"Both of you were signed up. You didn't know? Maybe Benjamin took care of you guys when he signed up." Benjamin heard this and almost fell of his ladder. "My name better not be on that list!" he shouted down at Jethrow and Icarus. The vampire caught sight of the boy's name and shrugged. "Cultural night first, amigo."

Icarus fumed and snarled, rubbing her head, starting to feel a headache coming on. She grumbled and sighed, wondering what the hell she was going to do for tonight. After a bit of annoyed thinking, she decided she'd creep out the entire student body. That would be good revenge.

"Here," the nursing student said, handing Icarus, Jethrow, and Benjamin little pills before swallowing one herself. "A headache is natural. I found out this morning," she said shrugging. Jethrow eyed the list, trying to figure out which name was hers.... Because nobody knew her name! Benjamin was doing the same thing, but neither figured it out.

Icarus took the pill, then looked to the girl. Then she asked the blunt question. "Seriously, what's your name?" she asked, looking to the student. As she talked, she was mentally forming her plans for the night and what else might lay ahead.

The girl raised her eyebrows and glanced at the set list. "I'll give you a hint: It's not Icarus." And with that, she walked off the stage, headed somewhere and seemingly disappearing. Benjamin and Jethrow groaned at the same time. "She's....Can I knock her around the head?" he asked. Benjamin shrugged and went back to work on other stuff.

Icarus also groaned abut went off to work as well and get what she needed together for her own performance. She sighed as she tried to wrap her head around all this and getting up in front of other people.
After a few hours, students started filing into the auditorium for the show. Icarus was sitting backstage, puffing a cigarette out of her own nervousness. She knew what she was going to do, but she was actually a bit intimidated to do this.

They'd separated the girls from the boys backstage in order for people to get ready. And it was clear that some people really took this seriously. But the nursing student sitting near Icarus' feet was just combing through her red hair with her fingers and staring at the floor, clearly bored.
Benjamin and Jethrow were waiting on the other side of the stage, bored as well. Jethrow was rocking back and forth on two chair legs, staring out at the crowd. He was in his usual get up: Black jeans, black t-shirt, and a pair of black wrist bands. Benjamin wore a button-down and some dark jeans, but otherwise didn't look any different. He was a little worried. Music wasn't exactly his thing, and he didn't want to look like a bumbling fool in front of Sophia.

Icarus continued her nervous habit until the cigarette was gone. She then grumbled and threw the butt away before sitting back down. She then looked to the nursing student. "Got any idea who's going when?" she asked, swallowing silently.

The girl shrugged and leaned back against the wall. "They said they're just going to announce your song name and you go out on stage. It's for the element of surprise. Which is why they wouldn't let people pick duplicate songs." She yawned a little, shaking her bangs from her eyes as the lights on stage dimmed. They announced the first song, and a Korean girl got on stage as the beat to a sickeningly cheerful pop song came through the speakers.

Icarus had to cover her ears to shield them from the performance. "I wish they would have screened these people to see who could actually sing..." she complained before standing up. "I might as well get my stage clothes on. Got to be prepared knowing this school." With that, Icarus retreated to a dressing room to block out the noise and get changed.

The nurse shrugged, smoothing her ripped black and red plaid skirt. She didn't particularly care for dressing up, and she was actually wearing her only skirt...
Then, they announced: "Hot Wings." And Benjamin grimaced. It sounded absolutely stupid when announced like that, but Jethrow shoved him hard onto the stage, and he had no choice but to face the crowd and feel stupid. By the end of the song, though, everyone seemed fine... It appeared they liked the song, and he sighed in relief when he was backstage again.

Sophia had been sitting in the crowd, watching the other performances. They were all unbearably dull until she recognized Benjamin on stage. She smiled and enjoyed his song. It was so bouncy and upbeat! She couldn't help but clap loudly.
Icarus soon returned to the student, dressed in a priestess outfit. The haori was a pure ivory white while the hakama were an imperial red. She also had two fans in one hand and a kitsune mask in the other. "Hey there. Didn't keep you waiting too long did I?" she asked, sitting back by the girl.

The nurse looked up and raised her eyebrows. "You look really nice. Probably the only person who actually dressed culturally," she said, smiling. They announced another song and some guy went on stage. He was okay, but the song choice wasn't great.

Icarus shrugged some and setting her fans aside and polishing the mask with her sleeve. "I don't think half the people here knows what culturally means." she said before putting the mask aside and making sure the fans opened and closed properly and easily.

The girl shrugged and pulled her knees up to her chest. "Hey Jude." Jethrow groaned from where he was leaning against the wall and started to shuffle on stage. "Why a Beatles song?" Benjamin asked. Jethrow shrugged as he left. "Grew up in Britain." So, he went on stage and sang a Beatles song.
