The girls lips parted slightly, but her uttered not a word as she simply began to follow the woman closly, not letting go of her cloak as she toddled after her. Her blond hair was spindly from being unwashed, tied back with a pink ribbon which was creased and slightly stained, her face grubby as well, the loose clothing wasn't hers, but the ribbon and shoes were hers.

The sack klinked once or twice more until she settled it across her small shoulders, she wasn't going to part with it either. Remaining silent, she said nothing more even to share her name with the woman.

Ryushi nodded noncommitally to Eithne, giving Eithne a quizzical look. The look had no small level of impatience, and quite clearly asked, "Well, will that be all?"

In fact, he voiced the same question but a second later, not making an effort to keep the feeling that he would rather be anywhere else out of his voice when he asked, "Well, will that be all?" As he spoke, he pulled his hands into this sleeves, and cross his arms underneath the cloth.

He was lucky no higher priests had come to watch over him yet, or he'd have received a cuff over the head for his tone.

Eithne merely smiled from behind her scarfs as she turned back towards the acolyte and withdrew a second vial, pulling out the cork and beginning to fill it as well.

"You must be a very honourable child, very keen to impress your elders." She didn't go onto explain how she came to this conclusion, wanting to see his reaction to the statement first. Clearly, he seemed to amuse her.

Celestra took the child with her.
Getting her some better comfortable outfit. She did not mind. She did this often to in her villages.
Now, to get the child washed.
Might as well rent a place for one day? It won't hurt. She can make it up in miles with Aja now anyways.
Renting out a room with a bath.
"Come little one. Let's clean you off this filth. Maybe get you to trust me enough to talk to me. So I know what I should to with you. Your so young..to be given to the temple priests. I wish I knew what you though. Trust me little one. I will not harm you."
Pulling down her cloak fully. Revealed the woman to have a pale like the early morning skies, a sky blue color. Left loose down past her shoulders. Her skin was pale. Almost milky white if not paler.
"See, I'm harmless really."
Kneeling eye level with the child. And bring out her hand to the girl, for her to take, to trust her a little. At least enough to get her washed up clean of the muck she was covered in.

"Hahah... that's often the other way around," he said scrornfully. And yes, some of the more unsuspected priests did try to get a good word in for themselves through Ryushi. He looked at the vial with annoyance, and sped along the collecting with his own mentalist abilities.

She had gone placantly with the older woman into the inn room and listened to her speak. This woman was very pretty, and her hair was an odd color. She'd said something about her own hair being strange, but the girl didn't think so, her mom had the same hair colour, and so had her dad.

She wouldn't speak though, she opened her mouth to, but her face seemed to go blank for a moment as though she could see something else. In fact, she almost could, a number of tall men with faces and hands worked hard from sailing, turning away one by one. She lowered her head and closed her mouth, not making a sound although she did take the woman's hand.

Celestra took the child to her arms, hugging her.
"I think you could use a little love dear one."
Padding to the bathroom, she warmed up the water and pour somet scented oil into if from her many pockets.
"I hope you like winterberry smell. It's one of my favorite scent. I hope you don't mind. But I'm going to have to take your clothes off. and burn these aweful thing. You think they have some sense to put a decent clothes on you. Oh well, I got you something pretty to go with your pretty yellow hair. You seemed attach to your ribbon and shoes. You can keep it. But let's put in a safe place so it don't get soild, eh?"

(I'll pretend she got her clothes of without trouble and is in the tub getting scrubby squeeky clean? and If need a flea bath? >.>;; Don't ask. I read wayy to many books.)

"Oh, really?" She asked, still smiling as it became evident in her voice that she was smiling. "Tell me, if you don't seek to impress your betters, then why remain in a place you don't seem to like?" She glanced around the temple vaugly, still drawing mana into the vial held carelessly in her palm; it was slightly larger than the one she'd used before.

"It is easy to spot the devoted, and, you seem to lack the same humble streak as your peers."

