Zahara leaned down and looked, 'Yes she is. I knew she'd take after her mom in both temperament and appearance when she wants to." A shake of her head as Nightmare got upset. "By Lloth, chill out Nightmare. We're just taking them for a short walk. They're too little to ride but they still need to get out sometimes. Besides, I"m sure we've got something for you...somewhere..don't we Piper?" A look at the other elf and she rubbed the foal's nose gently. "She likes us. And so does he...I think."

Whoa, nightmare nipping...that was something to always be cautious of. A turn to Nightmare, petting at her nose lightly. "Hey it's okay girl." Though a look at Serino as he pawed at the ground, relaying the message as nightmare had more or less demanded of him. "We're just keeping them people oriented is all...not anything harsh I assure you girl." A pat at the tempest letting her scamper over to mom before she checked over her brother. Dual domanince Zephmares could go either way on the fang issue. "Well...you're going to have em too. Note to self, watch out for biting." Though a bag full of sugar cubes was unstrung from her belt and she tossed it to Zahara. "Always prepared."
Serino snorted lightly. Now you know Piper would never do that. If she had her way no horse would be in tack. Those foals are goign to know a good long time without the stuff...if they ever do learn it. You have to thank her on some aspects...they don't maul you for meals anymore. Indeed, Piper had taught the little things that they wouldn't starve if they weren't eating constantly. And you'll be glad for that when next season comes...now what did he mean by that?

Zahara snatched the bag out of the air and looped it through the spot in her skirt. Giving one cube to each foal and saving the rest for later though she did produce an apple for Serino out of nowhere. A pat to the adult Zephyr, he was so sweet. Though she couldn't understand what he was saying with the noise of the wind, sometimes she wished she could. "Here you go Serino, a bribe of sorts and we'll have to give something to Nightmare to appease her as well." A few more pats and then she turned to the foals and Piper, "are we ready to go?"

Sugar! What was the deal with thier teeth though? They liked thier little srpouting fangs...made games more fun. They could chew stuff now too! Their particular favorite chewtoys were the horizontal running boards in teh stalls. All chewed up. But happy little nickers from them both at thier sugar, they loved it. They also loved being outside...because they got to explore! Where do we get to go today?!
Serino nickered inquistively. Apple? You have another one? Are you trying to get on my good side? Because last I checked you were there. Thus he took the apple from her, chopping on it and downing it in two bites. I'm liking this deal. Though a look to Piper. Any chance of us playing fetch today? You have to work that shoulder of yours and I like to play.
Piper gave another pet to Nightmare. "I'll make sure you get something special. Whatever you like from the kicthen." A little giggle. "Make sure you choose something that's supposed to be main meal so Malik won't make me eat it. Can't eat what's not there." Than a look to Zahara...hm...where to take them. "We can take them down by the water today."

"Ah she's being devious. I'm so proud of you." A hug to PIper and then she turned back to the foals. Lloth she loved these guys. They made her day seem brighter, even in the Underdark and she just loved spending time wiht them. She could be carefree and laugh and act silly if she wanted. Drow were just too brooding for their own good. Always upset, always fighting, there was really nothign good about life to them. They used violence in place of fun and humiliation in place of entertainmnent. She was much happier out of that life now. Another pat to the little mare and she nodded, "Alright but I'm going with this little sweetheart. You get the boy." And Zahara clicked her tongue soflty to the mare. "We need to name them, don't we?"

"Hey now why are we callign horses?" A little chuckle before she pet at the armor one, making the fire tipped ends of his mane rise in the air and dance a little. Though a blink and a shake of her head. "No, we don't name them. Most people don't know and I guess drow wouldn't be keen on it. Most horses name themselves or thier parents name them, just like us. I've never named a horse, they've always told me thier names. Ramoth and Serino get to decide that particular thing." Slow walking though, fast enough to keep a good time on their traveling, but slow enough to let the little foals explore and for parents to lazily keep up. After all, the walk was downhill...
We're gonna go see water, we're gonna go see water, we're-hey...what's water anyway? Isn't it that clear stuff? I thought that was air? No the other clear stuff that moves and makes things dark when it touches it. Ooooh that clear stuff. A little skidding of hooves...whoa the ground is funny here. I think it tipped over...can ground tip over? You can tip over, why not it? Only when you push me...you push first! Head bonk, skidding, stumbling a little by both.

"Ah well you can understand Serino, I can't so that's your department to find out about." She walked along, watching their surroundings to make sure nothign was going to surprise them, after all they were still in the Underdark and that couldn't be forgotten. Zahara shook her head, "Hey Piper, can you see anything on my forehead? That b*****d put a rune on me and I dont' think he's taken it off yet." She rubbed the spot the rune had been suddenly feeling it itch. "He better have taken it off or I'm not goign to be happy." she muttered under her breath. But she kept right on walking. Water, now where was the water again? By Lloth it would help if sh eknew where she were going, but she didn't. A little laugh at teh foals playing. Cuteness was in the air.

