I flunked high school introductory Spanish three times. I also failed most of my English grammar classes even though I speak English! The Spanish I do know is from Dora the Explorer... oh I can say bathroom, lol. Thats pretty important right? I want to learn Japanese! Aside from English that is the language I know most of but I am far from being any where near fluent.

I would love to retake french. I took four years of it, but have lost the ability to recall what I have learned. So.. yeah.. more classes would be great. Being in a place now where what I need to do is get self sufficient again for me and my son and pay off my debt, I probably won't be paying for any classes in the next few years. sigh it will all happen when it is supposed to, I am sure. smile

Exxos Sorry girls... sweatdrop I think it is just the way I was brought up. I have had drilled into me from the day I was born that men are worthless and pride is the gravest of sins - especially for a man. Because if a man has pride, he has something of worth. Mom, and even dad and the rest of my family apart from my great aunt and little sister, made sure I knew I was a worthless failure and that I could not have pride while being a failure like I am. I am trying to get better. It is just some things are more deeply engrained than others. I think it will take not just getting over the bad stuff but actually practicing the good stuff. Things like letting yourself accept a compliment by simply saying "thank you" smile And then biting your tongue (no not literally) so you don't diminish it. wink Wanna practice? Exxos - I think you are smart and fun, and you have an awesome sense of humor! now say thank you. (and nothing else) wink (yes I believe the compliment and no it doesnt matter if you don't believe it wink )

I used to always disagree with my husband when he'd tell me I was pretty or some other compliment. Finally he asked me why I always had to do that - it made him feel bad, like I thought his opinion didn't matter. I still have trouble with it myself- it's so easy to add in a little extra something to diminish it a little. lol It gets better though - and it sure helps to hang around people who think the best of you rather than people that need to put you down in order to keep themselves a little higher.
