...................Shush.
Right, that one.
Seems good... come to think of it, it's VERY good.... to be honest, I hadn't even thought of a loot system- I was just thinking of letting the player open a chest of take stuff he finds on a corpse...
but in retrospect, that's a VERY horrible idea. sweatdrop

If someone were dumb enough to even conceive of something REMOTELY like tat, I would invent a device to allow me to reach over the internet and stab them in the throat with a steak knife. >.>

I'd just want to punch them so hard, their children are born bruised.
I want the ability to summon Oblivion Gates when I belch. That's okay, right? If I roll 2-20 on a d20? On a 1 it's a Greater Gate.

Still working on my thread. Got a few more things to put in there. I'm thinking I may start a seperate thread for discussion, just to keep this one free'd up in case I get more ideas or something.

That's because she's been studying for mid-terms and such. Being in college for something like acting AND taking Chinese as a language can't be easy.

LeonDecimus It's not stat based at all. It's rank based. I fail to see what you mean. Instead of giving levels, faction rank can determine the effectiveness of a character. Common sense dictates that someone trained exlusively by a guild that focuses on a certain skill set, would be better. The system you have would lead to overpowering the characters from the jump. I want people to grow into their positons. What's the point of being an Arch-Magus if some Evoker has a better set than you? We could simply have an unaffiliated guild. Which sounds ironic. Basically same system applies to them and they are given ghost ranks at the same rate as people in the factions. They could pick a spec: Combat, Stealth or Magic and use those skills to pick from in the event of advancement. I'm just not a fan of giving out a bunch of skills from the start. This is what I intended for the guild. I wanted ranks to imply a person's abilities without having to set stats in stone so-to-speak.

Sorry I haven't been on much guildies; I have been busy with school and family stuff.
As for the whole being demoted thing, I also think it's for the best. I've been too busy to be any help as a leader anyway.

Damn all of you for making me read through three pages of intelligent brainstorming! Obviously I'm just kidding. But I am back! After five tests and major test recovery as well as an AFC and NFC football championship I am back and plan on keeping it that way until my next huge batch of tests pop up. Anyways here's my input.
1. This whole guild was originally supposed to be an extensive mediaeval roleplay set in the Elder Scroll's world of Cyrodill (post-Oblivion events) which is why, while I think somewhat of a system is okay, I'm really quite hesitant to set stats in stone because then that could grow into a battle system which I really don't want. 2. I know it didn't really come off this way but I wanted the Arena to feel like it's own thing, as if it were technically on the guild list but not really a guild. 3. I'd really like you guys to post your leave requests. That's not just there to make us look fancy and organized. If someone is already gone and you know they are, just put up a leave request for them. I don't like the post limit seeming invisible. I'd like it to actually have somewhat of an affect although honestly the guild is too small right now. When it expands rules will become stricter.
