Mitsu looked back toward the field where the other hunters had vanished. "D...do you think they will come back?" It was tough enough getting passed the human wall they had right now, how much worse would it be if the other hunters came back and ambushed them from behind?
Looking to Riyo as she cursed Mitsu realized she wasn't the only one to get caught in an attack nor was she the only one to try to take the opportunity to run passed while there was a distraction. Too bad the hunters were very aware of what was going on.

Savior didn't have time to really think on her feet, not that she would be even remotely able to do so, but if everyone was attacking those people in capes maybe she should to? Perhaps they were the Marrowstripes because there just couldn't have been only those two.
That would be silly.
Though, of course, her attacks would do little to no damage if she couldn't get a decent hand on one of them. Savior was most certainly a grappler, she did better if she was up close and fighting - not just swinging at whomever was nearby.

Rped out post: And her pin still decided to crap out on her so Holly was still stuck as a fox. Awesome. Well it really wasn't that much of a bummer since it was her natural form and all. The part that sucked was that foxes couldn't talk so it was hard to communicate with those that she knew.
Holly decided to lash out again at the group of hunters. She swiped her paws along a few of them. Ah, that felt like it finally did something.

There was so much pain flooding the field, and Leonard was somewhat overwhelmed. The large group had endured several times, and surely they must be in such horrible pain. He was unsure of where to try to hit, where to focus his pain-relieving powers. Should he break away to fight the chaotic masses surrounding the group?
Or should he help them, as they seemed to have his same goal in ending the pain around them, and then he could attack the masses at will again? For now it was too much to think about and he simply headbutted his way through the group, dealing out damage where he could and hoping that maybe he could help someone on their way to oblivion.

The story thus far.. Hunter trainees and students were taken to a room where time was held at a standstill. When they were released, they found themselves confronted with a very familiar scene: the hunter back yard encampment and a recently captured Soul Harvester. This was not a simple case of deja vu, but rather a do-over created through a deal between the Harvester and the mysterious Clockwork. The senior hunters appear to have no idea that time was manipulated in such a manner. A battle began to take place, and the students, having run through this particular warzone before, now had a much easier time of it. But before things could really heat up...the Hunter Trainees got an new command, via text, and were transported out of the area for what was revealed to be an ambush on the other students who were taken through through the door of Space. The benefits of going back and changing the past can be high, as are the risks. In this version of events, it was not Caelius to meet the Soul Harvester on the field as she was freed, but Dr. H and his assistant. Rather than meet her head on, power for power, the doctor took advantage of a moment of weakness to behead her, in the hopes that their portable containment unit could hold the Harvest long enough to fully contain her. But their are certain creatues in any world that should not be bound, and instead of holding her, it fully destroyed her instead. Alone on the field against a mob of nightmare creatures, Dr. H and Clarice summoned the help of Moon Squad 12 to hold off the assulat until Caelius returned with the trainees. Seprately, the squad members are nothing too difficult, but their defensive coordination has created a difficult wall for those trying to fight their way into the tent. Others have sought to use stealth to snaek in the back way, but only a handful have made it through without attracting the doctor or his assistant's rather painful/i] attentions.
How long can the hunters hold out? Will the students be able to rescue their friends from what some may consider a fate worse than death?
THE GAUNTLET REDUX: ROUND 2b:The students efforts continue, and though they've had some success in attacking the Hunter squad, the defense has shown no real sign of breaking. Moon Squad 12 HP: 419/650 "You shall not pass oh ******** hell pony."GAUNTLET ROUND 2b RULES: - Please note, if your student is just now entering the field, they were in time to witness this scene. - You MAY use Pumpkin Pills for this gauntlet run. - If your HP hits 0, you will dissipate regardless of the situation and end up back in home base, where you will be grounded there for the rest of the metaplot . - You can post more than the requirements, but please keep them minimized as to not overwhelm the GMs. - Pins are still a little wonky, thanks to the FEAR energy from the Soul Harvester's Final Death: you are free to rp out your students Natural form or regular student form (but the rolls and results are still the same). Make sure to clearly mention in your third post what your character looks like (natural or sealed), or a brief idea of it so the Hunters know how to explain it while they are targeting! - BOOS: YOU HAVE THE SAME OPTIONS AS THE STUDENTS.
IF YOU HAVE JUST ARRIVED:
ROLL A 100-sided dice: - If you roll 10 or less you will take - 5 damage from the initial traps. You may attempt to leave this area up to three times this round. Each failure is -5 hp. - If you roll higher, go up to the trap area and follow that prompt.
IF YOU ARE STILL IN THE BATTLEFIELD:
- GO UP TO THE FREAKING TRAP AREA AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE NEXT SECTION. YOUR WAY SHOULD BE CLEAR TO DO SO. Or just linger around uselessly if you feel thats more IC for your character.
IF YOU WERE FIGHTING AT THE TENT/TRAP AREA:
- You find yourself with a choice, you can try to force your way through the defense oriented Moon Hunter Squad at the entrance or...try to sneak in through the back. You may attempt to attack or sneak up to three times, combined. (So no three of one, three of the other business.)
At the front you find: a group of eight hooded men and women, weapons glowing and at the ready. However they do not choose to attack, only defend. This concentration makes them both a safer target, but also a very sturdy group.
To attack: Roll your normal or FEAR (if you have some left) attacks against them as per usual, and RP it out. Be sure to subtract the HP from their combined HP pool, so as to help people not have to go through pages and doing extra MATHS. With a group like this, you can't just take one down, you need to weaken them all. If you knock their HP down to 0 you and everyone else may enter the tent or stay and fight the now unprotected Dr. H and Clarice in the next round.
note: Horseman AOE damage will have a x3 multiplier against the group.
To sneak: Roll 1 d10. If you roll a one, congratulations, you may exit to the tent. If you roll anything else, you got caught by either Doctor H or Clarice and poked/whipped from a distance for -5 HP.
Form:
ROLL NUMBER HERE
Rped out post: Rp it okay. HP: List your HP pool and keep track of it. IF YOUR HP IS ZERO YOU ARE DISSIPATED, MAKE SURE YOU CALCULATE YOUR HP ACCORDINGLY FROM LAST ROUND. Battle Status: (In your last post choose either CAUGHT IN LASERS, SNEAKING, ATTACKING, KO'ed, or HEAL), depending on your last roll.
Hunter Group HP: if attacking the wall of tanks at the entrance.
IF YOU HAD UNUSED ROLLS PRIOR TO THIS, THEY ARE NOW GONE.
IF YOUR HUNTER WAS ON THE FIELD AND NEVER GOT TO MAKE AND EXIT POST. JUST PUNT THEM TO THE SPACE ROOM, DONT WORRY ABOUT AN EXIT POST.
IF YOU HAVE YET TO POST A HUNTER HERE. JUST PUNT THEM TO THE SPACE ROOM. Mechanic Update For this battle, is you use Tainted Fang, please just subtract the total damage it would have done over time to the boss HP. A horseman's regular attack counts as an AOE.

