I Guess that I just naturally have a very high metabolism. I've always been rail thin. Everything I tried to do to gain weight failed. I finally did gain weight when I got on birth control last year. However, my insurance canceled and it was to expensive to stay on the pill if I wasn't having sex, so I stopped and now the weight went away again. It prolly went down even lower than it was before the pill because now I regularly walk over 2 miles 2 or 3 times a week, in addition to work.

Solution: eat more high-energy foodstuffs, like grains and fruits and proteins! And drink water. Seems to help me when my metabolism's on the run.

What he said or you can always switch your diet to eating mainly pastry-type food. Rolls can put a bit of weight on you after a while.

My Mom and I have tried using weight gainer supliments that you mix with milk. Each shake when made with milk had over 2,000 calories. We drank two a day, except we made ours with ice cream because it tasted better and added even more calories. Neither of us gained any weight.

Not really a recommended way to gain weight, but supposedly stress might add weight. Don't know why. Just something I heard from discovery channel or somewhere.

Some people are just naturally thin, like myself. Not like there's anything extremely wrong with it. I'm plenty healthy and haven't had any complications.
Though if you really want to put on weight, building muscle would be way more beneficial than just piling on calories.

He does have a point. I just think that my version of thin is too extreme. In my opinion I look anorexic. I don't think building muscle will hide my ribs though, will it? Not to mention that I have a heart condition so overly strenuous activities are frowned upon. When I was a kid I wasn't even allowed to jump xp

Can see where Hero is coming from, but that would mean she would be losing even more calories at a time. Also, muscles takes a bit longer ( thinking shape-wise ) to build than fat. I'm guess by a few months.

I filled into my frame more by running, lifting, and being active instead of lounging around and eating Frito's. But whatev. I can't expect everyone to react the same way I did.
Still, you don't burn nearly as many calories as you think you do when working out.

I just always thought working out would slim a person down more than bulk them up. I know I'd weigh more because muscle is denser than fat, but I also though it would slim you at the same time.
