LillianFair18 Demented Lamb LillianFair18 I know only enough spanish to say I don't speak spanish...in spanish. I can understand a few words in spanish... but I cant speak it. I feel weird when some family members try and speak to me in spanish and I cant talk back lol. I just look at them and smile lol Alot of people think I'm hispanic...but I"m half italian. So either I have Hispanic customers coming up to me and speaking Spanish ...or someone is asking me to translate. I took 2 classes of Spanish in high school...and my school was bad...so I didn't learn very much. Well I got a little hispanic in me.. but not much. So everyone things I should know spanish... only a few select words as I said though lol. Maybe I should learn it and surprise everyone one day.

Exxos Lilygwen Joo, kyllä mäkin suomea osaan jos aletaan kielillä puhumaan! xd I tried to study spanish but then the school didn't provide anything but only one starting course of it so I pretty much only know the numbers. Hmmm... my Finnish is not so good... Something about asking if you can decline a tight-lipped parlance or parley through rough marshes? Umm... not quite. xd So you've studied german quite a lot?

Enough to get by. Though most of the brain damage I have is in the language areas of my brain, so I have lost more than I would like to admit. I use to be a fair linguist, now I have a tendency to yip and then fall asleep mid-sentence when speaking.

Exxos Enough to get by. Though most of the brain damage I have is in the language areas of my brain, so I have lost more than I would like to admit. I use to be a fair linguist, now I have a tendency to yip and then fall asleep mid-sentence when speaking. I would like to be linquist but I don't have enough time to start studying anything extra. The english and swedish are compulsory languages that we need to study in school.

French is hard because the method is retarded. A lot of focusing on the locations of pencils and chairs and things...

Both would be fun now its time to decide what one to do!

Before the incident, I was fluent in English, German, and Dutch - as well as a few fictional languages as my late GM insisted that if you took a language in character, you had to actually speak it. I could get by in about twenty other languages and knew a smattering of a couple dozen more. Now, I am fluent in English most of the time, as I still run into times when my ability to communicate fails, and can more or less get by in German. If it is easy enough, I can function in Dutch. But except for Huttese and Drow, I have a lot of problems these days. sad

I've always thinked that German is like yoda language because it goes bit backwards aswell. xd
edit: @Exxos. That's really a shame. To loose all that great knowledge because of some incident.

I think it is just the way I was brought up. I have had drilled into me from the day I was born that men are worthless and pride is the gravest of sins - especially for a man. Because if a man has pride, he has something of worth. Mom, and even dad and the rest of my family apart from my great aunt and little sister, made sure I knew I was a worthless failure and that I could not have pride while being a failure like I am.
I am trying to get better. It is just some things are more deeply engrained than others.
