General info

As a foal, one of the first individual he attacked was a Raccoon wearing an angeni charm: After the first hour or so of approaching and being repelled back by the charm, the raccoon ripped the gem part of the necklace off and, using a sling, smacked the young walker in the chest with it, having them recoil back in pain, letting the Raccoon escape.


When Rainshadow woke up, he ached all over, was still hungry, but no longer wanting to attack other creatures. Instead, he found a small coyote pack and snatched away their kill, running off with it harmlessly.


He watched others from the shadows, listening to their language and learning it in the way most purewalkers do.As individuals tended to flee as soon as he made himself visible, he learned to be stealthy. As he neared the end of his foalhood, he approached an individual with a beautiful necklace he wanted and stated "I want your necklace." startling them and having positioned himself so they wouldn't be able to flee with ease. Even as a foal in the middle of their main growth spurt, they were larger than the mare they approached, with brilliantly glowing eyes and claws, His charm glowing like a crackling third eye in his chest.

The mare quickly gave the necklace up, cowering in fear.

He took it gleefully and left.

From then on, if he wanted something, anything, he simply took it, or asked for it, never getting told no: He was friendly, but terrifying to the locals of his home territory. Many learned to kill extra so he wouldn't steal their entire kill, to not wear jewelry they didn't want stolen. Though as he entered puberty and developed into an adult, many were still too terrified of him to say no when his interest turned towards more 'adult' interests, either submitting or simply fleeing, not wanting to anger him.

However, Rainshadow as he was now called by the locals and himself, for his ability to sneak up like a shadow but terrify like a storm, has no malicious intent, though he is self centered, egotistical, and at this point considers himself some sort of God or King, getting whatever he wants.

If confronted with someone who fights him aggressively, he'd recoil back and flee, not knowing how to fight or hunt for himself, and if someone simply stated no to his wishes, he'd sulk and whine and complain, but not do anything about it. However, if someone attacks someone from their territory, he'll charge them with their massive bulk and pin them on their sides where they can't strike back, and sit on them till the one they were attacking gets away. He then chases the accuser out of the territory with nips and slashing motions. Because of this, he keeps most uncharmed walkers out of his territory should they attack any sentient being in his herd. Making it a safe passage in a mostly unsafe area. Because of that some have settled down in his part of the forest, and have learned his ways and have grown fond of the "Big Dumb Bird".

He's still fairly young, but when you get your way for the first 7 years of your life, it's a bit hard to learn other ways.

• Only knows how to fly in his Feral form.
  
• Doesn't actually wear the jewelry he steals, instead keeping it in his nest along with other pretty things He wants
  
• Has created a sort of rough house out of sticks, living saplings, stolen leathers and additional materials keep his nest dry, similar to a Vogelkop bowerbird only slightly more permanent. It's actually fairly colorful and has quite a few of his collected items, making a sort of rough tent with a woven stick sides and a leather top
  
• Speaks Common (English) Poorly: Speaks in sentences like "I like your shiny give me" and "You're pretty lemme smash?"

• Locals tend to accept his presence as a necessary 'evil' now: he keeps the purewalkers who used to hunt them actively away, since he protects those in his territory. They recognize he's just a big dumb bird.They're just terrified of saying no because they don't want to risk a temper tantrum being violent since they have no idea what he'd do if they said no rather than running away.

• Lives in a pack called the Kennel Association Pack full of dog like familiars, other dog-like Charmed Walkers (pure and adopted-in cursed members who had been charmed were looking for a place they'd be accepted), dog-like soq of various races (often the result of generations of adopting cursed walkers and breeding with them) and a small handful of Angeni that turn human when visited by outsiders: Until angeni charms became common knowledge, they've been hiding as domestic dogs for generations, living peacefully.
