"I'm fine." The muffled voice vibrated into Herryk's chest, before Freya turned her head up to look at her sister. "Just not hungry." Her smile was tired, but genuine. "Nice punch by the way. I hopes she deserved it."

Oh if Damien could express the happiness in his heart, he'd pelvic thrust all the way through the haunted house. Catching the bag with a happy yip he wasted no time tearing it open and munching on one of the jerky pieces with much relish. "Oh boy oh boy oh boy! thank you!" he said back earnestly to Hel.
It didn't even matter that he forgot about the steaks in his bag, a pack of jerky was allllllllll his. And if it wasn't for team venture, he'd follow the ghoul all over the place. But for now he settled for trotting back over to where his safe group members were and plopped the jerky bag on Bul's head. "I knew you were going to drag my a** along from the start brah." he quipped back before flicking his tail at the boil and flopping over the ghouls bonelessly and pursing his lips in thought.
Bea knew all the right questions to ask and the hound floundered, unable to find a delicate way of mentioning it to the ghost. "Barth didn't make it back with us, I think he's still stuck with those things, the hunters. he said rather dryly, the words barely able to come out of his mouth. After that, he didn't feel much like talking and preferred to bat at Willows tail half heartedly.
It was never fun to be the bearer of bad news.

Herryk made a move to catch the jerky that Freya had been tossed. He missed. Forlornly he sat staring at the jerky. It probably was delicious, and despite the fact that Herryk rarely ate just the prospect of chewing on something was appealing. Herryk grunted and squeezed Freya's hip.
Hel was a sassy thing, and it was obvious how similar the Valkyrie sisters were. He had to hide a smile. Somehow he knew that neither sister would appreciate his amusement.
"Tell Herryk what happened after.. after he left, Freya."

"Wait Bea... one with a huge sword? Not a scythe? Did they seem to be giving commands any?" Bul asked the ghoul curiously kneeling to gather his focus.
Shaking his head the half beast looked around at those that had made it out of the tent. "Just a lot of fighting. I got shot in the ******** a** at one point by a little kid but the bigger problem was the guy with the big scythe. He was from the last field trip nearly killed us all. I didn't spend too long looking at the captives. Willow got them out so fast and I didn't want to miss my chance to stop Dr. H. Turns out that... wasn't him."
Turning to Demi Bul smirked. "But we really held our own and clearly you managed to last too Bea. You snots are pretty ******** amazing yanno?" He took the bag from his head and snagged a couple strips to munch on.
"So now we're really only after Barth. Which sucks, he's a really strong dude and if they make him a weapon-" Bul suddenly lowered his voice realizing that it may offend Calder and Christof. (and frankly anyone else) "Then we might be boned..." he whispered to his teammates.

Nodding, Shun glanced at his hand and it seemed that he was thinking about something. Slowly, he brought his hand down. He wondered if he was overstepping things right now. Sure, she didn't seem to mind but... "Just.. be careful. I don't want to lose you to those people,"It wasn't really something he's really said before but there were no lies there. They had captured Lizzy and Lattice and a few others at first and there was really no telling what the hell they had in mind. Speaking of, he probably should ask her to see if she would be willing to fill them in. ... In a little bit. There was still a thing or two he wanted to try and sort out in his head while they had some down time. The clearer he managed to make his head, the better he'd be able to tackle the whole situation. He did overhear that Barth was missing and still is. Wait... "Make him a weapon?" he said while glancing back towards the half-beast.

Freya's eyes remained on her sister when Herryk called for her attention, but she immediately put his hair back in her mouth and chewed on it in discontent.
"We fights. I protects Lattice, and they beats me up instead. That's all."
Normally, Freya was a pretty decent liar. Trauma was making her a terrible liar.
"And yeh? How did yeh get here?" Though, by the sudden darkness in her voice, what she was really asking was which of those lowlifes had thrown the final blow.

Bea's smile quickly turned into a frown. Barth... didn't make it back? "B-Barth?!" Her eyes grew wider with concern, "How could he not make it back with everyone else?" Bea began to grow quiet. A friend is gone to those... hunters? Many questions raced in Bea's mind. What happened to him? How was he the only one captured? Who were these hunters, and what did they want with Barth?
Bul's questions interrupted her thoughts. "Wha? Oh... Um... I remember it was a huge sword. Not a scythe, I don't think. It didn't say anything. There was--- I can't remember all too well. Everything happened so fast, I just--- I'm sorry..."
Bea turned away from the group and looked up towards Calder and Christof who were by the steps. Barth is a strong boil, she thought to herself, he'll survive...
"So, then? What's the plan for Team Venture?" Bea beamed with optimism.

Had it been anyone else fibbing to him, Herryk would have been clueless, but Herryk could tell that Freya was not giving him the entire truth. He wouldn't push her for more information now, though. Once they returned home... he'd have the truth. He'd beg for the truth. Herryk's guilt would eat him up until he knew the whole story.
"A one-armed false-reaper cut Herryk, but a big... circle-thing was the final blow." He shrugged, lifting his hands to rest against her shoulders. Herryk squeezed, sighing softly. He'd never forget how that weapon had looked soaring across the sky before it smashed into his skull.
It had been terrifying.

