"Well s**t...." "Hold up... dont be so hasty... take a look there! No explosions or fire beneath the barge. Its not a military base, its a bunker with civilians. They are probably trying to break through the bunker to collect slaves... I cant snipe in this condition, but these are clearly marauders, get us on top of that ship. its likely that the majority of them went below to ready and break through the doors... we can probably take the bridge of the ship and use the cannons to burst through the tunnels and kill the humans. It will put the Neko below at risk but its MUCH better than what they are facing right now..."

He didn't like the sound of the idea, but it was there best shot. He just had to hope that as few neko's as possible would be hurt in the process. "Alright... but lets just pray this works..." he stared at the ship, considering where everything was on it. He had to know where it would be safe to set foot without getting lit up by one of the hull's cannons. "I guess it's now or never... One last question... Should we start loud, or try to be quiet till its unavoidable?" It would be hard to sneak around with his exo-suit, but he could still manage to avoid detection in most situations.

"Well s**t...." "It wont matter, so long as we can get inside the bridge... Im not the best hacker in the world but I have a few programs that are good on low quality programming, Just land us on top of that sucker and we will fight the skeleton crew to the bridge. Then we can take control of the weapon suits. If this succeeds we will have the party barge under our control and we can load up the civilians, even make for one of the planets poles. We can get proper extraction there..."
She breathed in deeply and gripped her pistol with her only good arm.
"...Hey if we survive this... you are buying me drinks ok?...."

"I'll show you that I'm not just bad luck!"
He smiled in his helmet and laughed. "Fine, after think drinking with a pretty girl would help to calm my nerves anyway." With that he made the leap for the ship, landing heavily on the outer hull. He landed so that his back was too the bridge, that way any shots fired from their would hit him and his shield and not his injured partner. He promptly set the woman down and pulled out his rifle. "Stay close... use me as cover." He said quickly, turning and starting to head towards their goal.

"Well s**t...." "Im injured not helpless..."
She groaned pulling through the pain as she used her bad arm to screw a suppressor onto the barrel of her pistol.
"Alright, lets do this...If its Marauders like we think... there will be one or two tougher ones on the bridge, just get in close and put them down."
She used her power to nullify the noise of his heavy armor glanging on the hull as she directed his attention to a service hatch.

He quickly made his way to the hatch, gripping the release lever, he forced it to the side, pulling the hatch in. He tried to easily let himself into the ship so as not to make her work to hard to cancel his sound. His suits system notified him of five hostiles in the control room, which they were just outside of. "An access hatch like that so close to the brains of the entire ship... Humans really are brainless... Let alone leaving so few people to guard the damned thing..." He braced himself against the wall, waiting for Tenchu to get down to him before activating the door. He clicked the safety release on his rifle and smirked a bit. It was time for a little revenge after what these people did to his kind.

"Well s**t...." Stepping through she gestured for him to follow.
"This is where things need to happen fast,"
She tapped the crudely painted symbols on the wall.
"Marauders... their chief is likely down below trying to get to the neko, every second counts... lets hurry"
She rounded the corner and fired twice into the head of a guard on patrol. The weapon made a quiet high pitched cough noise as the human's brain boiled and charred as the still burning plasma slowly burnt out inside his skull.

The tech knight moved right behind her, taking point and heading further up the hall until he hit the door he had been looking for. Daishu activated the door and quickly rushed in. Tenchu had been right, two of the humans were more important than the others. One even seemed to be using a pirate quality variant of exo-suit.
Seeing what was likely nekomian tech being used by a human made the young knight a bit viciously angry. He chose to ignore the other two, he figured Tenchu could kill them easily enough while their eyes were on him. He rushed the tougher human that wasn't armored, planting the barrel of his weapon against the man's chest.
Daishu squeezed the trigger, dispatching his first target with little issue. The armored one apparently was better than the neko had guessed. Daishu felt an impact into the side of his suit and was sent back a bit, his rifle knocked from his grip. He growled a bit, forcing himself to his feet and rushing his assailant. He quickly sent the human sprawling against the ground as he only really managed to surprise the young male. Daishu stomped his boot down on the chest of the armor, applying more pressure as he kind of felt something snap inside his head. He suddenly engaged the thruster on the bottom of his boot, but didn't let his foot be pushed up. Instead, the intense heat burned through the armor and bored a hole into the human's chest before Daishu finally stepped off of him.

