Bornes was still drunk, but not quite as drunk as before... He was at that midway point between drunk and tipsy, teetering on being sober enough to really have what had just happened weigh on his conscience.
His eyes were open lazily, watching Isiah's chest, one of his fingers playing idly with a n****e piercing. He looked up at Isiah's face when he spoke. "Mmmh?" was his response.
The question didn't quite register. He laid his head back down on Isiah's chest, saying softly, "At Sundown, I thought." He lazily flicked the piercing again until the realization came over him. It was dark already. He didn't know when sundown had been. Hopefully only minutes a go. "Oh shi--" He pushed himself up hurriedly, trying to get off Isiah, but forgot abotu Isiah's leg being over his own, causing him to fall off the bed and onto the ground with a thud. He hissed at his own stupidity but quickly got back back up, dusted himself off as best he could and fingercombed his hair out so it didn't look as bad as... it did... and willed himself into some type of sobriety.
He turned to Isiah, patting himself off again. "Do I look okay?" Stupid question. He growled at himself.
He waited for the answer anyway, but his toes were twitching so he could run off.

Isiah rolled over onto his side, chuckling lightly as he fell onto the floor, reaching out to help him up- but his drunkeness made it a little too slow. "You look fine," he said with a wide grin, resting his head on his hand, his other arm splayed underneath him to hang off of the cot.

"Good," he said. "I have to go," he rushed, turning on his heel, stumbling slightly, but then jogging out of the home and toward the well as fast as he could without hurting himself... Which didn't end up being that fast.
But, he finally got to the well, stumbling slightly once more as he went to stop by the well. He figured he should get something to drink before he went for the walk, and tried to quickly put the bucket down into the well and bring it back up. He wanted to drink it as fast as possible, so he wouldn't look like a mooch drinking water with Kaegan outside watching.

Kaegan's foodsteps hadn't arrived just yet, but there was a familiar pitter patter of four paws, followed by a low, gutteral growl. The newly named Jane stood about ten feet off from the well, her head low, her ruff extended, lip curled upward.
Kaegan appeared a moment later, giving Jane a funny look. "Girl, what's the problem?.."

Bornes quickly drank what was in the bucket, gulping loudly with water dripping down his chin. The dog walked up and growled at him.
Bornes brought the bucket down and hid it behind him, his hand still holding it on the lip of the well, as if the dog would steal it from him.
His green eyes looked directly into the dog's and he gave an open mouthed growl. Who do you think you are to growl at me?! was what Bornes' body language said as his tail began to raise.
Then Kaegan came in. Bornes abruptly ceased the growl and preoccupied himself with resetting the bucket to where it belonged, before facing Kaegan, trying to play innocent.

Kaegan gave Jane a strange look, reaching down to tug on her ruff. She stopped growling, ears resting against the back of her head, tail tucked beneath her before going to hide behind his legs. "What's gotten into you, girl?" He repeated, turning his head to look over his shoulder with a sigh, rolling his eyes, exasperated.
"You're late," he began. "Get into that gin a little too much?"

Bornes brought his hands up in a hmph. "Well what did you expect?" he groaned sardonically.
"You have bad timing. I would've waited but Isiah was very pushy!" That was a bold faced lie, but it seemed convincing enough. Bornes was no stranger to lying. He wouldn't fudge it up like Kaegan had earlier.
"Bad timing to deliver," he further explained, crossing his arms over his chest. "But thank you, it was good."
He shifted his weight and looked toward Jane, his tail not completely fallen to its limp position yet, but it was on its slow descent. "This is Jane? Isiah has been calling it Kaie."

Kaegan laughed a little. "I'm glad you liked it. Took me and Tsurai a few tries to get it right." He looked behind him to the still cowering Kaie, shaking his head back and forth before pulling a crumpled, hand drawn map on faded printer paper. Work with what you got. He smoothed it out on the rim of the well, pointing to it's center. "This is where we are.. Me and Jane found some good stuff here," he pointed about fifteen miles north. "And here. Old food service storage. I figure there has to be something nearby- a kitchen. No reason to be storing all of that without a kitchen. And in a kitchen you have gas- if it's an upscale one." He folded the paper up and handed it to him. "So you can sniff around for that if you like. I'd offer her to you but it doesn't seem like she'll be much help."

He turned and looked intently at the map as Kaegan laid it out for him, trying to pay attention, as he was still quite inebriated. His mind wanted to wander elsewhere.
Sniff it out? he quirked a brow.
Finally it clicked. Kaegan thought he had a nose like a dog. Bornes had excellent eye sight and hearing and.. Maybe taste.. Probably not taste, since he had been smoking for so long now, but he definately only had a normal nice.
He didn't want to say anything. He shouldn't. He needed this, and didn't need a damn nose to do a job. Kaie/Jane could probably smell as far as Bornes could see so it would work out.
The hybrid looked toward the dog, then to Kaegan again. "Eh, we have walked together before, I am sure she just doesn't like how I smell." That was a lit too, although he did smell of alcohol with a small side dish of sex, slathered over with tobacco gravy. He glared to Kaie/Jane, and let out a chuff. It seemed to say You will come with me.

Jane in response released another quiet, tiny, but menacing growl, her lip twitching. Kaegan reached behind him to clock her over the head, frowning. "Jane! Knock it off!" She continued whimpering, staring at Q from between Kaegan's knees. "What is your ISSUE?"

Bornes chuckled as Jane was flogged. Afterward, he put his left hand in his pocket, leaving his right free.
"We didn't get along very well before we came here," he explained to Kaegan.
"But that has changed now," he added, giving another glare to Jane, trying to intimidate her. "Right?" he insisted, tot he dog.

Jane folded her ears back with disdain, finally stalking from around Kaegan's legs. Every part of her body language screamed fear. She wwalked two steps toward Q, stopping before turning back to look at Kaegan woefully before starting off at a quick trot out of town. Kaegan chuckled a little. "You'd better hurry, she's gonna leave you behind."

Bornes watched as Jane trotted off, then turned to Kaegan, his left hand shooing a dismissal. "I can catch up with her easily enough. Can I have a bag, a knife, and the map?"

Kaegan nodded, jogging back into his home to grab what he asked for, handing it to him one at a time. "All yours. Happy hunting, okay?"
He folded his arms, watching Jane run off into the distance until she was a dot, where she stopped, turning back to watch, her ears half perked.

Bornes went to hook the knife onto his belt when he realized he didn't have a belt anymore and scowled, tossing it in the bag along with the map. "Thank you. I will see you in a few hours."
He jogged off toward Jane to catch up, the bag in his right hand. Once he reached the dog he began to walk, but it was at a decent pace.
"All right dog. I am sorry I gave you such a hard time before, but I'm over it now. Okay?" Still quite inebriated, apparently.