-----------------

The girl jumped back slightly at the mention of having the woman undress her, finally showing a bit more emotion as she pursed her lips together in a sour way. She menuvered out of the woman's grasp and was holding her ribbon before the woman mentioned that she could keep them. She could get dressed herself, making that apparent as she tugged loose the ties herself to show she was capable.

Once in the bath after undressing on her own, the girl didn't have any issues with getting her face wet. Taking deep gasps before plunging her head under the water and scrubbing at her golden locks to remove the itchy crawly sensation along her scalp. She left the bath red from scrubbing herself clean, double-checking to make sure her ribbon was still there to make sure the woman hadn't lied and taken it away. The first thing she did upon seeing the woman again was touch her stomach, she was hungry. The men hadn't let her eat any of the fruit in the cart.

"This temple is the best way to both stem complaints and to progress," he said with a rather undisciplined tone to his voice. "It is... more tolerable than the alternatives." That didn't mean that he had to enjoy being here. Nor did it mean he had to enjoy the company of the guests. Why the heck was he talking to her, anyways? He had no reason to explain himself to this stranger.

Chuckling. "Hungry. Alright."
Lays out a pretty yellow with white lace sundress of sorts. And other garnments.
"Go get dressed. We'll get you something to eat. But let me at least brush your hair? Hmm? It's quite tangled."
Bringing out a brush she just brought for the girl, Celestra was having fun really. It was like having a little sister of her own. Even if the whole village children were like her little brothers and sisters. But she's far from home now. Alone in a very big world. Any company was a delight to her right now.

(( My ability to stay up longer has faded away to nothingness. ~~;; And the thought tomorrow I have some serious gardening work to do. *sighs* The things I do, to get a pretty shiny torphy prize. Night all. I'll see you tomorrow. Spring break here. So I'll be lurking. Again. and again...and again.))

But the fact of the matter was that he was explaining himself to her, if in a round-about way. His reply merely made her smile though,

"As I said, an honourable youth. Steming complaints towards yourself or your family?" She asked, prepared for him to tell her off, but not worried about such a reaction. "It is good to know that young people don't all run from their problems though." An odd statement even for her actually, he looked to be at least close to her age, perhaps still younger, but not by much.

----------

Surprisingly enough, as the girl's eyes fell on the lacey sundress, it looked almost plain to her. Celestra wouldn't have known it, but this child was from Lyr, colours never 'clashed' in this girl's house, they merely attracted more attention in certain arrangments.

She let the woman comb her hair though, alright with it as the itch across her scalp had faded. The small bag she'd brought with her sat at her feet and she tugged it up and into her toweled lap. Opening the draw-string, the bag was old and looked as if moths had gotten to it, the first thing she pulled out was a small block of interlocking pieces of metal.

She frowned at it, salt water had soaked the joints, drying and making it difficult to move the segments. She didn't like the bag, so took the end strap of the leather and began using it as if to clean the divice. There were ridges along it's sides for carrying mana, but they were long dry now.

"Myself, though it probably stops both," he said with a sort of look which held skepticism. He looked at her like she was suggesting something stupid, which she was, in his eyes. "Running from this problem would cause more problems than the previous."

When was this woman leaving? She made him uncomfortable. After all, most people either backed down or got angry in return to his demeanor.

"Things seem to be so much more difficult when bound tightly in a communitee, don't they? It's safer that way though." Capping the second vial, the third she wanted to fill from as close to the center of the temple as possible, so was finished for now.

"Thank you for entertaining me, but I'll be taking my leave now, I should be back later though." Still smiling, she began to walk past him as the vial slipped into the pouch at her belt, as she had the night before, one hand waved causally over her shoulder towards him.

((Nighty' night, Scar ^^))

"Mm," he grunted, in response to her statement about communities.

"Take your time," he said under his breath, before adding the proper farewell, complete with bow.

"May the spirits you along your path favourably," he said, still with a disgruntled tone of voice which lingered in the air even as he straightened up out of his bow, though it wasn't quite as annoyed as it had been. At least she was gone. She didn't continue with her subtle jabs, either. Or at least, they felt like jabs to him. Eh, he'd never understand runists, nor women. They'd always been one of those mysteries he'd rather not find out any more about.
