 "That wouldn't happen to be one of these two here, is it?" Alice pointed at the both the weird fellow and the rabbit upon hearing what the purple witch said. Nis suddenly interrupts them with his ...odd way of doing so. "Here's your tea, Alice-chan" said the old lady who just finished serving the other customers. "Oh? Are these people your friend?" She asked. "Well... quite but not quite. More importantly, Thanks again, grandma." She happily takes a sip as soon as the tea was brought down to the table. "I should be the one thanking you, dear. For bringing in potential customers~" the owner jokingly replied before going back to work. Just as soon as she left, the rabbit, who looked quite unpleasant, suddenly ran away and into the crowd. No reason nor any signs of farewell was given. "Aren't you going to go after her?" she asked, looking at Nis.

She focused her gaze onto Nis, at first glance, she looks horribly bored. But to the librarian, she is interested. With this long term stare, either one of the people in the crowd will finally know what she means. After all, what she actually is up to is only a doubt started in her mind:
If I am not mistaken, he has different power than those of youkai...
These are the thoughts that has been lingering in her, and that is all about the one he is staring at for a long time. And as she even observed it all along, from how he sounded: it smelled of the strong stench of pride. Possibly added into her thoughts would be he is of high authority...

he chuckled eyeing her back before looking to Alice
"..sorry no...I was playing a joke...sorry I tend to be rather crass sometimes .....but no I only just met her and had nothing better to do than tease her....speaking of nothing better to do...I believe I have more exploring to do...."
his eyes strained looking at Alice with almost what looked like regret before he pulled a small crystal out. He couldnt use his powers in front of the purple witch and he needed to imply that they way he did his things was not through the power he was hiding. The crystal was very easy to identify as a teleportation medium, a pre stored spell contained within the crystal as well as some magical power. sorcerers in various areas within Europe and the nordic areas sold them as a means to get by.
"well if there is no further questions...I would so very much so like to see you girls again....its been quite fun....but this old man has other things to do"

"That's quite a shame, really. That rabbit seem to have taken a liking to you." She nonchalantly said to Nis before looking back to Patchouli, she went on and continued talking after taking a quick sip. "Excluding the rabbit that ran away just now, there's only one other person here who pretty much fits that description." Alice pointed once again at Nis, who seem to like all the attention he's being given. At this point, she just wants this conversation to reach a conclusion and have them on their way but her curiosity got the better of her so she decided to follow up an inquiry. "However, I'm more interested as to why the presence of something we know nothing of yet is enough for you to leave your shell and do your very own investigation. You would usually send your familiar to do the field work and manual labour that you yourself despise afterall." Nis would then ask if there's no more questions for him to answer but Alice managed to stop him from leaving by a little lie. "Actually, this maiden here looks like she wants to observe you a bit more so perhaps you can set aside your other plans for now and entertain her~" She suggested before facing at the other magician again with a mischievous look. "Right~?"

The librarian quickly pivoted to Alice right after long minutes of observing the man leave. With a calm gaze, as if she's ready for all the explanation sequences she will come through:
"You probably... won't understand why I did not send my familiar over here..."
Right after, Patchouli waved a finger nearby Alice, continuing the statement. In order to make it all clear, why she has complete interest in all of a sudden to the man. And quite noticeable; no one else.
"He has that certain power... to rule, as I suspect. But as of now, it is merely just a hypothesis."
All these times, after extensive research, she knows one specie of creatures that has the power of that kind: A lich, if she is not mistaken. From another folklore besides in here at Gensokyo... Later on she noticed another question from the puppeteer.
"I'd rather say a no to this one. Since my study here is done, I'd be standing by for at least a cup of tea before returning back..."