Bul glanced when he heard his vocabulary repeated and narrowed his eyes towards Shun, nodding very slowly. If he wanted more of an explanation he'd give it to him but it wasn't meant for the whole lot of them just yet. Just what you need before running back out into the danger zone that you may be converted into an inanimate object.
Nox's precious information was not ready to be spread though if Bul learned anything thus far on this trip THESE Halloweeners were completely safe to trust. It was a matter of respect and dignity towards Barth that also helped him resist exploring the subject more.
"I want to go back in. Up to this point? We... we were actually starting to have fun I think. We have to keep that mindset here and when we come face to face with the hunters again we know not to lose ourselves in it. Just so we are clear though if we meet any that aren't the head honchos? Do what you can to avoid them. Its futile to battle the minions when you can take down the whole ******** fortress with one human."

Willow watched Demi with his bag of jerky, she chuckled. She listened to the others talk quietly as she waited. "I want to go back in." She said softly looking back towards the house.
"We can figure out how to save Barth when we get there. That's how we got to the tent last time..." She said softly ears flickering. Pausing to look at Bul, "Weapons..." Her ears fell down, "Is that why they were able to hurt us?" She asked with a frown. She remembered that one attack really freaking hurt.

"A big circle- hah! I know which one did it, then." Her head tilted up, and her grin turned genuine, and feral. "We keeps our eyes open and eats him if we sees him, ja?"
She would break her new diet for that, for sure.
The healing had sealed away all of her puncture wounds, but the scar across her bare stomach was still red and swollen from pain. She removed her hand and pointed at it - the markings were clear.
"See? He ran over me, too."

“No problem, friend.” Hel replied to Damien, offering the boil a small smile before turning back to her sister.
“Freya, I didn’t spring from the pumpkin patch yesterday.” Hel scowled, and waved the bag of jerky at her again. “You never turn down jerky…ah, yes. I owed her one.” The ghoul replied simply with a nod of her head, and instead passed the bag over to Herryk. “Here you are, friend. Maybe this will be of use to someone at least, yes?” Hel stood then, waving to her sister. “I am going back in as well…but I shall return to my team…good luck sister, fight well!”
The ghoul turned then and made her way back to her team, but paused as she happened to catch some of Shun and Bul’s conversation. She took in the information. “…That is good advice, friend.” She agreed with a nod, “…I suppose it will be more of a challenge to complete our rooms with the threat of these false reapers…do you think they can appear in our rooms, or better yet…any idea on what will be waiting for us at the end of room five?”

Message Bearers:Herryk Roch Mot Damien Christof Lattice Hel Bul Shun The boogeyman reaper winced when Hel gave Riyo a swift punch. There were too many students here, too many to heal at once. Already the bells were replaced on the belts, hands empty only to be filled again as the reaper pinched the bridge of their nose. This was almost too much. At least none of the students approached them to ask questions. The boogeyman shook their head, saying nothing as they approached the front door. The knob was twisted before the boogeyman stepped back, delivering a swift kick to open it. The house was open again. The reaper gestured to those assembled, waving for their attention. "If you've made your mind, go on in. If you're to take a message..." The reaper took a deep breath, steadying themselves. "If you see Red or Cee? Tell them that the sun is rising." It wasn't; any who looked up would see that night was still young. The stars had come out, the moon still low on the horizon. There were still many hours left for the night to reign. It was as if they hadn't been within the house for more than ten, fifteen minutes... Quote: THE OOC:If you chose to return to the house, please enter and return to your group thread. If you respawned here from the gauntlet and were not killed, your HP is the same as it was pre-respawn here. If you had less than 50% HP, buff your health up to 50%. If you died in the gauntlet, your HP is now 50% of what it usually is. ie: Y1: 15/30 HP Y2: 20/30 HP Instant KO'd?You're now at 50% HP, as instant KO is the same as dying. c:

Damien placed a well aimed elbow into the half beasts chest as he took back his bag of deliciousness. "Don't insult us Snots, you were once one too towel boil." he barked back jokingly before tossing one of the strips at Bul's face.
And then the words caught up, must have missed what he said with the new hole but the hound stared at the taller boil like he grew an extra head. Which isn't bad, if it was himself who did it. "What did you say Bul?" he asked sternly, as if daring him to repeat it.
Weapons, turning into something....... that was alive yet not.... how frightening and horrible a fate that would be. the weapons those, those MONSTERS wield were once... alive. "that's unbelievable, how cruel an existence." he uttered forlornly. Barth was stuck with those freaks. "No, we have to get the sloth out immediately." he growled out and began to check his bag for what it had left in it.
s**t apparently got very very real.

Team Awesome
There was that look on Shun's face like he was thinking about something....no...considering something. Mitsu just wished she knew what that was because it seemed like he changed his mind at the last minute as he let his hand fall away. She tried her best not to let the disappointment show, but she rather enjoyed his comforting touch.
"You be safe as well." Mitsu certainly didn't want to lose Shun like she had lost her brother. What if he disappeared and never came back?
Glowbug's conversation had been background noise, Mitsu really hadn't been listening though she could hear him. It was actually Shun's repeat of the words that caught the lycan's attention. "Make him....a weapon?" She repeated the words softly trying to put that thought in her mind. That...wasn't possible was it? But Glowbug nodded...so was it really? It just sounded so implausible. Like something out of a book.
Unconsciously Mitsu gripped Shun's jacket tighter, the thought adding a new worry to her mind. Was that why they have captured Lizzy's group? There were so many questions now and no answers.
