Icarus thanked Maria and slipped the pendant on. She then turned back to the railing and started to concentrate. Before she knew it she was pulled into a deep trance, suffering the parade of demons and hellish things as the formed from her hands and descended upon the humans below. And since they were illusions, the humans couldn't harm them. Icarus only hoped they'd flee soon. This was starting to make her a little... mad.

Everyone gathered on the balcony stared in wonder at the illusions descending upon the humans. Maria covered her mouth, while Benjamin put his arms around Sophia, holding her tightly. Jethrow, however, leaned against the balcony and watched the impressive power that Icarus was commanding right in front of them.

Icarus continued to send the parade of demons down upon the group. There were screams and hollers as they retreated. Soon the last one was gone and Icarus stopped her illusions, exiting the trance and going to her knees, panting hard. That took a lot out of her. But thankfully she kept her sanity even though she had to watch the procession of demons that were coming out.

Jethrow was closest to Icarus, so he knelt down beside her and put a hand on her back, making sure she was okay. The nursing student came up next, leaning down. "Are you all right?"]/color] she asked, starting to check Icarus' vitals. Benjamin came forward, as well, hovering over them all and waiting to see what would happen.

Icarus nodded some, glancing at them all and smiling a little. "Yes... I'm fine. That just took a lot out of me." she said, sitting down and leaning back on her hands.

But then the scene began to fade, and Benjamin, Jethrow, and the nurse all felt woozy. Everyone sat down, Benjamin tugging Sophia with him, and they all looked at each other. "We're heading back into the normal world," she said fretfully, worried about how everything would be when they arrived back.

Sophia sat down on Benjamin's lap, cuddling close as she felt woozy as well.
Icarus laid down and sighed a little. "Wonder... if this changed anything. Or it was just a weird dream."

Benjamin held Sophia close as they came back. The next time he opened his eyes, he found himself holding her on the couch that they'd fallen asleep on, back in normal clothes like everyone else. Jethrow looked up with a groan, having slept on the floor. He was regretting it... He rubbed his head, looking around at everyone else. "So was that a dream or are we about to find out we were never born?"

Sophia groaned a little as she woke up as well before yawning cutely. "Well... We all seem to still be here. Do you all think something will be different now from what Icarus did?"
Icarus didn't wake up. As soon as she had left the dream in the past, she was pulled into another dream, leaving her to continue sleeping curled up in the window seat.

Benjamin shrugged, glancing around. The nursing student pursed her lips and stared over Icarus through the window. There didn't seem to have been a change. She shrugged listlessly. "Probably not. Frightening them will only last so long. Perhaps the books provide a later date for the Mesilici Massacre, but I'm pretty sure it still happened." Benjamin looked over at Sophia, now that she had gotten her answer. "Looks like it's time for another meal," he said, checking his phone and finding that it was already early morning. Jethrow got up and stretched, before looking down at the sleeping form of Icarus. He sighed and picked her up. "I'll take her to her room. Seeya," he said, leaving the dusty room. [OOC:] Sorry for being MIA for a couple of days.... School just started back up.

Sophia sighed and nodded some. She then led Benjamin out of the dusty room and down to the dining hall. She was getting rather hungry anyways.
Icarus stirred softly as Jethrow picked her up, but she remained sleeping. The girl continued to sleep, content dreaming of insubstantial things, only occasionally mumbling something incoherent.

Benjamin held Sophia's hand, and when they reached the dining hall, there weren't many others there. He yawned a little more, before leading Sophia over to a booth. "I think first order of business is caffeine," he said when a waitress came by. The woman smiled and looked to Sophia for her answer.
Jethrow came to Icarus' room soon enough, and he tucked her into her bed, before heading to his own room and crashing satisfactorily.

Sophia smiled and nodded. "And some tea for me please. A few scoops of sugar." she said, smiling softly. She then leaned on Benjamin, still a bit tired.
As Icarus slept in her bed, a large raven landed on her windowsill. The bird studied her for a few moments before hopping into the room. And, as if by ancient magic, the bird changed into a human. A man with flowing black hair, wearing robes fit for an emperor. The man approached the girl, gently stroking her hair softly as she slept. "I have finally found you. After all these years..." he whispered, slipping a medallion into the girl's hand. Icarus only stirred a little, gripping it as she slept before rolling onto her side. The man smiled and pulled the warm blankets over Icarus, watching her sleep. "Sleep well, my nightingale." All this man could do was pray this moment wouldn't be interrupted.

Benjamin put his arm around Sophia as the coffee and tea were brought to them. He smiled and took a drink of the coffee, then smiled at Sophia. "Skipping class is sounding like a genuinely good idea right now."
