I want to see.
Also, Tokushi says hi. He's doing well. Apparently, he has his own source of cookies, so he doesn't need to steal Sage's anymore. xD He then went on to tease me, so we won't be discussing that. >>

Well see strands of fate is a system built on the idea of doing anything with a character through the use of powers and aspects that define them. In this case Jon, Mori, Nemo, Rin, etc would be considered Metro Class Super Heroes while Yata and other first class characters would be considered World Class Super Heroes and the captains would be Galaxy Class Super Heroes. Anything below third rank would probably only be considered Mythic or Legendary accordingly. Skills are determined on a scale of 1 to 5 with a number of points divided between the skills coming to be 27 more are added by adding the advantage of experienced later. In this instance Jon has a Agility Score of five but a strength score of 2 as well as a resources score of one and a persuasion of two while Nemo has a strength of 4 and an agility of 2 as well as resources at 3 and persuasion around 3 as well. The Advantages then come into play determining what kind of abiilities the characters have. At this point the characters mention above start with 20 advantage points which are then spent on powers. In this case Jon only has one power that has remained dormant thus far except for one moment of its partial appearance called the Vipers Blessing. This falls under the category of the Poison ability with the added advantages of being able to taint food and be a touch attack with the potency of nine and the subtlety of 5. This comes to be a 7 point power. Other advantages that aren't powers grant Jon bonuses to tracking, lock picking, climbing, dodging, using bows and cross bows, shadowing, hiding in plain sight, and sniping. What really defines the character though are aspects which are defined as follows.
Defining Aspect: Jon: Venomous Dawn Archer / Nemo: Independent Bandit King Ambition: Jon: Always Return Home / Nemo: Get Rich or Die Trying Background Jon: Raised in a Den of Thieves / Nemo: Desert Rat Conviction: Jon: "Touch My Family and Die" / Nemo: "There's always a profit to be made" Disadvantage: Jon: Blinding Rage / Nemo: A Wee bit Narcissistic
and then Specialty aspects that relate to abilities
Excellent Skill: Jon: World Class Archer (Agility) / Nemo: Con Artist (Deciet) Foe: Jon: Not the Captains Favorite (Resources) / Nemo: Ramses is out to get me (Resources) Gear: Jon: Secrets of the Black Lotus (Craft) / Nemo: Traditional Weapons (Strength) Help: Jon: Well known strider (Persuasion) / Nemo: Thief Underlings (Resources) Inferior Skill: Jon: Man of Few Words (Persuassion) / Nemo: Hot Blood (Will Power)
These can be compelled my a dm or player to either help or cause trouble for the character. If it helps then the action cost a fate point if it causes trouble then the action gives a fate point. It also causes a fate point to resist a compel. Characters health is divided into three categories physical, mental, and social stress. You have a number of stress in each category dependent on two skills in each category. Once one row of stress is filled you take a consequence, each row after that leads to a more severe consequence until the player concedes or is dead. The higher the consequence the longer it takes to get rid of its effect. And thats how a character breaks down into strands of fate. It really is cool. I've been playing a wednesday night game of it where we have been Cloud Ninja in Naruto. We're about to explode internally however due to one character not melding well with the ninja world.

Despite the large wall of text at the beginning, that certainly does sound interesting.
I do object to Nemo's disadvantage. A 'wee bit' my behind...

Its a fun system to play though. It led to my character blowing up a large chunk of a forest on the border of the lightning country, accidentally killed a sand trader with a cart that was flipped due to said explosion and the other character who is combative killed the surviving merchants for threatening Cloud. All of this because aspects were compelled.

It certainly sounds fun. I've admittedly not heard too much about the fate system around my parts. Then again, It's been forever since I've done any sort of paper- pen rpg, or tabletop.

It also helps that the group is very well formed. See we are a four man squad. Three Chunin and a Genin now. However the Genin in question has displayed and intense amount of power when she punched a hole in Shino. So now after a three year time skip, my character, Hadena, and anothe Chunin, Miji, are ANBU with the continuous mission to keep an eye on and report on their team mates. One who is a pacifist aesthetic, think Buda or Sidhartha, and the other who wants to reform the villages into a better society. So basically they frown on our constant procloud attitude and my characters mantra of "The end justifies the means." Basically if you are near these two and utter any threat towards cloud village you will die. The other two on hand may sympathize with you.
