Adam stood up and walked in front of Brody, "She is not leaving". Turning around he grabbed Alyce's wrist and stared at her.
Alyce glared up at him and hissed, "Let me go Adam, I'm not staying to wait for him...".

Brody growled a little. "Let go of her." He took a few steps to intervene. "She'll do what she wants."

Adam let go of her and said quietly, "Fine go, but when you get back you'll deal with him, not me". Walking away he stopped at the door and looked back at Brody smirking. Shaking his head he walked out.
Alyce sighed and looked up at Brody when Adam left, "I'm sorry". Hurrying up she grabbed the things she needed and stood next to him.

"This is NOT your fault, Alyce." Brody said, looking out the door. "You won't be coming back here for awhile... do you have everything you need or want?" He carefully took the bag of her belongings she was holding.
"You're going to have to explain who 'he' is though, I'm afraid..."

"Still have to come back eventually...", Alyce sighed. "I got everything I need", she said as he took her bag. "Yea okay...later maybe?", she asked staring up at him.

"I didn't think you wouldn't have to... but you're not coming back alone... Maybe next time both Graham and I will come..." Brody put his arm around her shoulders and walked out of the house with her. "Of course, whenever you'd like. Come on, let's go to the house..." He tried to hide his anger around her, although he was still pissed at Adam. He wouldn't have thrown the first punch.. unless Adam had dared hurt Alyce. Brody didn't put up with that kind of thing. He and his brother had been raised to be gentlemen and that wasn't going to change anytime soon.

Adam sat on the couch as they left and waved, "Have fun".
Alyce looked up at him and said, "You guys don't have to. I can handle myself...". She felt a embarrassed and didn't want anyone to worry. Ignoring Adam, she walked with Brody and sighed thinking, How do I even start to tell him...This is too complicated...

"On the way back we'll have to pick up my car..." Brody mentioned as they started running. "Seth is at the house so I have to act all....human." After being so careful all day, it felt good to do vampire things again.

They reached Brody's car not only a few minutes later. He clicked the remote and the doors unlocked. He opened the passenger's side for Alyce, setting her bag in the back seat. Brody walked around the front end and opened his door getting in too. He looked over at Alyce, being able to see her perfectly even though it was dark. "You alright?"

Brody smiled too. "You're welcome. Feel free to stay as long as you'd like, ok?" The car was already in motion, and they were traveling down the highway. "I was worried about you..."
