Travis looked at the phone the words I love you repeating in his ears. He was sure that Takano loved him he had no doubt about the mans affections. It was just a shock to hear him say it. Travis continued to look at the phone in his hands until the door opened and he saw Takano walk into the room.

Standing the teen moved over and hugged his teacher looking up into the red puffy face. "You look terrible." The teen said with a small smile, but he didnt care just then. "Cold water usually helps... So does not having your heart broken by the person you love. I can't promise ill return those feelings Takano, but I do know I want to stay with you."

Takano smiled softly, holding the boy tighter while a tear rolled down his face. "Travis.. Thank you. I won't make you love me. But I will take good care of you. You're the sweetest person I've ever known. And I hope you'll someday see yourself the way I see you." He kissed the top of Travis' head as he finished talking.

He now held the teen's shoulders and looked at him. "Come now, let's go home, and I'll fix dinner." He said with a much more convincing smile. as he led Travis out the door to his car.

"Don't thank me... I should be thanking you for coming when you did, for bringing me to your home, for opening your heart to a kid no one else has loved. I am not sweet, at least I don't think so." He said with a laugh before he blushed feeling the man's lips on the top of his head.

Home... Now that sounded nice. "Yes, lets go home. I want to get out of here." Travis said staying close to the man to be sure that no one would stop him from leaving. "Why did you have those men bring me here anyways? You could have just called and be done with it I would figure out it was you of course but by then it wouldn't have mattered right."

Takano smiled again, opening the car door for Travis. "You're very sweet, Travis. And very special. There's no one in the world like you. You're on in a million." He tried to explain to Travis.

He listened as Travis asked him a question. "I called Kelly to get you out of there.. I thought you didn't want see see me again. I just wanted you to be safe. Even if it wasn't with me. I just wanted you to be ok." He told the boy, trying not to let more tears come.

Travis shook his head but didnt argue with the older male. Sure he might be different, but special? He couldn't see it. What he could see was that Takano really did care about him and we'll honestly, he felt his heart open if only a bit more to the man. He didnt know why he didnt want to trust anyone, okay he did know, but was it really so bad when the person next to him wanted him safe?

"It's not that I didnt want to see you... I needed space after what had happened, to clear my head.i mean I slept with you.... The first person I sleep with is well a man and my teacher? That is a lot to take in. Sure I was aware I was gay, but to actually well do something like that was a shock to me. As for being okay, I've been okay for two years alone, it's actually not that hard to live on your own."

Takano continued to drive to his home with Travis in the passenger seat. "I.. Understand. And it was wrong of me to push so much on you so suddenly. I'm sorry." He said with a sad look on his face and a distant look in his eyes.

He looked over at Travis briefly. "Living alone is pretty easy. I should know. But you weren't safe there. And everyone needs some companionship. I will keep you safe here. Travis. You wont have to worry about being alone... And I promise not to touch you again.. Not they way I did. That was wrong of me."
He explained as he continued to drive.

"It was sudden yes, but it... Wasnt wrong to want to express your feelings for someone else. I... Would have done the same thing in your place I'm sure." Seeing the sad look Travis felt terrible, he couldn't explain it but his heart felt heavy.

"I don't want to be alone, not anymore as for the touching... It wasnt unpleasant. Actually I enjoyed it." He didnt mention that he hurt afterwards but he was sure Takano knew that. "I believe I can come to love you... It will just take a bit longer for me to open up."

Takano stopped the car. They had arrived. He looked at Travis, a little shocked at what he'd just said. "You.. Do? I.. I wont force you too.. But.. Thank you, Travis. Thank you for giving me the chance to do this right." He stepped out of the car a walked around so he could let Travis out, then he led him inside the home. "Um.. So, what would you like for dinner?" He asked politely. "I'll make whatever you want, my pantry is fully stocked." He explained.

Travis looked at his teacher for a moment before he got out of the car. "Well, you deserve a chance and I want to give you that chance. I might not love you, but I like you and that's a start right?"

As he went into the man's home he looked down for a moment. "Why not surprise me. Just don't add anything special this time around." He joked with a light laugh.

Takano smiled. "Feel free to watch me. Or look around. You're free to that as well. Sorry there's a mess in my room.. I haven't gotten the chance to clean it up just yet." He was referring to the bottles of pills scattered on his bed and partially on the floor. His bedroom door was open, but you couldn't see the pills from the doorway. Takano walked towards the kitchen. "So how about.. Mac n' Cheese and hotdogs? Sound good to you? Or would you prefer spaghetti?" He asked.

Travis nodded and went to explore the house. When he poked his head into Takano's room he looked concerned. Kelly did say something about him trying suicide, was this that attempt? Had Travis called just before the other was going to? Suddenly the teen sank to the ground unsure of what he was feeling. He didnt want Takano to die, to lose him. He looked at the man when he spoke the thought of dinner forgotten as his arms went around the man's waist.

"I don't know what I feel for you, but I don't want to lose you... Tell me, what were you going to do if you never saw me again?"

Takano welcomed what he first thought was a hug. Then he heard Travis' voice. "You saw my room... Th- the pills... Travis.. I thought you hated me.. I thought I'd hurt you. I can't live knowing that I'd hurt the person I loved most... I'm sorry.. I'll clean up the mess. But you don't have to worry about it anymore." He started to moved towards the bedroom, but he couldn't because Travis was still holding onto him.

Travis shook slightly hearing the other speak. He wouldn't forgive himself if Takano had ended his life. "I... You promise you won't do that or try to kill yourself. If you do I really won't forgive you." the teen said looking serious. He didn't know why he did the next bit. Standing as tall as he could he kissed Takano and didn't pull away for a few minutes. "I care about you... I won't lose you, not when I've started to realize what I feel for you, what I think I feel."

Takano nodded as Travis spoke. But when he was suddenly kissed, his eyes went wide and he could only hold Travis close and kiss back. "I love you, Travis. I promise I wont try to end my life again. Thank you." He said with a smile. "Thank you for being the first to care about me."

When he broke the kiss Travis looked at Takano but didn't say anything for a moment instead he listened to the man. "I think I love you... I can't explain what else it is I'm feeling otherwise." hearing that the man wouldn't hurt himself the teen nodded.

"I can't be the first. Kelly cares about you too. I know she does." was all he could say about that.
