs as a japanese school? This is just going off on the stereotype again but in anime those high schools always have a number of clubs like kendo, judo, ect.

I don't think America has many of those clubs actually in the school, you'd normally have to go to a public place to learn it. America is more...football club, not kendo or karate club. In Japan they do actually have those clubs in their schools, many of them.

Yeah, so I am needing to go back to sleep, but I refuse to until the minor tweaks I've made to a certain skill in MMA are looked at. I dunno if it's good or not, and... well, this is disheartening me. Now I understand how busy you are. Been there before, know what it's like. Thing is, I'm kinda working hard to make this at least as unique as the other cool s**t I've seen. I feel it'd be a real boost to my confidence to at least hear some critique if not outright "okay, this works, accepted" on what I'm working on. Just a thought.