"Well s**t...." Tenchu's pistol sang as she shot all humans present and those who rushed in while they took care of the little remaining. She ignored Daishu's targets but very quickly moved to the control panel at the systems command console. Plugging a drive into it a small floating class five AI popped up in holographic display.
"Seal off all doors, vent all oxygen from the ship accept within the bridge, fire heavy cannons into the caverns below once. Then finally shut down all wireless receivers on board the ship."
She moved back to the captains chair and started going through the logs and sensor data as the AI did the work following the commands.
"They started half an hour ago and have not gotten through the final doors yet. From the looks of this..."
*BOOOOOOM*
"... ah.. yes... as I was GOING to say, the heavy canons wont break through the blast doors, but they will gut those tunnels with fire and shrapnel. I think ... lemme see.."
She tapped the display and double checked with a short bit of meditation.
"Yes... all the humans in the tunnel are dead...The last one from what I can tell on the ship just stopped breathing, we will give him another few minutes before we open the ship up again.... there are a few stragglers but they are running and will be a needle in a haystack in this broken city."
She brought up a display that would show how hot the interior of the tunnel was, counting down just two hours before the tunnel was safe enough to travel through.
"Ill try and hail the group inside, they might just be very happy to see friendly forces out here..."

Daishu's eyes didn't leave the last man he killed for a moment as Tenchu did her work. He'd never killed anyone that way before. A rifle was one thing, but the sound of pain the man made when the flame tore through him was terrible.
With a small curse leaving his lips, Daishu cleared his head, walking over to Tenchu. "I do have to say... that considering how this all started for the two of us, I'm amazed we managed to pull this off..." He relaxed a bit, it was finally over and they had managed to save the others. He leaned against the chair she was sitting in and let out a relieved sigh. It almost looked like this mission had bleak chances, but the two of them managed and now they could see about getting the innocents to safety. "Much more gratifying work than guarding some Fat Cat..."

"Well s**t...." "It was nothing short of amazing luck.... and yeah... much better than some petty desk job or for that matter staying at home for annoying parents to worry over you and coddle you like you are some fragile broken thing...."
She scoffed and tapped the coms as she linked up to normal council sanctioned channels.
"...Hello?.... hello?....anyone alive down there?...Im sure you heard the big boom and noticed that the humans are no longer alive to try and break in...how many of you are down there?..."
She waited taking her finger off the button before looking at Daishu.
"You owe me those drinks....heh... amazing luck... maybe enough to cancel all my s**t luck... Imma keep you around."
She smiled warmly.
"This is council representative Tairanshu... who am I speaking with?"
She gestured to the coms remembering that she was technically not even a council force, He had ten times more authority here even if he had practically none.

"This is Elite Tech Knight Daishu." he said speaking up after his visor and helmet parted open. His lips returned the smile Tenchu gave him as he spoke. "You'll have to forgive us for the late arrival, entering the combat zone was complicated by the destruction of our own ship... I need a status report on how things are on your end, as well as a count of how man you managed to shelter. Also, in two hours the tunnels will be safe and we're going to load everyone onto this commandeered vessel and transport you all to evacuation." Despite the seriousness he had to embody with his response, he couldn't help but feel happy at the moment. He stood a bit prouder knowing that they had managed to pull this operation together from scraps.

"Well s**t...." Tenchu watched the exchange happily listening to every detail as the voice sounded back.
"Daishu?....wait... DAISHU?... you mean..."
the voice stopped as if the neko on the other side was weighing the thought of something before he responded.
"..ah.. um.. yes... only 30% give or take of the populace of this city made it down here... that is just 8 thousand neko....There is an alternate exit... we can pick up sticks and leave right now.... no need to wait for the tunnels...."
"8000?...hrmmm.. oh yeah if we dump some of the excess cargo we can fit that.... best to mag lock the atmospheric fighters to the exterior of the ship... Ill hit that up now...You take one of the drop ships from the hangar to ground and pick up all the neko who know how to fly first, they can take the other drop ships and we can start a full scale evac... then maybe we can get to the south pole and contact any council reinforcements...."

"Understood. I'll be on the ground in ten minutes, our evac operation will commence once your first group arrives. Tairanshu... Thank you for supporting your people in their time of need." he said easily, then started off. Wanting to get the operation under way. Once he was ground side, he stepped out of the the drop ship and waited for his kin to start arriving. While he waited, he reflected on how things had turned out. The humans had managed to wipe out so many nekos in such a short time... but to be rescuing roughly 8000 people, that put his mind a bit at ease.

"Well s**t...." Quickly getting to the hangar she moved one by one all the craft and excess cargo out of the hangar bay she could afford to move. Most of it was loot from the cities, precious metals and jewels. Just things that the humans wanted and that could be sold to the human empire. There was a very large area filled with cages that now doubt was going to be where they put all their slaves. This too she dumped off the side of the ship. Keeping only the large crates of food and weapons before she started parking the fighters on top of the party barge. With the combined efforts of Daishu and now the other pilots the mass of Neko were now mostly on board and some of the elderly veterans were already on the bridge with a tired and somewhat annoyed Tenchu as they plotted a path to the south pole. Tara'Shu had very strong magnetic fields. Just hiding at one of the poles would make human systems near worthless for finding other ships. However, they could easily build a device to send coded messages into space for reinforcements, even bounce messages off the atmosphere to target other surviving forces to come to the poles and wait for rescue.
