The Faceless Apparition
I can't really think of any plot ideas, but perhaps trying to organize a scheduled battle maybe once or twice a week to bring characters from each team together in a fight would be interesting. I've recently gotten into writing TF2 stories so, sorry if I can't help out much. x.x

Writing fanfics and roleplaying is about the same. Plots can be worked out between players or on a larger scale. I am just very use to having a lot of minor plots happening around larger ones to keep things interesting. I do not want the roleplay to start to drag because of the lack of ideas.

I think we should invest more into character interactions without any base plot, at least for now.

I'm making two more characters for RED, so I can at least talk to myself ._.

And you're free to do that, but from my experience group roleplays tend to suffer when characters are expected to approach one another out of the blue. Many times a plot device has to force characters together to interact. As I see many right now are having trouble just walking up to each other and starting a conversation because of a character's personality. Many hang back, watch rather than interact, until someone else makes the first move.

Besides, a "base plot" is more wide-scale. Subplots, such as friendships, romances, rivalries, betrayals, minor encounters fostered by plot devices, can keep things interesting between players. That was what I am aiming for here. This isn't to say everyone has to do it, but I gladly offer my characters to help play out interesting scenarios among my fellow players and their characters.

You made a good point there, if I may say so myself. I think this all just depends on what the players can decide on.

I can imagine Krueger having a sort-of rivalry with Schultze, because they're mostly fighting for authority here.

Perhaps authority over who is the superior medic, as Dietrich takes great pride in his work, but Dietrich is not there as a combatant. He is a mentor and is there to oversee the team's progress, and any wrench thrown into his well-oiled machine will easily get on his bad side. (I also, as you may have seen, abuse his IC authority to bring people together and hopefully give them things to do.)

It is because of his "behind the scenes" nature as RED's overseer that I contemplate entering an actual RED combatant in order to participate in missions. We will see.

Indeed..Opposed to Krueger's self-proclaimed general-on-field status, where all he wants is to lead the team to victory, despite often acting uncooperative and rebellious. Though, sometimes, he makes bad decisions that do not end well.

I'm almost done setting up these two REDs, a Demoman and Soldier, that should even out the teams a bit.

Mm, I would be careful not to throw characters around just to even out teams. You want to enjoy playing them, no? I do not know where to begin to bring in one of mine. I am so use to playing canon characters, I rarely have time to flesh out any customs.

Haha, of course, the base reason for making extra characters is having fun with them, but evening things out is also good (seeing how RED is lacking explosive classes anyway). I enjoy playing canons, but bringing something "of my own" into a character is always a preference; makes it more interesting.

So far, Demoman's all set up, just gotta put it up here and finish up with the Soldier.

Sorry, I only know how to use potions. Maybe if they loaded their last save file they wouldn´t be in this predicament.

Well, I asked it before so I'll ask it again of the roleplayers who are still here.

Anyone want to plot together?

You mean, think of a plot? We need more of those.

My ideas so far:
- a cook-out
- an epidemic
- some sort of grouped character problem(s)
- A group effort to repair something.
- Community talks about life back home, or other things.
- Group effort to make a movie night, or something. Everyone goes out of their way to get films, equipment. Mail for it, possibly.
- Characters are put together [possibly from duties; we need to think those up], and end up sharing things.
- Building a chicken/goose/ect coop for fresh eggs. There should be farmland at least in a thirty mile radius where they can 'buy' poultry.] [It would likely only contain one or two, because this is supposed to be a 'facility', mentioning this already is a little 'unreasonable', and taking them outside/cleaning up the fecal matter is something some might not want.]
- Setting up a small indoor/outdoor [hidden in a nook, out of way of the action] garden for vegetables and fruit. The source would be the same as the chickens.
- Family members of more endemic characters [or else, within reason] could show up.
- Embarrassing secrets could come out, or threatened to be spread around.
- There could be a mystery prankster.
- Snowball/water fights.
- One or more characters, at different times, could start teaching others how to do something.
- There could be a blizzard or heavy hail/sleet-storm, which forces the characters to remain indoors and find ways to keep warm.
- Hippies could start to camp out in the town, which would effect the mercenaries as much as it would the people living there. Can't avoid that greasy hair.
- One or more of the mercenaries could go out to get a shipment that was sent somewhere else wrongly - or go get supplies because one didn't come at all, or they got 'wrong' orders.
- Someone could slip drugs into everyone's food.
- One of the Medics [I pick Klaus] could go too far in experimenting with something. This includes anatomical or chemical changes in one of the character's bodies. He would have to focus on the stem cells within their spines/bone marrow [which affect a huge amount of the body] to trigger that change, which would be gradual enough not to draw attention until it was too late, and that person had to be put out of their misery to restart. The stem-cells would have to be altered in a way that allows compatibility with everything. Bone growths, feathers [since they are made of keratin, which we have - but it would only replace hair], and else might be possible with other chromosomally-changing 'treatments'.
- Crazy drunk party, minors welcome.
- Certain characters could go poking around the compound, looking for things - and possibly finding them [old warehouses, storage cellars, ect.]
- One or more characters could 'go missing' for a while, whether due to a complication in the machinery, or an unshared, planned leave.
- And more ideas, that should be supplied below. For character as much as group and plot development. We really need them.

Those are good springboards, Teuicui. Now to tie them together.

I was thinking of sending my BLU Spy to RED for a scouting trip, get some dirt on RED's numbers and current security, and I'm looking for someone to catch him but not kill him. Someone he can easily trick and manipulate into letting him go, but someone he can come back to later to "talk to". To start a shaky cross-team friendship with that puts both characters on edge any time the other is around, whether they should trust them or not.
