Hotaru looked at him. "First, why?" He leaned against the wall, crossing his arms across his chest. "I'm not one to sell my friends out like that. Not without good reasons." He gave a shrug, and sighed. "Sorry, but I've got my own set of rules I follow."

Hotaru laughed. "You make it sound like I wasn't thrown against a building trying to protect her already. I may not be the smartest, but I am damn loyal. I'd give my life gladly to protect the people I care about." He gave a shrug, and pushed himself against the wall. "That's why if anything happens to all of you, I'm setting everything they call home ablaze." His tone cold as the steel in Leon's gunblade. "And for what it's worth, she heard me talking about the prank, and volunteered."

He shook his head. "Sorry, but if she wants to leave, I'm not going to stop her. Everyone has to decide on their own path to walk." He sighed. "My mother taught me that much." And with that, he started to leave, ignoring the fact that, this was the first time he mentioned having any memories prior to Leon finding him in that cave.

Hotaru gave another sigh as he closed the door behind him. "Mother..." His eyes were unfocused as he lost himself in a memory. Father....mother.....you knew we had to walk different paths......but....can I walk this one, knowing were it ends....?" He closed his eyes just as tears were about to start running. "dammit..." He muttered under his breath, leaning against the door to Merlin's.

((And sadly this will be my last post for the evening, my mom apparently wants to be the first to buy me a drink on my 21st....so I shall be back tomorrow morning!))

((Wait, then it's your birthday! Why didn't you say anything! Now I have barely anytime to do something for you!!))

Zero had moved from her roof and so Anna was left to sit there deciding if she should find her or just so back. But truthfully, her mind wasn't on that decision. Her arms were wrapped around her knees and and she was smiling up at the sky as she was recalling the recent prank. Around him it was easier for her to remember. Memories that were so fuzzy suddenly became crystal clear and she could recall all the feelings that the years after had numbed. But with these happy and pleasant memories also came the sting which would leave her breathless. It felt someone jabbing a sword through her heart, but she thought that if she just kept them as tiny little secret windows in the very back of her mind with the discarded cob webs, then she would be fine. She stood up and started making her back to Merlins, figuring Zero would show up there sometime.

((Ichy......I LOVE IT!!! Also, I don't find much excitement, or need to do anything special for birthday's personally, hence the not telling, and today is the birthday day. She wanted to get me drunk at midnight. haha, she's a funny mom like that))

Hotaru shook his head. "Dammit" Was all he muttered as he pushed himself off the door. "I shouldn't even be worrying about this......I mean, haven't I decided anyone who gets in my way gets cut down?" He gave a sigh, as he started making his way from Merlin's, only to punch one of the walls, cracking it nicely. "Some family I've got....." he muttered before turning to walk out of town. "Gotta get some place private to think....otherwise....." He sighed again, holding back some tears.

Anna arrived at Merlins house after Hotaru had already left and Zero had already entered the house. She stopped in front of the door before entering and looked up at the house. Her face was blank as she stared up at it and what she was thinking would be anyone's guess. Finally she took a deep breath and looked back down at the door before opening it.

(( biggrin I'm glad you like it. And it's you're birthday! All birthday's deserve to be celebrated because it's another year the world was bless to have you. Except when it comes to my birthday, we can just destroy that date in time all together.))

((Because growing old scares me to death. Don't get me wrong, the world is blessed to have me for another year too, I mean how could it not, I'm superiorly modest remember? And when I'm 75 I'll probably be prancing around flaunting my age and asking everyone how jealous they are of me, but since I'm still young enough to cling tooth and nail onto childhood, I am, unfortunately I am losing the fight. And that's why the world can forget about my birthday.))

Just about when Anna was going to enter she stopped, noticing something strange. Hotaru wasn't there. She could tell because Merlin was happily humming. She recognized the song. It was an oddly tuned folk song about pickled frog legs and wheat grass. Anna began to wonder about where Hotaru could be and she closed the door without entering the house. She began to look around and found a nice, recent crack on a side of the wall. Her hand lightly stroked it and she whispered Hotaru's name. She searched around her for any sign of people, which there was not. A glass ball then rolled up to her and she sighed as she picked it up. 'I really shouldn't be spying on him like this' she thought and then closed her eyes. The memory of Hotaru crashing into a wall flashed on her eyelids and she immediately looked intently into the ball. She put the ball down and as it rolled away she set off.

Merlin, while happily humming his strange folk song, stumbled upon Zero. "Ah, Zero. I'm glad you're here. I heard you're the other wielder."