Nightmare snorted lightly at Serino. You are too easy sometimes. But took to following after the foals, she ad no intention of eating any main meals from Malik's table. She did, however, have something in mind. something small and furry and liked to steal. that would be an appropriate sacrifice for her good graces. damn ferret taking her good shoes.

I'm not easy...I'm just laid back. It would do you some good to be laid back. So Piper...about that fetch? Seriously now, any chance? Though the names issue had already spiked his interest. He had a few in mind...though he saved his strictly for the tempest...seeing as the other foal was technicaly Malik's...that was something he'd let Nightmare handle. She could tell Malik what to call the armor and get little guff about it.
She waved her hand a little dismissively at Serino. "Yes yes, we'll play fetch. You have your points. Don't rush yourself on names dears." Then a look back at Zahara as she skidded on her boots to where the slope evened out. "Nope I don't see anything...but let me check. Serino, make sure they don't go too deep in that water...Underdark things in there you know..." And she walked up to Zahara, holding up two fingers in front of her. "But I can check...this may be a little uncomfortable." Thus she concentrated a little it seemed, staring at Zahara. The dorw would feel an odd sensation on her forehead as a rune revealed itself to Piper. "Yup, there's one there...hm...that's what we call a rope rune." A blink at Zahara dropping her hand. "I'm sure I can ask Malik to tell Sevilin to dispell it..."
Serino snorted, walking to the water and over it out to a certain point. Nope, they weren't going to go past this point...got too deep past where he was standing and that's where things lurked too. Well come on you two, it's jsut water.
They blinked at the water as they tumbled in a pile of themselves to it's edge. Pawing and snorting at it some with inquisitive nickers at the stuff. Hey look...the water bubbles when I step on it! When I step on it it hisses like those long things that mom doesn't want us playing with.

Zahara stood very still while Piper checked and then she felt fury build. "A rope rune? What in the name of Lloth does the damn thing do?" Oh she was going to kill Sevilin. Or beat him very bloody wiht his own damn polearm. Stupid Drow. Putting a rune on her and then not taking it off and not telling her waht it did. She swore that if she randomly started getting jerked around or something strange she was going to gut him and feed his entrails to Nightmare if she'd even take them. A glance at the water and playing foals and Zahara took a seat on the ground pulling up her knees and resting her arms on them. They could be there for a while.

"Well...basically...think invisible rope. Usually it's not used on people...then again I've never met a drow rune mage so I suspect he puts his to a lot more uses than the surface elves do. But yeah...it's basically like a rope...with a grappling hook sort of style to it. Functions just like a normal rope would except it really...doesn't exist..." Okay so it was a little hard to explain and sounded funny. Meanwhile she pulled was stretching her arms above her head, working out her shoulder some. "It's one of the twelve essential runes that my mother taught me about."

"Wait a minute, are you telling me that that jackass has me on an invisible rope that he could jerk at any moment he chooses to?" Oh hell no. She'd kill him, downright slice off his head and anything else she chose to. "He wont' remove it until he's ready to do so and we both know that Malik isn't going to make him." She contemplated the ground for a moment. "Probably thinks I deserve it for starting a fight this morning. I daresay I was already 'punished' so to speak when he yanked on my collar. Remind me again why I willingly gave him that power? Because I had a momentary lapse of insanity?"

Foals were flank deep in water by this point and having quite the fun about it too. Every now and then they'd swim/run back to a more shallow part and water battle it out between them. Splashing was a very very very fun past time activity. Especialy when you got everyone else wet.
She nodded. "Pretty much yes." Though a sly smile. "You're talking to the woman who talked him out of fifty slaves and a horse trade. I could at least try to work it in your favor if Sevilin refuses to do it. The thing about men is that you have to know how to work them while they see the benifits in their agreements with you. Isn't that right Ramoth?" A little giggle as she pulled her bow around, cringing a little as it was held up and an arrow notched, sent off in some random direction for Serino to fetch. Gods she loved the range on this thing. "It was a good idea at the time?"

"What? Make him think it was his idea?" Now this concept was entirely new to Zahara. She'd been taught to tell the man what he was goign to do, if he refused, whip him and repeat. That's how men were brought around to her way of thinking in the past. Tell, whip, repeat. A simple system and one that usually only took two or three times before it finally worked. And of course once it worked once or twice, it tended to work in the future as well. But this presented an interesting dilemma. How would one go about changing a man's way of thinking without using violence and ismply using age old tactics. "That's ingenious! Who came up wtih taht idea?" Oh yes, Zahara was warming up to this new thought process very quickly. She waved off the comments about her collar, "I think I'm goign to have to try some of your ideas Piper, they truly are fascinating."

She chuckled at that, looking back to Zahara, holding her bow in one hadn while the other rubbed at her shoulder. Ow, that still really hurt. "Make them think it was thier idea, promise them some form of enjoyment, a favor, a bribe. Sometimes men are easily manipulated through the sheer actions and motions of treating them well." Then it hit her, this was a new thing for Zahara. "It's an old trick women learned. We know men often outweight and over power us. Rather than beating them to a pulp into submission, we merely bring them to compliance with gentle easing of tempers and ego boosting." Oh yes, women could be devious when they knew how to do it well.