Glancing back at Mitsu as she asked her question, Shun nodded grimly.
"They wouldn't be guarding this tent if they didn't have things they wanted to come back for. We don't know where they went so it's likely a safe bet to assume they could return."
As he said this, he had to wonder what became of the rest of Team Awesome(?). Hel and Mot were nowhere to be found, so they must have been warped elsewhere. There were a number of other students he had yet to see out here such as Xiu and Lizzy. Granted, he supposed they could be in the cages within the tent, but that didn't seem entirely likely to him. Perhaps the hunters had left to deal with the other students.
Twitching slightly at that thought, he just shook his head. It wouldn't do him too much good to keep thinking about what could be happening right now.

Rped out post: Mitsu supposed that was a good point. They wouldn't defend the tent if they didn't intend on coming back. With Hunters still stationed here it was really only a waiting game until the others returned. And if this was the same situation as before were Lattice and Lizzy still in the cages beyond this area?
"We need to get passed them." Mitsu hissed a bit from the pain radiating through her torso but did her best to ignore it as she moved forward to attack to get through, claws flying. If her friends were on the other side of these humans she was going to get to them and she was going to help.

It would seem they were making a dent in these hunters somehow but Bul was feeling he may have been testing his luck a bit with his second wind of energy. Returning to human form he held his breath and took a few moments in defense to decide what he would do next.
That tent.. had anyone even gone into it? If any students had snuck in HE certainly hadn't seen them but was it worth a shot? There were so many hunters out on the battlefield and all had very trained, watchful eyes. There was no way his spikey a** could get past them.
Still, it was worth a shot.
He only managed to get so far when... oops.
Caught by the two hunters, the half beast made a break for it, but was lashed by one of their whips wincing.
Wait.. a second...
