Shinja's mouth dropped as his past replayed itself.
The man in the crown rushed two of the twelve men, horizontally cutting straight through them. The blood of the two splattered everywhere. He then spun around, killing four more in the process. In a matter of seconds, the man killed half-a-dozen men.
Before he had a chance to lift the massive blade for another strike, two men took a few steps forward while firing shots from their gunblades, which looked more like ancient pistols with a blade attached. The man swiftly executed a frontflip, dodging some of the shots while deflecting the rest with his giant sword. As he fell back to the earth, he lifted the blade behind his head and slammed it down on one of the gunners. Before the second gunner could fire a shot, the man bent backwards with his blade in his hands, cutting the gunner clean in half. He then stood back up before finishing the job on the first gunner, whose blood shot into the air.
A few drops splattered on the young boy's face.
The crowned man, whose face was still calm as could be, lunged at two of the remaining soldiers and stabbed his katana straight through both of them before turning it so that it was horizontal and slicing through them, killing the last two as he spun around with the sword.
The leader of the 12-man army had an evil smirk on his face as he stepped forward. From within his long, black cloak, he brandished a blade similiar to the crowned man's. The two looked each other in the eyes before lunging at each other.
For almost five minutes, the two clashed katana until finally, the cloaked man sent a kick to the crowned man's chest, sending him skidding backwards onto the ground. The cloaked man mouthed a few muted words before thrusting his massive sword at the crowned man.
Before the blade could hit him, the tanned woman in white stepped in front of him.
His blade slid through her stomach as if she was almost nothing, her blood splattering on the crowned man's clothes.
Tears fell from his eyes as he stood up and charged at the cloaked man. Too emotional to fight, he was easily overtaken as the cloaked man thrusted the blade into his stomach as well. Before the crowned man's eyes could go dead, everything disappeared except for the young boy, who was still wide-eyed and petrified from the blood on his face, which also disappeared.
Meanwhile, in the dark room next to Maki's, tears fell from Shinja's eyes as he fell to his knees.
