My first visit is next Wednesday, but it won't be actual therapy, more a meeting the doctors and discussing the process. I hope it works, relief would be lovely.
Ailsa ~ I keep meaning to get you more flowers too! I have a few if you would like them.

Yip - I'm still working on my quest for yellow daffodils. OG LoLo - thank you, I just accepted the trade >.< And Alicia, any daffodils you have would be very much appreciated. Thank you for helping me!!
My vacation was pretty good. I got strep throat the day we were leaving so the first week was less than pleasant, but once we got to Waiheke Island (a small island about a 40 minute ferry ride away from Auckland, on the main land), it was lovely. A bit too hot at times, but I got lots of reading done and spent lots of time with family. I read the Twilight books, but (I hope I'm not offending any Twilight fans here!) I thought they were kind of rubbish. They were good for escapism, as they were totally plot driven, and that's what I needed, but as a piece of literature, they really don't hold much value lol
Alicia, I'm going to pray that you're first meeting goes well. I know how nerve wracking it can be to meet a new doctor. (That sentence is slightly ironic due to the fact that I meet new doctors because of nerve damage. Nerve wracking lol) It's a blessing when a new doctor is presented to you, because another brain, another set of opinions, a new set of eyes, could be what it takes for a breakthrough to happen. I've just been given a new physio who, although very young, is the most experienced in his field here in the lower of the North Island. Why? Because he is actually interested. I never thought that being interested was something that would help me, but it's been the key to this new program I'm starting. This guy, Gareth, has been trying to find a patient with CRPS/RSD because he was intrigued by it, and now that he has found me, he wants to do everything and anything that might help. I feel like a guinea pig at times, but anything to get rid of even the smallest amount of this pain would be a relief. It's nearing on 5 years, and I'm getting tired of it more and more. I haven't slept more than 6 hours this entire week (it's now Sunday) and running on low battery doesn't help cope with pain!
Anyway, I've got a bit of research to do before my next physio session, so I must go. I hope you're all having a great Saturday/Sunday depending where you are! xx love Ailsa xx
It's so nice to be back with you all. Thank you <3

HI, ALISA!!! (lol) Since you read the Twilght series, and aren't a HUGE fan, (I just like Jacob >.<) I'd recommend reading Nightlight. (Its a parody!)
Alicia:: ooooh, Water Therapy! They have that for pets, too. I signed my St. Bernard up for it a few years ago. She's old and was having joint problems. (It worked great for her!) Haha!

Ailsa, It truly IS a wonderful thing that you've come back to us. I know for myself, I have missed you a great deal. OH! Btw, Congrats on your promotion of being Co-Captain !! Way To Go !!!!!
I haven't been posting in here as much as I would like. Gosh... Just been so busy. And everytime I sign in, there's like 6-10 messages for me to read before I even do my daily chances. ! Sheez! I wonder if it was like this for Madralyn. *Stares off into space.............................................................................................................................. LOL
Well, I've gtg. OH yeah... for those who I didn't tell???? I was awarded social security last week! My first check won't come until the 2nd Wed. of the month. Bummer on that, but, hey, it's something. I guess having a lawyer the very first time is very worth it. smile
Accomplishment: I didn't have to take extra pills today! Wow......

Hey Ailsa, sure as heck missed you around here! Good to know you got a break away from home though. I can agree with you on the Twilight thing and also agree with Lindsy, go read Nightlight! Unless you're a grammar freak like me, then it might get slightly annoying and such.
Everyone:: ... Well, anyone interested. About the free health thing. While it sounds like a blessing, and I'm sure in ways it REALLY would be, especially after reading the numbers Boldie posted, it'd be a lot harder for a lot of you to be getting the doctor appointments and treatment that you're getting. I guess in simple terms: If someone hit their toe and it hurt for the rest of the day, right now they might continue to ignore it or deal with it to see if it will go away, simply because it will cost money to go in to check it out. Anyway, they probably just stubbed it. If America had free health insurance, that person might run into the doctors as soon as they possibly could, just because they know the money it would take to look at their poor toe is coming from the governments pocket, not their own. So who cares if it's most likely stubbed or not, if they have the chance to go in and make sure their darling little toe is working properly, why not??! Now if we apply that to the millions of people that live in America, you are looking at some HUGE waiting lines, taking weeks or even months to get in. Just a thought....

Wow, never thought about it like that, Kira. Good point. Yeah, and where does the or where would they get the money to pay for medical for everyone anyways? We're always helping other countries, and not our own. What a shame........My thoughts exactly... our federal state is not that rich, we keep spending and spending - but we're not gaining much capital. >.<

OG LoLo - awesome job in doing the page winner! Yay!! *shakes hand and passes over an award of awesomeness* lol I'm in a strange mood today >.<
L & Alicia - I am kinda a grammar nerd, well not kinda. I am, but I'll go and check it out. It sounds amusing. That's what I need at the moment! I have to say that I'm on Team Edward, simply because I prefer vampires than werewolves (I'm a big True Blood fan lol). Anyway, I'll go and google it and then let you know what I think XD
Oh, and Lindsey, I LOVE 500 Days Of Summer!! Matthew Gray Gubler is my favourite actor from Criminal Minds. He's amazing! I know he only had like a really small part in the movie, but it was still exciting to see him! The sound track was fantastic, too. You know the lead actress Zooey? She's the lead singer of the band She & Him. They're absolutely great. Ooo I'll find you a link. *opens up youtube*

Sorry that it's one of those tribute videos - it was the one with the best audio. Anyway, let me know if you like it >.<
Boldie, it's lovely to be back posting here, hearing from all of you, feeling a part of everything again. I knew that this Guild meant a lot to me, but it wasn't until I had to be away from it for so long that I realised it means more than that to me. It's a place where I can be myself and actually enjoy myself, no matter what my day has been like. So a big thank you to everyone for making it like this. I love you all so much! And Kira, I missed you too! I agree with your perspective on the Health Care System. Here in NZ it's free to any citizen on the country, and usually this is fine, but it means that the ED is always bursting, with a lot of patients who really could just go and see their GP instead of taking up valuable space in the hospital. The same goes for out Accident Compensation company. Some people file claims and take money from them, leaving long term patients like myself being cheated out of funding for basic things such as physio, simply because the Government's money has been spent elsewhere. I know I'm lucky to get any funding, but it does get frustrating at times!
Anyway best go, but thank you all for being my friends and support system, and the most amazing & inspirational group ever. Accomplishment: Did my physio exercises without breaking down!

Seems like I haven't been here in ages. Life gets in the way and hubby hasn't been well lately. I hate when he lies and says he is fine when I can see by his eyes that he is having a very bad day. Been a lot of those lately and I am getting really worried.
Wanted to send my hugs and prayers to all who need them. and Ailsa how many daffodils do you have so far?
